The 420 Fotographer Collective: Advanced Cannabis Photography

Absolutely love water droplet pictures!
@Cola Monster 's yellow jacket was pretty much unbeatable, but I still loved this photo...I shot it with my wife's Rebel which was focusing weird in the GH...but mainly operator error....I would have loved to have shot this one perfectly....

What lens do ya remember? And what setting on the shooting mode?

I have a T3i but I never use it for macro. just wondering:peace:

I'm using, or used that is, my EFS 18-135mm lens on the "Portrait" setting to get the Blue Darner shot above. Hope that helps in someway!:Namaste:

Here's a shot of a wild yellow dandelion that I took during the broad light of day but turned into a night time portrait with the help of I-Photo and its numerous editing filters.;)

Nice iPhoto manipulation on that wild dandelion @Cola Monster. I can see i’ve Not explored the options in that app enough. I usually just use the light & colour balance in very basic ways.

@kelticBlue that lighthouse shot is lovely :) ... trawling the archives is fun.

Are all those with the same camera and lens you mentioned earlier (thank you)?

If you are speaking of my work that would be a big 10-4 Amy. Different settings for different environments though with some shots being taken using the auto flash on portrait mode and others without and than manipulated in I-Photo.
It's really hard to keep track of all the settings I use to take my photos but try my best to remember in order to help out others although I'm no pro by any means but just a novice at heart.

Thanks again for all the kind feedback!:thanks:

Cool thanks for that. I’m the same with settings - don’t always remember what I’ve done. Kind of half the fun really - it’s a hobby not a job after all. But you’re right it can help others, we’re all coming from differnt levels of exposure to the technical aspects. I’m finding that many of the auto and semi auto functions on my new camera are so good i can happily leave them alone and enjoy the shooting process. SO it’s nice to know others do that to some extent with great success too.

Here’s a recent couple using the new 40mm micro nikkor lens I got for my birthday. It was late at night and dark in the room where the tent is - I just used auto portrait mode, under the QBs

The thing I love photographing most, is plants I think, flowers in particular. Insects a close second, followed by birds. I love that my love of cannabis gives me the opportunity to bring two things I love together. This site is an absolute godsend for both pursuits too :)

Very nice Amy!:thumb: I love the closeup shot of all the fuzzy hairs on the young branches.

A couple more nature shots I snapped today of a bumble bee doing its thing.;) For these shots here I used the speed setting without the flash to get multiple images that I than edited in my I-Photo program to get the best of the best to publish. Enjoy!:peace:

Thanks...I liked this photo better...just no insects on it...they are on their last legs so I figured I'd snap a few....
