Lets get on topic for the Deep Water Culture home!

Does anyone have a youtube video of there grow if so that would be cool we should all make a new youtube no personal info and if u can make private videos (that's even better) of our grows ill make a few if it catches on.

I dont know SS, look like slime. I just flushed my tank that had the flora nova nutes in the for a month.. just little residue built up on the sides of the tank and a little on the air stones.. I dont know exactly what the cause of it is, but its not good

the ain reason i started growing was tired of payin 60 bucks a week for smoke that wasnt near the quality as dro

whats goin on everybody, sorry for the absence, but I've been tending to "the ladies". 100% female, very, very happy. I'm on day 6 of flower, and man are they shooting up! lol. I'll post some pics just as soon as my battery recharges, I just did another rez change yesterday, and added back the 3-2-1 veg ratio, this will be the last week that I run that, then next Friday when I do my drain and replinish I'll switch them over to the transition nutes (using gh flora series by the way) and run that for 1 wk. then I'll slowly bump them up, sound about right? and could I still do some LST during the 1st week of flower? or should I just let them do their own thing from now on? they look great u guys! and the roots are MASSIVE. it's becoming quite the chore just to do a water change out
 
Hey they changed the Deep Water Culture logo. Cool, I like it. Up to code and no more issues with spongebob. That was really nice of whoever went though the time and effort of changing and redesigning it for us. Thank you 420 you guys rock!

Hey all,

I've been thinking, and without a brain that's a difficult thing to do.

Anyway, when we start a grow with the Deep Water Culture and make our 6 gal line, when we fill the res to that point we have 6 gallons. Well, on, say, day 80, the root mass has displaced a lot of area. Has anyone ever figured how much less than six gal of water go into a res full of root mass? If no one has, I'll figure it out at the end of my grow and let you all know. If someone has already done that, let me know. As we progress in our grow and replacing nutes during the week between drain and replenish days, could we be overfeeding because we have less than 6 gallons? When we think our plants have drank 2 gallons in tha last day, does that in fact get skewed because we are measuring everything based on a base of 6 gallons and with the full root mass we have substantially less than 6?

I knew I shouldn't have smoked the whole damn j. Going to get some sleep now.

You logic and theory sound good, but fact is, we lose a gallon of water daily adn ad back a gallon, no matter what is left in the tank.
 
thanks MC. I've got one more question though. after the 1st wk. of the transition nutes, do I just do a drain and replenish that next friday and jump onto the bloom schedule? I ask this because according to the chart, I'm supposed to cut back on the gro, keep micro the same, and up the bloom, any suggestions?? I'll tie a few more of my bigger branches down tonite when the lights come on as well, they're really getting thick, and that break in the main stem that I had is as good as new all, thanks for the taping suggestion it worked wonders!!
 
I see many Deep Water Culture here hunting newbs to help and advise them, and I see many newbs visiting Deep Water Culture threads, asking for help here. I saw at least 6 new members that just goined recently that are proudly wearing the BH logo this week alone. Because they identify with others here, they will stay here longer. We have doubled the amout of active daily posters here in one month.

You all know I stay on line all day, seldom spending any time with experienced growers, they don't need me or my advise. I actually neglect good friends and having fun just to help newbs. I spend my entire day helping newbies and that is how I got 1900 posts. We invite eveyone here to be a Deep Water Culture, and MC posted an Invite Thread asking members to take the pledge, join and display the logo.
 
Lets just enjoy the weed were all growing and enjoy our newfound friends here . I couldn't be happier I just harvested my first hydro grow ever and have another started I will soon not have to spend up to 100 bucks a wk just to keep myself , shall we say medicated!! I thank you for your work here and apreciate your tutorials that I can go back to whenever I need a question answered.!! On to better weed and better days !! :peace:
