Tape up ok? Last one I did like that I didn't tape well and I should have. The section saved did survive but didn't thrive like the rest of the plant and took forever. That's a cringer!
It taped pretty good. If it ends up getting amputated I have 6 nice tops below it, but I think it will be ok. 🤞

The 1.6gal Gals are doing well.

20230315_173205.jpg

Their big sister is a little stressed, but her tips are turning up, so there is hope.🤞

I set RH back to 60% to slow her down for recovery. She gets 72 hours then its game-on until harvest.

I hope the 1.6gals don't need supercropping, they are already scarce on soil, and I doubt they will make it to harvest, but this is a good test of my soil in a swick environment.

I didn't spike or layer any pots to see how the soil alone performs.

Next grow I can adjust.

If they make it past week 5 without crashing its a win.

The 10gal Gal was just too unruly. She was 47.5" this morning, and still accelerating, so I had to either top her or super-crop her.

I have never super-cropped a plant before, not this big, and only branches. It was an experience.

She Snapped, Crackled and Popped, and once she was bent I then squished every stem between nodes to twist her trunk to bring each node parallel instead of one branch pointing under the trunk at the ground.

5 nodes supercropped in all. Nasty mean stuff. Sorry Baby❤️ I shoulda just amputated, but we shall see.

The end result doesn't look too bad except for the wilting.

But it was ugly before duct taping.
Ouch 😓 poor baby! Hope she’s the forgiving type bro. CL🍀

Me too. It was a god awful noise. Like breaking a chicken drumstick in half slowly lol.

There were 4 channels inside the skin, each like a hard tube. All 4 snapped and crackled.
I’ll bet that the look on your face was unforgettable. I can only imagine after putting in all the love and care that it about killed you to do it. Fingers crossed 🤞 she’s forgiving. CL🍀

The broken necks seem to be on the mend.

The plant doesn't look much more recovered in the pics, but you can see it in her that she is de-stressing.

You can also see the leaf tip that lost a battle with a piece of duct tape🤣

I think by tomorrow she will be fine. I will give her some fish ferts today.

Amputation is so much cleaner.

I had a spot for a 4th plant and now I don't.

I don't think supercropping actually increases your yield on a grams/m2 basis.

Next time she will get beheaded. This is too hard on the plant, you don't want recovery time in flower.

Oh well... now I know.

This is definitely an outdoor strain. Last year I pulled 3 pounds of no-larf colas off a sister seed in my big 2200gal outdoor pot.

The Mutant, on the other hand, is a short squat ball of branches and will likely fill the 5x5 space in flower all on its own.

You were too rough with her.. Must’ve gotten excited and forgot what I said lol.. When I said go slowly and it will take at least a minute I meant a literal minute of slowly working it.. it will feel like you’re not doing anything to it at all up until all of a sudden she just sort of gives, then you can start really working her. You were way too violent and twisty.

Also, most of the nodes don’t need to be SCd if you’re doing the main stem. If you’ve still got stretch time left they will realign themselves. At most you may have to bring one down slightly just to keep it even. This is likely what caused your excessive recovery time. Both of my plants completely realigned and recovered over night.

How far along into flower were they when you SCd? Perhaps this has an impact on your recovery as well.

imagine that.. you being too violent and aggressive.. interesting 🤣
