The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

The story of my adult life!

It frustrates my daughter somewhat that I intend that this be the story of the remainder of my adult life. :laughtwo:

Anyone else having trouble accessing photos for posting?

I guess this is my cue for breakfast and coffee.

Ahhh.... GOT IT!!

A bit of a growth spurt overnight, so a bit of tucking and bending over is called for. I find this process more enjoyable than I thought I would. For one thing, you spend more time with her, just looking for where that next tuck would work best. How do I direct that branch to this area, in a way so it believes the choice was its own? We're going for happy plant here. I can allow her to believe she's in control.

This one - this unbelievably vibrant piece of flora - likes the game. Sometimes she'll call me over and, sure enough, someone got cocky and needs to be gently reminded that we're working as a team here. Then she gets tucked.

Heheh! This is fun. I wanna do another. Can I? Can I? :yahoo:

Oh yeah! That's right!

Jamaican Dream. :laughtwo: (Day 22) She'll be up canned as soon as Carnival moves into the tent. The soil is dry, so hoping for soon. This one was ready yesterday!

Now, breakfast and coffee. Ahhh, coffee. I'll have you know I make damn good coffee. Strong enough my brothers can't drink it. Air Force wimps! Trained to drink watered-down s**t.

So let me grind those beans and get into the tent. The brownie is hitting on all cylinders now.

Hmmm, eggs or oatmeal? Oatmeal. Yep.

:ciao:

Haha this made me laugh so hard! Mainly because I get so stoned at home ALL THE TIME and leave the house to do something as simple as rake the leaves and it's like "Wow can everyone else tell how medicated I am right now?"

And then " I bought more brownie mix" that's the icing on the cake right there!

Morning love! MUAH!

YES!!! You've captured it perfectly Pigeons! I'm always wondering if it's obvious? Not that I care, just that I'm curious.

Managed a few decent hours there. Started to bed around 1 and got continuously distracted until 5:30. Slept all of three hours until the eyes popped open, ready to go again. I always try to close my eyes and drift back under. That hasn't been an effective method of getting more sleep since Friday the 13th of February. Wow! How crazy that the transitional death spiral date would be Friday the 13th, eh? I bet, wherever Dale is, that one makes him laugh.

I read through the last two pages from the previous day to make sure no one got lost behind in the flurry of posts, came to this one and shot right out of bed. I'd forgotten!!!

I'm up, I've already danced through the apartment to " Just a the Two Of Us", belting it out at full throttle. What a glorious way to wake up the vocal chords!! Into the shower and on with the day. New seeds to plant. :woohoo:

image33634.jpg

Had to drop another AJH x AA seed. The first one refused to sink. Give this one an hour. I only have three seeds left.:yikes:

Well, it's been fun and I'm enjoying smoking something most people in the world won't even have the opportunity to try. What a kick. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning buckaroos! Let's get busy!!!

Surely you have a strain that makes you sleepy? I would think that brownies made with a sleepy strain would knock you out like a light. I have had insomnia to some degree for a several years now. (A fire at 4am in your home does things to your peace of mind) Here is how I get to sleep. Recite something to yourself that you know well, like a song or a poem or a favorite passage in a book. I personally recite the Lord's Prayer over and over until I fall asleep. Usually dont make it all the way the 3rd one. Ive also had success with slowly spelling my first and middle name over and over until I bore myself to sleep. haha

Those are all effective methods. I actually have an especially effective sweeping-it-out-the-door visualization I used when the children were small and poverty was grueling. Sleep was a problem then, but I had young ones to keep alive, so sleep was more of an imperative.

What I've found as I've gone along is that the convoluted sleep cycle I'm running on now is meeting most of my energy needs and the Sativas are keeping the head clear and engaged, so I'm trying to embrace the change. It's challenging because we're so well-trained to conform to set social schedules that I keep fighting my natural urge to just go with the flow.

And no, I'm not interested in cannabis that isn't Sativa-dominant. This high is what I've searched for. This feels normal to me. I'm sticking with it. My body will crash when I get overextended and it'll make me sleep. I don't operate any heavy machinery or care for any young. I'm only a danger to myself. :laughtwo:

Something I didn't know about Sativas; I get no food cravings at all. I eat when it's obvious that I'm hungry, which is usually an extreme yelling out of the empty stomach LOL! I enjoy every delicious bite like never before, but I eat only enough to satisfy the need, and I've been prone to carrying food into the room and forgetting it was there.

Here's how I think about it.

Indica high with munchies: "I know we had some peanut butter cookie ice cream .... There it is, ooooo, marshmallow fluff would be soooo good with this. Look, double-stuffed Oreos! How did I miss them yesterday?"

Sativa high with munchies: "Hey, didn't we have some of that instant oatmeal out there? That good stuff that has the nuts and fruit in it. Good protein value there. Oh look, there's that site I've been looking so hard for. What was I saying? Oh yeah, oatmeal. It's out in the kitchen."

Weight is starting to drop off again. Just stepped onto the scales and down to 175. Only 25 more to go. It appears that one of the unexpected side effects of finding the right type of cannabis for me has been to help my system regulate appetite and weight. :cheesygrinsmiley: I'll stick with Sativas and sleep whenever. My schedule is set for sleep whenever. I might as well enjoy that as long as I can.

Waiting For DeStress

I pulled everyone out for a foliar. The baby Bubblegum in the front there didn't get any (still too small) but everyone else got theirs.

Nice looking family.

Veg cabinet ideas...

Just posted this to Sorenna's thread, but I figured it might spur some creativity for you as well. Enjoy!

Here is a photo of my redone veg cabinet. The upper part measures about what your desk cabinet does and I could pack more lights in there, but it's used for cloning so I only have one 32w CFL up there.

And a couple more photos of my stealth speaker which measures about 12" wide x 10" deep x 24" tall.

Gotta love those giddy, day-time sativas. Well done thus far with the weight loss. Just make sure you're giving your body enough of the good stuff... frosted flakes!

May the brix be with you! :Namaste:

I was looking at that and realized that my brother may have speakers, big ones, that could be used. I have a couple interesting ideas running through my head and looking at your repost gave some of that a bigger boost.

Thank you for sharing that.

Drenches

Buddha Taho OG (Day 68) got a deep water only drench. I had some TransWater left so I diluted it down with enough water for the Buddha and soaked from beneath.

image33659.jpg

Paradise DeLahaze ( Day 51) got a Growth Energy drench.

image33655.jpg

Dark Devil Auto got a TransWater drench.

Training The White Widow

Now at Day 40. She's adapted well to being tied down and new flower development is becoming explosive in there.

Eventually you'll get tired of not sleeping and the rapid weight loss will have to end when you hit target. Should be about the time the Afgani is ready.

:;):

To be perfectly honest, you have about as much chance of getting me to try an Indica again as you'd have getting Graytail to switch back. He was right. This is the high that runs SweetSue. Everything about this feeling is right. Everything. So many years wasted because I just didn't know.

Re: Happy 500 Posts!

Just wanted to stop by and post my 500th post! Woohoo! Only 1/19th of the way to SweetSue status. ;)

:woohoo: How honored I am that you chose here to celebrate that milestone. Give it up. You'll never catch up to me. :laughtwo: I have much more spare time to post. I can stay up all night, every night and suffer no consequences. You, my friend, lack that access. I also type really fast. LOL!

What really shocked me today was noticing the total number of hits on this thread. It's at 57,094 right now. I was stunned. I don't really track any of those indicator things. I'm here, you're here, that's all I care about. But the number made me pause at the number of people lurking and the inherent responsibilities I have to them.

:woohoo: :slide: :yahoo:

CARNIVAL IS THIRSTY!!!

Tomorrow morning, bright and early she'll have the nice drink of a TransWater drench and then she's FLIPPED!!!

image33665.jpg

I'm not excited at all.

 :slide: :yahoo:

Not at all excited. :laughtwo:

Busy day tomorrow. Drenches, transplantings, reconfigure lighting and stations. Oooooo...... :slide:

Time for my 5PM brownie dose. :woohoo: Life is sweet guys. :laughtwo:

I find having 7-9 different strains available to be about right, for me. Having a variety of sativas, hybrids and indicas for daily pain relief needs gives me the flexibility of being a little high, high, stoned or drooling on myself when I need. I've never sworn off one or the other. To each their own though :)
