Looking awesome. That CSS is dwarfing my Stacked Kush, though you've got several days on me I'm doing heavy LST and defol, in lieu of a screen. but you got me thinking!
My LED has UV and Infra-Red spectrum lights on it, a small percentage of the 80 lights, but they're there... weird because when I take a photo, you can't tell their on (although ALED swears they are on and super powerful).

Yeah I was over at your journal yesterday I believe, they're looking great! Careful on the defol, unless you mean lollipoping.. I believe I made a huge mistake on my WW's when I trimmed to much of the fan leaves... I'm not taking anything that's above the screen at all. I don't think you can see IR on a regular cameras?? 40 colas????? maybe 100

Flowering day 11...
Still stretching pretty good about 2-3" a day, I figure I have another 5-8 days before it even starts to slow down
PPM has been climbing but pH stays right where I set it... I lowered the nutes down to 900 tonight down from 1200-1300 to see if it's just not liking it that high.. We'll see tomorrow.

Two weeks:

love the scrog, takes a little to get used to. but I'am happy you got me intrested in doing it
Yeah it's pretty fun, I love training it around the screen! Glad I talked you into it you won't be disappointment. Try not to remove any leaves or anything above the screen.. Every few days when your training below the screen you can pull some of that stuff out. By the time it has finished stretching you'll want everything below the screen stripped only leaving the buds above the screen.. But still don't remove leaves up above, I made that mistake on my SCROG. Can't wait to see pics of yours Friday??

It's called lollipop'ing and it's just what you do on a SCROG (well at least most people).. You want to get rid of all the small useless junk (popcorn bud) and leaves below the screen. Let the plant focus on everything above the screen that is going to get light. You also want good airflow below the screen so you don't end up with high humidity down there and mold. And in my opinion anything and everything above the screen should stay, so not defoliating above..
I dig the lollipopen thing but there are alot of feeders blocking my screen. there is no place to tuck them to let the tops grow that are just under the screen

Yeah, I did some super defoliating this time around. We'll see how it turns out. It thing you're right though, once it starts flowering, the stuff under the screen is more trouble than good. I think more light helped it in veg, but then again, your plant looks bigger
Sorry haven't been around, but have had tons of work, which is good, and tons of play, which is also good, so just catching up...100 Kolas! This I gotta see!

I hear what you are saying... I was able to just tuck everything out of the way and it grew up to the screen... Be rough with them, really bend them (couldn't be worse then removing them completely?). I just don't want to see pics of yours and you don't have ANY fan leaves top be seen (I did that last time).

Yeah I'm just not into defoliating unless it's below the screen or lollipop'ing... Size of a plant is hard to go by because all strains grow differently and react differently to different training methods. Not to mention mines in a 5 gallon DWC and my conditions are perfect + MH from day 3... Glad you've been having fun and plenty of work

So last night was two weeks of flowering for the CSS... I got some pics, it's just starting to put out buds on each of the tops... Like I said above I counted somewhere around 85-90 tops the other night and I know I missed some.. Not really sure if they will turn into nice 8-12" buds but we shall see She's drinking 1.5 gallons a day and the stretching seems to be slowing down but I'm keeping a close eye on it to see if I shall continue training or just let her grow up now. I want it to stop stretching with 8-12" above the screen.. Phresh filter seems to be working well..
