The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

Rando means random or unknown, its a southern term. It's cool though just want to know how the lady was perfuming. ;)

Ok, that did make me laugh. :laughtwo: Whew! LOL! You had me worried there. I've been known to be clueless a time or two, so I wasn't sure. :laughtwo:

I've been meaning to mention for a number of days now that she has a lovely and intoxicating grapey smell. Looking at the buds, they're the perfect size for Baked Buds, which I haven't eaten since Dale died in June. I think instead of baking that harvest into brownies I'll just bake the buds and eat them like candy.

Working with CFLs up close and personal is not for the faint of heart.

This is something I'd never thought of since I don't use cfls much. They do freak me out a bit. I've managed to break a couple, and reading precautions like the one below make me realize that in the unlikely event of breaking one over your plants- you're either going to be smoking mercury from then on, or throwing out the entire grow. What a horrible thought.
Stay safe, people!!!
:)

Proper CFL Cleanup from the EPA:

Have people and pets leave the room.

Air out the room for 5–10 minutes by opening a window or door to the outdoor environment.

Shut off the central forced air heating/air-conditioning system, if you have one.

Place cleanup materials in a sealable container.

Promptly place all bulb debris and cleanup materials outdoors in a trash container or protected area until materials can be disposed of properly.

Avoid leaving any bulb fragments or cleanup materials indoors.

For several hours, continue to air out the room where the bulb was broken and leave the HVAC system shut off.
Yuck...

Smoke Report: Kalashnikova Auto

"Someone to cling to me, stay with me right or wrong. Someone to sing to me some little samba song."

Gosh, this has been the most Elegant high I've had in a long time. I like to let the initial hits choose the music and Kalashnikova Auto decided it would be Elaine Elias and the smooth jazz strains of her album "Dreamer." I'm typing this to the samba beat of "So Nice". It's a trip, I'll tell you.

I started out with these bits here.

image2989.jpeg

She was a ragged batch of bits in the end that have kicked my butt since the third hit. I took the eighth one as I began typing. I've been lost in music from the beginning. Elaine, Diana Krall, and, to spice it up, the occasional Walk Off The Earth sidetrack. Even the mellow jazzy choices have had movement opportunity and I'm learning to dance with light feet, so it's been lots of fun.

Try getting really ripped and watching WOTE with Scott Helman do "Can't Feel My Face". Try not to move. I dare you. :laughtwo: I had to go back to Elaine Elias because I couldn't stop moving to WOTE and I wanted to be able to type.

She's a very quick high and a happy buzz with motivation to get moving. I would think this would be an excellent buzz for a gathering of friends. A sweet skunky smell - not at all unpleasant. I can't pin the taste. There was a moment there when I got a flash of "Fuel," but to be honest, I don't know what that would taste like, so that has to be pure instinct talking. If it's fuel its ecologically friendly, with no unhappy tones on the taste buds and a clean, smooth after effect. Sweet.

I know I've been lost in here for at least an hour. So glad I decided to stay up. Highly recommended. Boarderline hallucinogenic. There was a period of time around hit three or four when I knew what it felt like to be smoke rising in a column to the ceiling. Haha! Lost quite a bit of time there, come to think of it. I feel taller, sleeker, sensual, fluid, elegant. It's amazing, how elegant I feel right now.

Side bar: Try typing to a samba beat sometime. This is so much fun. I've kept her on a loop while I typed. "So nice, that would be so nice..." Every once in a while you lose me to the need to move. It's a samba. It occurs to me that Callanetics will give me hips that will be perfect for the Latin dances. Ahhh... A strain that has me dancing. A keeper, even if she was stingy. It's up to the happy cultivator to increase yields in future grows.

I want to thank the inventors of intuitive typing. They have saved me. I think I need to stop now. I want to take two more hits and watch that "Can't Feel My Face" video. :laughtwo: They have such fun making music.

"Should it be you and me? I can see that would be nice.."

Wow!!! I was lost in that for two hours. Hahaha! Grow this one guys.

I am so high and going higher. Can't stop moving to the music, and that's been going on for over two hours.

Kind of bitter sweet to see all this get harvested...no new ones going in :(

When I come home from vacation - what a wonderful word - I'll be back in full swing. Only improved. Stealthy. We'll get to explore being stealthy SweetSue's way. Won't that be fun? Designing and constructing smaller cabinets, al though B A R sure did make those smaller tents attractive. :hmmm: I have some great seeds to choose from, too. It'll be a great new year.

I'll have more time to visit your grow. :battingeyelashes:

Looks tasty! (Except for the hair on your tray) :cheesygrinsmiley: Just messin'...

I would love to have one of those brownies

You'll be able to make your own soon enough. That isn't a hair, it's a defect in the glaze. It fools me all the time when I'm really high. :laughtwo:

Yuck...

Agreed, Yuk! The general idea is don't break one, but it can be so easy to get careless. That could be said about so many things we deal with in gardening, can't it? Safety first. Thank you for expressing the concerns. I'll be more carefully attentive.

Truthfully I could never understand the appeal. A young hottie is nice to look at but who would want to spend a lot of time with them?

Yeah, only nice to look at. Seriously don't even want to hear them try to form a sentence anymore. I am so tired of vapid, self absorbed younger generations. Completely devoid of stimulating intellect. I blame TV, PDA's and 'smart' phones, nutrition and our education system.

But those jeans suuuure look good on some of 'em ;)

That's my mini rant for the day.

 I don't know if you read my telling, but about a year before he died we had an angry old woman watch me adjust his wheelchair for him and fuss over him tell us I pandered to him like no one she'd ever seen and that I looked much to young to be his wife. He actually responded with "She's my trophy wife". Then he continued that endearment right up to his last conscious moment. Once in jest I said something about the humor of that statement and he smiled and said "You've always been my trophy wife."

What woman doesn't want to hear that from her husband of 35 years when she's just dropped 50+ pounds she carried for decades? He made me promise him I'd stick with Callanetics because he was certain I had another man out there somewhere. I believe his words were "You're not meant to live alone too long."

Sweet, sweet man.

Good morning Sue. Just stopping by your garden and enjoying my first cup of coffee. Can I offer you one? My new tent is up and running so hopefully I can invite you to my green garden soon. I just put the beans is soil last night so they will be popping their heads up soon I hope. Have a great and green day!!!! :peace:

Ahhh... Groomer, you're definately a man after my own heart. Coffee first thing in the morning. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: And a new thread, too. How exciting. :yahoo: I'll be over in a minute to sub.

Everyone else - Good Morning.. My fingers are still working to the samba beat. :laughtwo:

Time for a brownie to go with that coffee supergroomer brought. Maybe some oatmeal. :battingeyelashes:

Glad to see your having another great morning Sue,
Total agree with your feeling towards that morning coffee....yummy, coffee

Have a great day Sue, and keep moving to the music.

My last post was on your journal. We need a community grow room. Hahaha!

Kalishnikova is a strain I've never heard of before. It does sound enticing.

Now that I've been here, I have my 'Happy' on!

Sue if you like mellow jazz, try Bob James Grand Piano Canyon... It is great for those laid back days when you want to listen to something different. His wife Hillary James also has a great album called Storm Front

See my Off topic journal for a groovy video

Llama, I'm posting it on my Spot, before they take it down, which will be in a moment I'm sure. :laughtwo: Thank you, it's some of my favorite music.

This coffee with roasted chicory root is some of the richest and tastiest coffee I have ever enjoyed. I can see how for most people it would be an acquired taste, but decades of drinking thick, fresh roasted coffee kinda set me up for it. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Getting ready to start the many drenches lined up for today. I'm gonna start with the Kit girls, because I need to run to the store for coconut water before I do the LOS pots. That'll give me a nice walk to break up the work. Before I get lost in the drenches I took a few when I couldn't resist anymore and opened the zipper up to stick my head and the camera in.

The Dark Devil Auto is the thirstiest. She's up first.

Look at the babies! Go girls, go!!! :slide:

image3014.jpeg

Wow! The Afghani isn't wasting any time filling the stem. That leaves her a few weeks to bulk up. Coconut water Susan.

image3015.jpeg

Carnival very softly whispered "Dream on sister." :laughtwo:

image3016.jpeg

I hope your day turns out to be one you look back on with fondness and warmth. You know what it takes, so let me say it.

"Get out there and spread that joy Baby."

Alright. Enough dawdling. On to the gardening.

:ciao: :green_heart:
