Well at least we know what your barometric pressure is! Or the time. Or something.
Temperature my man, 73 is the air temperature in the garage. How's it going with your new tent? I haven't skimmed thru at your place in a few days.
Late Spring & Summer temps made me nervous, I used the Galileo Therm til I got the digital and now it just floats around. What you may be talking about is a Storm Glass. I have one of those, too. Not that impressive for me though, it's always sunny here accept for maybe 10 days a year... It works by measuring atmospheric pressure to predict incoming weather. The crystals indicate a change in the pressure
Looks like incoming rain, I love when we get real weather, It's always sunny and blue hairs where I live!
It’s actually very versatile and takes great portraits as well as being decent for landscape as well. Mostly I use it for plant macros and portraits and some insect/spider photography as well.
I have to check back on that thread. I pitched, but I can’t manage to do daily updates so I think that rules me out.
What developments have there been?
On another tangent - do you use physical lens filters very much or at all Age?
I love my Macro, it's becoming my go to lens for the plants, but I like the wide angle lens too, you can get some cool perspectives!
I haven't seen any developments, but I noticed a couple of members have mentioned being gifted lights or have some new products that they're starting grows with. The Law of Parsimony applies itself... Have you seen the movie 'Contact,' with Jodie Foster?
I love tangents, catch me high sometime!
Filters...?
There was a time when I had numerous, now a days I keep my circular polarizer handy. The White Balance options on board are pretty cool, but 3 daylight modes seems excessive, and two of them are just different shades of yellow (cloudy and shady).
I can think of 8 filters off the top of my head, I use the Kelvin adjusted to my photo/ flower tent, like we talked about in Urbs thread, and the Custom WB for the Auto/ Veg tent. I do like that there are two Manual WB features!
When I want something different I just push/ hold a couple buttons and spin the wheel. Using those specialty filters may come at cost.
At one point I was thinking about picking up a florescent filter, there's a few densities available but with the custom WB there's really no need, IMO.
I plan to lol!
I shot this one at the fair on Presidents day. Such a beautiful day, Sunny and low 60's, just how i like it!
The one in the pink dress at 2 o'clock is my 2nd.
