The Emerald City

I have a question about super cropping , the cuttings I would take while in flower. Can I use them as clones and how much do I need to take to through the plant back into veg. PS I will be growing in a greenhouse so no control over lighting

Supercrop and monstercrop are different things. Supercropping is bending the stems, and monstercropping is taking cuttings off a plant in flower. Monstercrop cuttings taken the first two weeks in flower are the easiest to root and don't need to spend much time revegging. After that, everything takes longer!

Revegging (or even rooting) clones would be at least 18/6, so I don't think you will have much luck outside. Stick them in the house under a desk lamp and leave it on 24 hours a day. I use a 23w 6500K CFL for my clones.

I should have said Monster cropping I said it wrong, Sorry. That helps some I was wondering why the cuttings I took from a plant in flower and left it in my greenhouse and they never veged they stayed in flower so now I have a small little plant in flower, I may get a couple buds but not like if I did it right and had control over the light, So I need to do monster cropping in a controlled setting like indoors in a tent where I can control the amount of light, Is that right ?

Doesn't need to be in a tent, just a consistent light source, like a desk lamp. I can fit about 8 solo cups of clones on the heat mat on my desk.

Can I use an regular LED bulb or does it need to be a CFL light bulb ? also would that work for seedlings I have a small grow light that is LED can I use an 18/6 on it, also how far should the light be :surf:

So I should invest in a heat matt ?

While clones are rooting they need less light than regular plants do. So keep the lux down while they're rooting no matter what kind of light you use. You want the plants rooting, not performing photosynthesis.

A heat mat is great if the room gets below 75º F, as warm soil will promote root growth. I did much better after I got the mat and set the thermostat for 80º F with the probe in a cup of soil on the corner of the mat.

That is a Big Help I was wondering why monster cropping didn't work for me now I know and I know what to do next time Thank You. This is why I stay on this site ask a question and with in minutes you have an answerer. :rollit:

Phone pics will do even on a computer. They're good enough that I think you should hit the leaves with castille soap spray so you don't lose them too early. Bite marks are accumulating (unless that's spray residue of something else).

Thanks Shed! I’ll do that when the sun drops. Yes ive been spraying a bit.

PC, Shed’s got all the data, great advice there. I use a heat mat and a cfl til they’re ready for the tent

My daughter has been having anxiety b4 skool. She just started jr high. I asked her if she wantex to go for an early morning ride. Rode past someone else's backyard but it smelled just like mine. So dank and musky.

BTW: Maverick has been eating the lowest leaves and lollipopping the girls.

Gonna be feeding the hempies later. All looking and doing great.

Good morning!!!!

:yahoo:

I'd be happy to help you and share what I've learned. Any questions just ask PC. Sorry I'm not on as much as Shed, but that'll be changing soon, as my garden grows. I can't recommend enough an air intake fan and an exhaust fan of the same or larger size. If you're going to run a carbon filter (cf) then a larger exhaust fan with a smaller intake fan. I get heat issue sometimes and having a fan to push cooler air is great for my set up.

A Garden Update and Photo Dump.

First up is the Peyote Critical MC, from @InTheShed, I also have the original two clones Shed gave me, they're in the ground out back makin flowers! It occurred to me as I'm typing that I've got 8 plants that were all donations from 420 Members @DrDoob & InTheShed. We really are spoiled here on the best gardening forum available @420magazine. I can't believe that's still available... Thanks guys and when the next lunch?

The next two are MonsterCropped Northern Lights. I'm amazed at how well they're doing. I will always clone into vermiculite. The growth has been impressive and definitely the fastest clones to root so far, just AWESOME! :cheesygrinsmiley:

The next few plants are the "Doob-Tastic 5." All donations from Doc, I must say I brought him 5 clones of Northern Light and he gave me 4 different strains. THANX DOC!!!!!! Here they are in no particular order.

Unknown OG - An @DrDoob Original. Mishmash of genetics that will likely get crossed up with something I grow later this indoor season!

The Candida that I was reluctant to grab, but he said he was gonna kill it.... I tell you what tho, she's killin it! So much new growth she's making the others seem like they're under achievers!

And that It's It Punch, She reminds me of the Sour OG (818 Headband). The purple branches and such, that's not CalMag Def, that's strain related.

And finally the two Blueberries; 1.2 & 1.1, See name tags.

Here's another picture of the baby in the nursery, Think Different.

Now onto the outdoors. There are two PC's back here somewhere but the NL is just dwarfing them. It will be a mainstay in my garden and I plan to keep the Candida rolling year round as well. I will always throw in Autos. I'm looking for a nice hybrid to keep as well. I think I have one here in the group but I'll need to research that more. I'm still on the hunt for a Sativa I like. The Ultra Lemon Haze Auto is amazing but it's an auto and I want a plant I can make clones from. I have heard that Autos will reveg, that would be something wouldn't it?

Have a great day!!!!!

Man you are really training those girls Looking Good

Dr Doob sings this as he trains! The plants all look great Age, and things are picking up steam day by day. Does that IIP stink when you run your hand over it? My original plant (clone) didn't but the clones of that sure do.
I asked her if she wanted to go for an early morning ride
Did it help? Endorphins and all... Poor kid, the move to JH can be rough!

FelipeBlu (BTz brother up north) revegged an auto JH here, not necessarily on purpose as I recall:

I haven't seen anyone else try it.

:ciao:Hey Age! Trying to get caught up on everyone's journals - I've been away from my desk for a few days so lots of reading in store for me.

Your nursery is looking great and your outdoor girls are frosting up nicely! :high-five:

All the training in these pics provided by DrDoob. I, however, added the skewer for the TD to lean on in her time of need.

I'll have to check and see if she's the stinkin one or not, I thought it was the Unknown OG. I am picking up the subtle scent of vegging weed when I open the tent, but to me it's always been a fragrance of onion. Everybody playin that semi hollow body and that one guy looks like Freddy or Freddy looked like him...

I've been letting her lead, but it's just a short couple miles ride around our neighborhood, we stop at the school to talk before we head home. We haven't gone for that endorphin release yet. She's fine once school starts but she's an emotional wreck from the parking lot to the gate and then she's ok.

I remember and I read his post on that, Im just happy the outdoor girls revegged with the exception of the BeBo which is still filling in nicely, I'm thinkin' she'll be one nice cola with a few popcorn nugs down low. The waiting is the hardest part...

Sup Beez! My journal doesn't move that fast, ez readin here! Away from the desk is good I hope. I noticed the frost on the leaves and it threw me for a second, wait it's too early for frost!

Everyday, sometime between 11 and 2.

How're those Blueberries smelling? That was the stinkiest plant in veg I had.

:passitleft:

SmawtAzz!!!! When I open the tent the slight onion fragrance wafts out and I'm loving it. The other day when I fed them the Unknown OG smelled the strongest. I guess I'll wait for flowers. I've been thinking about cloning all the plants you gave me and then flowering out the plants after I see roots.

I think I'm gonna be doing some transplants today. The clones in vermiculite get thirsty pretty quick so a larger coco habitat is required.
