The Deep Water Culture Home

Yeah bad news all around there! My problem here is those little dam spider mite mother buttafucco's, what is the cause! water temps, is in the water contaminated? do you know where their coming from, I guess what I am asking is! what is the source? wherwe are they coming from? I know a hitman if you need one oh wait wrong forum sorry never mind! lol.

I am not sure where mine came from. My show is far from "clean room" clean. From what I gather, that slime I had makes for the perfect enviroment for the bugs. So slime first, then the bugs.

But good news, look to have things in check.

A better picture of the flower room.

It was a great day, and ended with a great win! Thanks RP!

Am I just hearing you and the Doctor are having problems with bugs? I just bought some new stuff yesterday, supposed to kill the eggs too. I got rid of the mites but they came back, I'm thinking because of eggs and not killing them too.

As soon as I gwet home I'll post some of the stuff I've found, but it is natural and contains neem oil and a pyrethrum (sp). This should do the eggs too.

just added the 2 85W cfls that i was using in veg for side lighting, in addition to the 430W agrosun red hps, hope that helps those side branches, i'll probably rotate the light to different sides every day. the foliage at the bottom that dies off or gets crispy (from the Mg def. earlier) is it cool to just take those leaves off? alot of them are dying on the bottom, is this normal? i'm just trying to keep the rez lid as clean as possible, not to mention that they're curling (from tying them down that is), and it's getting quite hard to close the lid to the res. is it normal for the bottom foliage to fall off, or wilt, and die off?

Yes, during flower it is very normal for bottom leaves to yellow up and drop off. The plant is transfering all its energy to the buds at this point. To answer your other question, it is fine to remove the dead leaves at the bottom. The general rule is if it is over 50% dead, remove it!

outstanding, thanks theanswer, here's some pics of how they look now, I just did the last bit of LST yesterday.

What do you guys think? today is the begining of week 2 for flower.

So that's why I'm getting so much grief over in the soil section. I just tried to give someone an option for starting to grow and I get all these negative responses about how "hard" hydro is and its "not for beginners", oh and my favorite so far "so much can go wrong", that quote is from someone who in an earlier post stated they have not grown in hydro yet...

Whatever, we are all in this together:peace:

grownavy1091 your plant looks freaking awesome:goodjob: very full and lush.

Keep up the good work!
