Testing The ViparSpectra XS1000 With VetSmoke85

@Rexer That was a great call. The WW is looking like a normal seedling today. Now I've got to figure out what to do with those extra seeds I've germinated. I hate wasting them. 2 litre pots maybe and squeeze them in the corner. Trim them down to a single cola perhaps.
 
Hey Vet, when you're trim a plant down, whether to a single cola or top to a given number of colas, do you find that the remaining ones grow bigger/fatter or do they just appear that way because the weaker growth is removed?

I ask, because the last couple of grows I have intended to prune off weaker growth to boost the stronger growing stems, but each time when it comes to it, I chicken out and feel quite reluctant to remove anything. I am curious whether I'd get more yield growing out everything or only growing out stronger growth?

Good question mate. I don't know for sure but my gut says fewer gives thicker denser buds. When I did clones in 2ltr pots I kept side branching to a minimum and got some great buds. When I've trained to get lots of tops they don't seem to have been as dense.
 
I subscribe to the peach-tree thinning principal, which is that if you let every flower turn into a peach, you end up with a slew of tiny inedible peaches. That's why you thin peach flowers to one every 8" and end up with big juicy fruits!

Makes sense to me.
 
Finally got around to attempting to make some infused coconut oil tonight. 28g of old Blueberry, Kalashnikov and whatever else was thrown in there with 1 cup of coconut oil. Decarbed in the oven in a mason jar. Kept the smell contained nicely until I opened the jar and a stank bomb erupted in the kitchen. :laugh:

Edit: 2nd time but first using the magical butter machine.

Won't be trying it just yet. Probably make some gummies with it. Although it's probably sensible to test the oil before messing about with all that.
 
4 up, 2 to go. Those with a sharp eye should be able to make out the Tangerine Dream emerging in the top right pot. I did a quick lux check and it's averaging 20K at soil level. Bit high for seedlings but they don't seem to mind.

Coming up to a week above ground for the Pineapple Gum. I think. She's growing but I swear those tiny little leaves of the next node haven't changed in about 3 days. Weird.

White Widow in the 2ltr pot has popped up too. Let's see how an auto acts in these pots. I liked how the clones did in them.
 
Might not be a next node in that mutant. If there was one I know some folks here would say "top it!"
