yeah man i was plannin on goin to fresno/clovis area to visit some fam this summer i might need to make it around that time and drive the extra couple hours just to go check it out man.

ok as long as all is well and you shouldnt be called a dude lol wont happen again see im still new so i will use that for an excuse i know i dont get many of those but it wont happen again. So the doc says it helps with your blood pressure is that a condition in the state your in cause if so i might look into that for myself.

My girlfriend and I plan on being there. I believe to be a judge though, you do have to be prop. 215 legal. I would argue that a cannabis cup in California might just be better than the Amsterdam one. Think of all the good genetics hidden away in the hills.

The judging, like in Amsterdam, is done on your own accord. In amsterdam, you are given a guide book, and allowed to travel to the different coffee shops. you purchase the weed with your money. You smoke it when/where/how you want.
Then, when it's time for the Cup, you bring your notes from the last few days of "judging" and use the "Rating Card" to vote for favorite strains.
In Amsterdam, they have a VIP testing zone. This is INVITE only. This is what determines the "Cup Winners" for the most part.
If you have never been, GO.
The Medical Cup in S.F. will be somewhat similar. It's the first year, so wait for it to pick up speed. Things start slow.
Local Dispensaries can enter the contest. You can get a guide book, or look online for which dispensaries enter. You can then travel to these dispensaries to sample what they offer. Edibles, hash, or the ganja. You buy it, smoke it, keep notes.
Then, when the cup time starts up, you head down and cast your votes.
There will be some killer seminars, speeches, gatherings, parties, and even places for prop 215 patients to medicate! All kinds of cool stuff.

We've got a really great crew in back, just how great I'm finding out. It's a tough job, knowing when to let things go and when to edit... all I can say is I hope folks will appreciate just how much thought and good will goes into everything to do with our site and membership.
I was asked - they pretty much just watch how you post, and see who has the demeanor required. Keeping an even keel, spreading a good vibe, and handling site violations with care is the main thing for a Mod. No one likes to be called out, so the site violations is really the hardest part.
It's totally volunteer, but you'd never know it from the professionalism of everyone involved.
They do need more volunteers... and the best way to let them know you are interested is just to help out people as much as you can... it gets noticed.

Hope you don't mind Roseman if I take a shot at it...
The best way to sex a plant you don't want to flower is to take a clone and flower it, that way the whole plant does not have to go through the start of flowering and then revert back to veg, which can take over a month before it grows normally again, and even then they tend to put out a lot of single leaves.
I don't think topping will affect things one way or the other.
I am 61 yrs old, got a 20 lb beer belly, and I don't need meds for high blood pressure..............and I bet I never get glacoma either! LOL I wouldn't know it, if I did!

The way I understand it, when we go to 12/12, the plant does not immediately jump into the Flowering Cycle. It takes about two weeks, and first goes into a pre-flowering cycle. So if he topped, he has those two weeks afterwards for new tops to appear and they normally appear in a few days in a rapid hydro grow. So he's cool. He ought to take a cutting or two for a clone, incase it is female.

Roseman, or anyone with some advice. I have a plant about four weeks into flower. I noticed some, what looked like pollen sacks growing about half way down the plant. Since joining this site I have read about hermorphodite plants. I cut the pollen sacks (or what they looked to be) off to avoid pollenation. My calculated harvest date is April 23,. Did I do the right thing or did I panic?

You did the right thing. Cut the sacks and see if and how many grow back. Sometimes it's just a random branch.

Good. I should have chatted first but I thought it was the appropriate action. I will keep a close eye on this plant. I didn't clip this one but had a light accident where it got a little to close (right into it) and damaged the top spear (already into flowering) now I have two small top flowers. The shock may have caused the transexual effect.

Thats pretty cool man i might just have to look into that my grandfather and my father both diabetics and all three of us have high blood pressure mine not so bad wasnt told untill about a year ago. You guys have no idea WHAT THE F**K I have been goin threw with the dmv just to trade my out of state license in i think im bout to smoke a joint before i go in today these dmv ppl are rude and i keep my cool as long as i can i am bout to go to my third different dmv in the county because these smaller ones dont want me comin back any more if you guys could just see you would be pretty frustraded too. Anyways hows everyone doin.
you can always depend on Mostly Crazy's advice as good advice.
