The Beauty Of The Changing Seasons

Yeah, so Erma's was pretty cool. Love Janis' better. Much more passion in it.....a LOT of passion.

So, while there I went on a Bee Gee's trip, got too sad ....went back to Janis. This is playing full blast now:

Ball and chain Greatest Hits Janis Joplin - YouTube

....tomorrow never happens. ....It's all the same "f"in day man....

Crystal Gayle was hot but she sang the wrong kind of music - I don't remember if it was country or western. She did it nice.

I'm good with Folk and Country IF they sing with passion. Most of them phone in the musical performance and depend on the lyrics to bail them out. Ick.

Janis can sing whatever she wants and I'll listen, just like Willie.

Today I took 3 hits of AK47, rode a sativa high most of the day (1:30 - 7:30 PM.) And was VERY productive

I am a light weight but this spring and summer might be when I achieve a dream I had as an 18 year old. Retire and smoke lots of marijuana.

Amen!

I've got a good handle on the second part and I'm working on the first.

WILLIE!!!! One day he'll show up at Jazzfest and stop by for a bowl in my back yard. He'll strum some mellow tunes on my back deck as we all sing and chatter. Willie will tell colorful stories as the fires wanes and the revelers dwindle.

Saw Willie a couple times. Best time ever was sitting on a golf course fairway on top of a huge blanket in Schofield Barracks Army post HI. July 4th as the sun set. He was still paying g off the IRS. It must have been a pretty good debt because he played a very long show.
BTW.
Lita Ford, Chrissie Hynde Debbie Harry, The Wilson Sisters. And the aftermentioned Benatar and Jett. Lots and lots of love sent to those ladies back in the day.

I am STILL laughing this morning. And a fine Sunny Sunday morning it is.

Last night I couldn't sleep, so I watched a couple episodes of "What on Earth?" One of them made me laugh right out loud. I think I may have giggled myself to sleep.....

Satellite imagery showed an odd occurrence in Antartica, a large brown shadow on the ice. This had scientists speculating and confused. Speculations included global warming causing the ice to melt and dinosaur bones being revealed on the land beneath the ice...among a couple of other suggestions.
After much investigating they discovered what they were seeing in this brown area.....wait for it.....

Penguin poo!

Apparently the penguin population in that area is so prolific that as they leave their poo skid marks behind, there is so much of it that it can be seen from space.

Yeah....global warming....of a different kind.

Good morning all!

Hey Radogast,

I planted the chive seeds into rock wool about 2 weeks ago, they are just starting to emerge. The Munstead Lavender seeds were put in the rock wool cubes on the 27th and they are already sprouting!
The packaging didn't say to refrigerate the seeds, but I did it anyway. I think I had them in the fridge for three days before planting them in the cubes.

These next pictures were taken in Australia, near the city of Adelaide. I don't know the names of these flowers or trees, maybe somebody from AU can help identify them.
First up are some unusual shapes that reminded of what we used to call "Push Up Pops" ice cream treats. They have vanilla ice cream on top and orange sherbet on the bottom.

This time of year in my area is the time to walk the property to look at infrastructure problems....before the vegetation starts leafing out to obstruct the views....I have some things to address...right here, right now.....as well as have the large animal vet out here for all the animal vaccinations, not to leave out my beloved and awesome barn cat....very expensive time of the year, but my response is always, "cheaper than a college education".....

I saw Willie in a theater in the round with only 24 rows, We were 8 rows back at eye level with the band. Those aging hippies were so cute waving their cannabis leaf handkerchiefs. The guy in the row ahead of us tossed Willie a biker club t-shirt and he tossed back a bandana. Good family entertainment :)

The biggest music venue I ever played was a 12,500 seat indoor/outdoor pavilion where I saw Ann and Nancy Wilson play the next weekend. Sure, I was playing trombone for the circus, and no one gave a damn about a circus trombone except for Elephant Walk, but I still played the same stage :)

Yeah, it's getting close to that time. :cheertwo: The way I measure it in my area is the daffodils start dying back. Then I head out to seek and find.
Looks like a lovely walk there. :)

Our daffodils are close to peak blooming, The very first one to bloom just died off.

Since he can't walk it anymore, maybe I can weasel the secret Morel spots out of the kids 89 year old grandfather. Even the right forest would be nice :)

My want for Willie is really based upon my idea that he really must be an interesting gentleman. I mean, he's gotta have a long list of interesting and crazy tales. I want to share a quiet evening of food, friends, bowls, and words on my back deck with him.
I must admit... I'd push him hard to do Seven Spanish Angels with Tead filling in for RayRay.

The wife is not a star struck person - she doesn't hero worship - but she has a fantasy of sitting on the deck with Willie and Snoop Dog listening to them bullshit as they smoke her under the table. She'd hold her own - for awhile. Plus, she has a way with musicians. Music is in her blood.

I don't have anything blooming as far as flowers here yet. The Lilacs have lots of buds going on, but I think those are leaves. Hoping for blooms this year, it's been a few years...it's time.

I do have some lavender colors in waiting though. My Munstead Lavender and my Chives are coming up.

I received a packet of 400 lavender seeds, so now that I know they come up so quickly I'll be planting more of them in a regular planter tray for transplanting outside when they're ready. The chives will have pretty purple flowers on them.

Hoping to get a picture of some Wood Ducks and Mallards soon. They have been swimming up and down the creek the past week, having fun and splashing around. They fly up and out when I drive over the culvert.
