THC Bomb & WW/Skunk - CFL Hood/Veg HPS/Flower

i have a couple uniseals and will test when i can afford a few supplies.

There has been an "epidemic" according to local evening newscasts, of bedbugs in the nyc area, and that bastard looks like one of them.
Oh MAN! Don't let it be a bed bug. Those things multiply so fast that I've heard stories of people having to throw couches, beds, & carpet out & then spend $500 plus for these special bed bug exterminators that have popped up out of the blue in NYC within the last few years. They say they're immune to pesticides. They use some type of chemical that freezes them.

And they bite too!

That there is definitely a stink bug. I have them all over my area, and if your not careful, they will find their way inside during the winter and the fall. Never squish them, as their 'stink' (pheromones) attracts hoards of other stink bugs in the area, I usually just pick it up in a paper towel and send it on its way out the window.

Comprende' AG!

I swapped out nutes with 0/1 PPM RO/DI water and am adjusting PH accordingly. I'll sit on this until res gets low and swap out res one last time again with 0/1 PPM RO/DI water and sit with that for a few days. By this time, the media should be well flushed and my old girl have been given enough time to process the nutrients built up within her leafy materials. My decision to start flush a tad early was based off;
(a) the fact that trichome patches I found indicated about 80% or higher of slightly milky to very milky with a very small minority of clear trics,
(b) She drank her last last res so quick that I only had time to top it off with dechlorinated water before she smashed that as well, so no time (with work) to mix up another res, and
(c) 1 hour travel each way to/from work on top of an 11-13 hour shift leaves very little room per day to maneuver.
So I took it all as a sign to start the flush now and hope when it's time to chop that I am in or near the peak "head high" zone of this harvest.

Last night, my roomies smoked a little bit of the sample I stole 4 days prior and said they got wrecked and laughed their a$$es off and that was at about 65%milky trics. This is a pretty exciting time and I'm trying to restrain that feeling so as not to miss out on any lessons I need to learn. AG, my room mates discovered a see in the grinder, well the shell of a seed. I am feeling better now that you shared that your harvest produced "a" seed. By chance, do you know if those lone seeds are femenised, or is it/they not viable at all?

I'm shooting for Tuesday/Wednesday or possibly longer. I've been taking samples here and there, but took the last one last night so as not to stray too far out of a final weight. Fingers crossed.

First day of 10th Flowering week, she's been in the light 113 days,

I had her in flush for about 3 days and just now finally swapped out the RODI water with a fresh 5 gallons. I just recirculated for 15 minutes and will check readings before the end of this post. My decision to cut her down is partly based on my living situation and whatnot. It sucks to be subjected to other influences right now, but until my state gets MMJ, I must appeal to my paranoia. I am however confident that her tric development will be very near what I am looking for in terms of buzz quality. I have self diagnosed anxiety issues and have found a good day time sativa to get me right where I wanna be and still be able to function. Despite Sativas being an uplifting head buzz, I also wanted to further that by harvesting a predominantly milky trichomed plant which is what her trics look like now. I would be greatly happy to spot a few ambers, but will cut regardless. Her pistils appear pretty well developed. Foxtailing looks to have stopped about a week ago and only the upper tips of each bud has the lighter pistils, most of the lowers have turned red or are browning. I will be washing my harvest in accordance with DOC Bud's recipe. There are more pros than cons and the amount of cigs I've smoked in relatively close proximity to my grow, I'd really rather taste her at her absolute best then to have cigarette laced overtones, yuck! I will try to do a video update on that whole process for educational purposes as I noticed YouTube does not have a bud washing video and thought it should. Here's some pics;

The sample is after 24 hours of drying.

Just been looking at your pics again skybound and comparing them to what mine look like.

In my opinion if you could wait at least another week you will reap the rewards, mine looks slightly ahead of yours judging by the condition of the pistils. And I have noticed that when they wither the cylax swell up nuff!
I know your worried and rightly so, but if you crop early you have the risk of not getting the full effects of the bud, and the product will wear off quicker when smoked and obviously you will have less dry grams. If you've got this far with no out side problems you should wait the last few weeks. And it would be sad to see all your hard work and dedication going to waste bro.

I know this was not for me to say, just couldn't not.

:Namaste:

I do greatly appreciate this kind of input VVD as it helps me keep my feelings on this matter in check and has to date kept me from making bad mistakes with my grow so thank you for that. I just inspected the trics again and there is milky everywhere with the slightest appearance of clear. Still no amber trics, but I was told trics aint everything, also have to look at pistils and there are plenty that have withered. I am well into the 2nd stage of my flush and PPM is down to about 80-100 and I could keep her there for just a few more days, and actually I think Wednesday would really be pushing it.

Like all things in my life, this grow in this room of this building has been a very delicate balancing act that I want to be over. This location is absolutely terrible for a grower. I seriously need to close this grow down and look into finding somewhere else to grow. I don't want to begin explaining all the things that influence some of my decisions, but I've known for the length of this and last grow that the level of risk is high and I'm metaphorically losing too much hair. So yeah, I have to shut it down and apply myself to finding somewhere else. Growing should be fun and somewhat relaxing. Every day I wonder who was entrusted with my secret and do they need to get out of a speeding ticket or something like that. Too many potential liabilities and those kinds of thoughts really cripple my ability to remain positive in a negative environment.

So not to disagree with any of you, I am however unfortunate it is, influenced by other indicators than just plant language for this harvest. I have a few different options for possible other locations, so hopefully at least one pans out and I can get another journal up and running soon. If not, I'll continue trolling the journals till something arises.

I was told via PM from a trusted user of this grow style. To respect privacy, I will allow her/him to elaborate.

I understand that there are other cannabanoids within the leaf material itself, with similar properties of 'euphoria'...but my understanding is that our Tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the most popular psychoactive cannabinoid that we all aim for, is most readily found in the trichomes of a cannabis plant.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I am just trying to wrap my head around having a more defining harvest indicator that with your trichomes?

At this point, I'm more or less looking for some positive indicators that she's ready to make me feel good, but my situation is having the most influence on the when.

After looking up the description of White Skunk, I noticed it's an 8 week finisher. My ww/Sk will be in the middle of her tenth week, her trics are almost all milky, and though I spot no amber, doesn't mean they don't exist, I just have small clusters of trics to analyze with this phenotype. Her pistils, despite what the pictures show, are well over half of them withered red/brown. She could definitely go for 2 more weeks to get the rest of everything into optimal, but that means 2 more weeks of odor, potential for me to find out how many others know about my spot and forfeiting needed sleep in between very long work days. I just took a good whack off one of the premie buds and am up there pretty good. I expect the final product having max exposure to the light, being washed and more thoroughly dried then cured will produce an even higher lift which is already very adequate for a regular free seed.

that description doesn't sound like our plant thou.

"This is a combination of White Widow and Super Skunk which gives this short plant a huge yield. The female plants produce fat pungent buds. White skunk is a cannabis variety which is good for a stoned feeling"

That sounds like a indica dominant plant to me.

Hi, I'm Michael :ciao: The buzz is a little improperly described, but the way she's growing, that's her all day IMO. Plus this is the info the distributor provided me. So what about this grow makes people feel that she requires 2 additional weeks past late flush?
