Welp, starting to lose some lower leaves with an N ask mid week 5 so my top dressing is either not keeping up or not getting converted fast enough. I've also been giving FAA once a week.

Calcium should be OK as I've given dolo water 1-2x per week but I'll do another brix reading soon as the weather has cooled and my ppfd should be getting back to more normal.

Another 10 days and I wouldn't worry about it but it's a bit early for senescence.
How much EWC do they get per week?

I can't stop the fade. Her brix are still good at 17 with good calcium.

She's buried up in EWC and extra unused flower soil to the junction at the 3rd node. The drippers are buried in there somewhere.

Her resin production is really increasing. Calyxes are still stacking under those long hairs. 🥰

Ok, here are the 3:30 am numbers (damn you @Gee64 ! 😡 )

82 air temp
80.1 leaf temp
33% rH
=2.27 ppfd
15 brix with a pretty well defined line

So, calcium  is low which is surprising and may explain the yellowing leaves, leaf temp is good but the low humidity is still leading to too high a ppfd.

I may have to try to find a small humidifier that will fit in the box.

See if it helps with nitro. Is your soil still fluffy on top? no crusting?
Well, I have a mulch layer of compost into which I mix in the weekly top dressing and castings, and which I mist in daily to keep up the activity and I do stir that around daily. I get roots up into that layer so I don't go digging around much to check that.

Hehe your not the 1st person to say that🤣👊

Nice! get some dolo water in there and see where it goes. 15 is a good number🥰

I think you meant VPD not PPFD. A VPD that high will drain the pot of calcium really quickly. Cal is mobile in water and she's transpiring like a maniac right now so she's pulling it all out of the soil
I may have to try to find a small humidifier that will fit in the box.
That would certainly help. One step at a time you are getting there! Speaking of PPFD, any idea what it is at the canopy? ,

It's a moot point, I only asked because it's quicker than a brix test. The refractometer reading is better. Roots up into the mulch is excellent!

Very nice Azi😊. Your persistence is working. Get that RH under control and I think you are well on your way. Then you can start tweaking your recipe and every adjustment will show up in your brix score to guide you. The fun stuff😊

With a VPD that high Ca and Mg will forever haunt you. That doesn't mean your screwed if you can't lower it, but it does mean you need to supply it more regularly. Extra EWC may help here too.

Leaf temp is the biggie, if you get warmer than the air it goes bad quickly. It doesn't take long to run low on CO2.

Did you get a good yard harvest of inputs this year?

I just buried everything in 12" of leaves. I'll rake it off in the spring, run it thru the lawn mower, and return it as a mulch.

Very different! Very savory and nice! Who knows if you get the same pheno or our taste buds are in cal. but nice!

Mmmmm Miss Sticky!
I can't wait to try her. She's starting to look potent inside those flowers. Resin is coming in heavily now. She may live up to her name🥰

Yeah, I'll bet you get that a lot. :laughtwo:

I was quite pleasantly surprised given the yellowing of the leaves.

Yes, VPD. That tidbit is good to know so I can try to catch up.

That would certainly help. One step at a time you are getting there! Speaking of PPFD, any idea what it is at the canopy? ,
It's about 875. I had it at about 1000 but the leaf temps were higher than ambient during the hot weather. I'll probably leave it as is for now and see if I can get the calcium line to fuzz.

I usually start mulching shortly after potting a rooted clone. BTW, I've started misting my cuttings at day 8 with a seaweed KNF foliar. I root in straight perlite and the cuts get pretty ragged looking by weeks 6-8. So far seems to be working pretty well with the cuttings holding their nice green color.

I do feel like I am making progress thanks in large part to your guidance. 👊

Maybe that will be the next thing I tackle. I'm a bit concerned that without automation in wildly fluctuating weather that I could be crossing into bud rot territory, something I don't typically have an issue with.

Did you get a good yard harvest of inputs this year?

I did pretty well. My comfrey plants are growing nicely and after next season i should have well in excess of what I need. Years ago I watched a gardening show "Gardening with Rebecca" or some such and she was a big perennial flower grower. Whenever she moved plants around she'd say "in the first season they sleep, in the second they creep, and by the third season they leap!" Next year is year 3.

Those are in the ground so the famous tap root can do its thing. The Stinging nettle I grow in pots to try to keep them constrained, and this year I added a couple more pots to the mix. The roots are supposed to make a healthy tea so I'm anxious to try some of that as well.

Not yet, will be hybrid or indica leaning cause I don't want to fight the height. Anybody have a recommendation?
Black cherry punch is lovely @Gidorah
I grew it last year and it’s by far the best buds iv had, nice and tight, and lovely fruity smell, And when I was growing it, it smelt like sherbet, I will definitely be growing it again, along with gelato 👍

She’s really flying now mate @Gee64
❤️

I fear I may have pushed the nutes to hard and she may not recover. I've flushed with 2 gallons of RO water delivered slowly to across the top of the soil. The burn slowed but has begun again. I also backed the lights down 10% to 60%. Anything else I can do to help? I was trying to keep the burn out of the buds.

Goes bad fast don’t it @g-one-three
With synthetic nutes you get time to recover, it seems to me, with LOS, it takes the soil some time to adjust, and by then it’s escalated, hopefully your get her through thou mate 🤞🏻🙏🏻
