That sounds like the perfect amount of time under cfls, i feel like by that time if the cfl was going to somehow influence the sex it will have happened by then. Im sure a lot of people would roll their eyes at this experiment but I'm genuinely looking forward to results, thanks for taking this experiment on!

I am interested too, even if it really isn't all that scientific. We would need to do multiple runs, etc, but I think it is intriguing enough to follow through on, maybe a reader who stumbles upon the early misery that is my journal will find it useful. :rofl: In the future, if I got a batch of reg seeds, I might try and do this again,,,, 5 under led, 5 under cfl, (only if i had a good stash built up to get me through a male-induced dry spell) lol, and if I had money to throw at a batch of reg seeds (and the inclination of knowing that I may be cooking half of them)... maybe this is the only run we may see of this nature,, :rofl:

thanks, they did perform way better than I imagined. Bel is huge, cant wait to see what she produces
and running incredible bulk through the buckets, gonna have to think about supports lol

Solo is doing way better than i thought, a bit of yellowing, and a few spots showing cal def, so she is growing. I just dont know what to do when she fills that cup with roots. How the hell to keep them moist, so they dont dry out between feedings. Gotta rig up some sort of IV drip. lol

I really need to try that cloning technique. You got roots so fast. You're on to something lol
 
Lights were flipped to 12/12 on 5/1
Now due to issues, either they were too young, or maybe environment (light leak) Sarah did not start throwing hairs until the 15th.
She looks more like a plant 15 days into flower than 30, thats for sure, so I figure this is day 15 or 16 of flower...

She was dry, dont know if too dry and thats why some pistils are browning at the tips, or if the light got a bit close.. but she is looking good, so she got fed.
I added .6ml mammothp to the half gal of mix I just made for Bel, filled it with RO water, and ph'd to 6.8 (I think Imtoasted mentioned the other day to ph to 6.8 in flower to increase P and K uptake, so figured it would be good to go up a bit) so about half strength for Sarah, but that is all she usually gets compared to Bel.
 
Knocked over the solo cup last night, lol, a mess all over the floor of the tent, good thing they are water proof. So, I mixed a batch of nutes and filled the cup back up. Gave the clones just RO water, they were dry, and I noticed roots out the bottom of one, so I guess tonight I up-pot them, maybe send them to flower next week, and pop a seed soon.

Solo.... May have to top her soon

funny thing is,,, I never did that before,, I saw someone on here do it, and thought,, that's a great idea,, no stress to the roots at all. So, the last two I did, that is how I did it. used a solo cup as the mold for the solos getting uppotted into 1 gal. it just makes the perfect hole, and it slides right in. And so far, the ones i have done like this, have shown no signs of stress at all, they just keep on growing.
 
quick update on the solo cup, she is growing fast, I dont know how I am gonna veg her for 4 more weeks...

topped her last night, and filled the cup up the about the 3/4 full level, she drank a lot last night

I am making tick tubes,, got TON of them in my yard, wife just tested positive for lyme, I have pulled 30+ off the dog, (she's vaccinated, plus has the collar and the edible one)

I got some permethrin, and will dilute it, spray some cotton batting, and fill the middle of toilet paper rolls, and toss them around the yard. mics, birds etc should take the cotton to build nests with, and kill off ticks..

Morning Luke,

Didn't really do anything special, except I didn't use the regular seed tray, I put in rockwool and straight into the SWC (Solo Water Culture) :rofl: (With a humidome over it for the first week and a half)

For the water I used 1ml to a gal of the GH grow-bloom-micro, and cal mag. And the air stone, that cup was full enough that the bottom 1/3 of the rockwool was in water the whole time, and still when i fill it now, it gets filed 3/4 way up the cup. Gonna start topping it off to the top pretty soon, it drinks too much. I dont think i will be able to keep it alive for 13 weeks in there,, we will see.
 
OK, so had a food tuck festival on Sat, didn't do much Sat night, then Sunday, well, was lazy. I also brought my dog out to the shelter for a meet-n-greet with a male dog I am thinking of adopting, so my female will have a companion (both fixed) Did some re-arranging, moved Solo to the CFLs, I think the LED was a bit much still, especially on that thermos she was on.

I added a third set of CFLs so now at 150 watts of CFLs, and started LSt, just baby steps, lol. Also, all the pots were dry, so fed the clones, and just watered the CFL's

I had full plans on taking lots of pics during the watering, LST, etc, while I had them out of the tent. Then, next thing I knew, I was zipping the tent up and,,, DoH, no pics.

I got one...

However, lights go on in the flower tent at 7PM, and I need to change Bel's water, and Sarah is probably thirsty herself, so I will try not to space it and get some pics.
 
Look at all the green in there. Time to up my game and grow a few more!

What did your sweet girl think of the possible new addition to the family?
 
My girl (who is a spoiled, pampered princess) got along great with him. He even let the ball go for her a few times, lol. They drank from the same bowl, at the same time. Body language was very good, but the test will be when he comes home, how will she react to daddy giving another dog attention on her home? She goes to doggy day care once a week (and loves it, she goes nuts about 1 mile or so before getting there) so she is good with other dogs,,, outside her home. The plan is to get him on Saturday, my wife will be home all next week during the day to watch over them, hopefully they get along good and even bond..
