THC Bomb & WW/Skunk - CFL Hood/Veg HPS/Flower

please do not interpret my posts to mean that I don't respect what you and others are telling me, because I really do. I was just trying my best to explain what I see that my cheesy camera is clearly not depicting. AG and yourself both stated that you each feel I can/should take her for another week or longer. I just wanted to know what you guys were seeing and I wasn't. Believe me, I never try to slap the hand that feeds so to speak but almost always miscommunicate my thoughts, especially when tired and baked. I will work on my communication skills more,.

>>>Don't worry I don't think that at all skybound. If I thought I wouldn't take the time to post on your thread.

I was just trying my best to explain what I see that my cheesy camera is clearly not depicting.

>>>I have a simple camera that doesn't show up what I can see with my eye too

AG and yourself both stated that you each feel I can/should take her for another week or longer. I just wanted to know what you guys were seeing and I wasn't. Believe me, I never try to slap the hand that feeds so to speak but almost always miscommunicate my thoughts, especially when tired and baked. I will work on my communication skills more,.

>>>Ok I'll explain what I'm thinking with my novice growing brain

1. IMO your plant is sativa Dom, it has all the characteristics of this, like a few people on here and myself who are growing this.
You even state that your plant is a sativa when you are talking about the buzz.

2. I know what your saying about your camera not picking up the withered pistils, as mine is the same unless its close.
But I know that the camrera still shows the fresh light coloured pistils when they are apparent.
Can you take a close up of a cola?

3. The cylaxs have not had chance to swell up yet, and will do when the pistils start withering.

4. You have not had that many fan leaves turn yellow on you indicating that the plant is using up all its nitrogen, this improves the taste of the green by getting rid of it and sheading the unused leaf. Which indicates you plant is nearly ready.

5. On my wwXs#1 which is on week 12 flower the trics are not even fully cloudy yeat.

6. On that bud you have the photo off that been drying for 24 hours, you can see that it's not ready. White fresh pistols all over. It hasn't even finished drying out and you can see light through it. This should not be happening with you as you use full nutrients and a proper light. Indicating again that she is not ready.

7. Look at previous entry's for nug of the month and look at the amount of un withered pistols on them, you will not find many.

8. Don't worry that you have flushed you plant will still have a lot on nutrients in store to carry it through till the end, if you wanted to wait another week or so.

Can you not explain your reasoning for saying tric development is not everything and if so what is the indicator?
I could not understand why you passing on information would invade any one's privacy, you wouldn't have to mention a name. Plus everyone on here loves to pass on information that they have learnt, it's what we are all here for.

Also just cus I'm interested.
how many people have you told about your grow?
Are you worried about your friends telling the Feds or people who live near you?
If your worried about people finding out/getting caught, how come you openly put on here that your from somewhere where it's is illegal for you to grow and are not fussed about having you name on this 'open source' website? And putting your hands on camera with with identifiable marks on them?
And if its hot where you grow now, how come you haven't got any Oder control?

I misinterpreted what was told to me privately after later reviewing. I apologize to everyone that interpreted that segment as a growing fact rather than a mistaken rumor. I am not concerned at all about the use of a first name especially one so common. The remainder of the questions I will leave to imagination.

Once again VVD, I am sorry I doubted you.

High skybound. Long time. I am curious how your bud washing turns out for you but wanted to mention you might change the look or maybe smell but i dont think the wash will change the effect. If it does make sure to let me know. So your shutting down or just the journal? I hope if any its the later.
Pm me when u get a chance

I'm just gonna wrap this grow up and try to keep my head right till this job finalizes in a few short weeks. By then I should have a plan for what I can do and where. I still have a few options to investigate, one of which may prove to be a really good one, so we'll see. Till that time I'll just keep trolling journals and try to stay active in the community as best I can till I can get me another bean or more growing.

Very long hours at work are keeping me from prepping to harvest and wash so I have to go a little longer. For the interim period, I have done a little research and I gotta tell ya, have not found much about how much more time would be needed to allow fox tails to mature. Also, being so late into flush, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep her under the light. Does anyone have any specific knowledge of how much additional time would be needed for fox tailed pistils to mature, and can a flush be extended for a longer period? I'm not really looking at switching back to nutes as I believe that would be too stressful.

Any feedback?

Not looking to move. I'm confident this coming election will be very good for this state.

>>>Does anyone have any specific knowledge of how much additional time would be needed for fox tailed pistils to mature, and can a flush be extended for a longer period?

That is very strain dependent Sky. When I did my initial harvest after 6 days of flush, I went back to a light feed of flower nutes at 750 PPM.

The plant still grew and those popcorn buds all matured.

I'm also sure you won't be hurting the plant if you allow it to go up to another week more post flush, it's when your sugar leaves start to yellow out is when you want to start being concerned.

Check your email.

2nd to final update

I harvested on 2/6/13 in the wee hours. I had to forfeit about 4 of the 6 hours I had to sleep just to get it done. I know she is a bit premature, but I simply had to shut this grow down b/c this job I have involves too many hours and managing my grow just became too much for me.

I also washed all of my harvest save for a tiny little branch that I can use to compare washed v. unwashed. I plucked all the fans off the buds then processed each through the 4 buckets I used for the wash.

Bucket #1 - 5 Gallons RO water (roughly 4.5 gal) and 400ml of 29% H2O2 added
Bucket #2 - 5 Gallons RO water with 1 cup baking soda and 1 cup lemon juice (concentrate)
Bucket #3 - 5 Gallons RO water with fish tank heater to get water to 78º F (warm water rinse)
Bucket #4 - 5 Gallons RO water room temp rinse

I then allowed them to hang for at least 12-24 hours to drip dry and have began to trim the bud leaves. Being that there's so much, I was only able to get the 2 largest cols done and will have to sub the rest of the work out to a room mate that has the time to spare. I plan to room dry for a couple days then cycle them through the only paper bag I have, or possibly a larger box to slow down the drying. I'm very new at this so if anyone has a good slow dry method, please share and I will try to graft that in with current materials or I'll get whatever is needed to get it done right.

The pics include some from her 2nd to last night of her in the closet with a lot of yellowing, then the following day when I chopped and washed. Also, after I pulled the root ball, I was able to see those blast white roots and how the air pot kept roots from continuing the search outward and allowed them to back build in the medium. Thanks Capn for teaching me your grow style, it is almost fool proof and I know this being a fool and all!

K, got to get ready for another long day. I just wanted to get these pics up and I can make added comments throughout the day at work. Thank you all for helping me along and apologies to those that have offered great advice, but I still did not follow. Live and learn I guess.

Also, apologies for randomized order of photos.

Thanks mang! I'm of course hoping those fox tails don't hurt the quality too much, but I enjoyed the experience and learning regardless.

mang/me ng is a slang way of saying man, I think it's like a Hispanic american mispronunciation or something, but it sounds cool.

aren't the fox tails all the new white pistil growth? like when you and AG were urging me to keep her going for another week to allow the psitils to mature, I interpreted that younger growth to be fox tailing. I don't have any other pictures outside what I already shared.

not bad, definitely potential for more trics to develop, but a time extender surely. I definitely have more research to do b/c I honestly never considered what has to happen for the pistils and was mostly focused on the trichrome colors in relation to how far into 12/12 she was. stay green bro.
