So a friend said that the yellowing only on the middle of the screen is from the intensity of the light in the middle + higher heat in the middle + lower RH there, and the plant is having a harder time with the PPM around 1000 just in that area.. So I raised my light up, it's about 9" above now instead of 7". Makes sense though and I talked to three other people with the same thing happening. I thought it had to do with the light or else the whole plant would be effected. But with the greater intensity, etc that could explain it.

Thanks DP and yes I agree it will be way better then my last, well it already is.. By sq/ft this SCROG is 3 times bigger then both the White Widows combined.

I am running a 400w with my air cooled hood Thanks, and that's why I've lifted it up some.. I don't quite think it's bleaching though or I wouldn't be getting the burnt tips??

What height would you recommend for a 400w MH that im trying to stretch my plant without depriving her of enough lumens.. When she gets more vert height, i can trim out some fans that are over crowded, but im letting her do her own thing for few days and see what she does.. My current light is 30cm from tops of my girl..

I wouldn't move them any further.. But we'll see what he says.. The thing is, is that yes you want them to stretch but you need to keep the nodes tight or your just going to end up with gaps in between all your buds..

Yeah theyre ok where they are, i realise i lose light the further away they are i just dont want her to stay short n compact, or have any burning/bleaching.. I think i did have my 400w about 20 cm away last grow, but that was when she was 3 ft and wide.. Im getting about 9,000 lumens, which is alot less than i think she could have safely, i may lower it for a day or so and see what temps, RH etc; i think around 10 inches at 16,000 lumens be better?? HMMMM?? I have mylar sheets i cut outhanging down 2 sides of my reflector to send light back to the middle.. GENIUS OR NOT!! But yeah i want her to be healthy and grow as big as id like, so fingers crossed all goes well.. THANKS teSmp.. Youre a champ!! SMOKEMUP..

30cm is max to keep them from stretching too much. However any closer than 25cm and you risk burning the center plants of your grow space. So there's a very fine line between controlling stretch and burning tops with a 400w.

Critical Sensi Star - Flowering - Day 35

So tonight is day 35 of flowering... Everything's looking pretty good still... Took a few close up shots for tonight and I'll hold off taking far back shots for 4-5 days from now.. I took one pic without the white balance and you can actually see the trichs a little better, the rest are white balanced..

I also put my hand next to a typical length of a bud around 6".. there are longer ones and there are shorter ones.. But on average I would say about this.. Hoping they quadruple in girth though :/ Really long trichs on her..

Correct, just a little on the tips and some of the leaves in the center of the screen.. Like I was saying the other day the center of the screen has got some burn because of the higher intensity of the light there.. The outside of the SCROG is still green.

Yeah this is only a 50-55 day strain so I'm not going to have any problem letting it go 60-65 days if need be I've heard sensi knocks you the fuck out without letting the trichs go amber so I'm not sure how much I want them to go lol! I wish I had some money I would buy some different nutes and additives, but I don't!

Thought id have a bit of a Q+A sesh about the height of lighting... I have mine now at 33cm from base of globe to top of her canopy. No burn or bleach issues yet? Im trying to get some stretch while giving enough light.
My chart for MH 'Optimal distances from plants' says that a 400w MH at 8 inches puts out 25,700 Lumens p/sq ft or sumfin - and at 12 inches has 11,400 lumens, so im givin her about 10,000 lumens at her current height, which according to my graph is in the 'Optimal growth area'.. I have no probs with temps,2 desk fans do the trick for now.
I was going to raise the light a bit more but i dont want to waste too much light either, so im trying to find a happy medium where i get some stretching while giving adequate light for the lowest branches..
I have a 600w HPS for flower so hope the buds will be denser than last harvest So if i raise my lMH higher, say 45 cm from tops, would this create long stretched shoots coming off the branches? And my fresh growth is a lighter shade of green, but as it gets bigger its turing darker green, thats fine yeah?? There doesnt appear to be any major nute burn probs, i can see some slight tinges of brown on leaves here and there but nothin bad or spreading.. My nute solution im using is called NITROSOL, it has 10N,8P,7K, ruffly, her last feed i gave her 3/4 strength, should she be fine for full strength feed of this dosage, it not that high like some nutes ive seen;20/20/20?

was up t? lovin the pics my css is starting to fill in now but most of the buds are about 3to4". they are getting frosty and smell sweet!
went to the store and bought a box of fruity pebbles dont smell like those and I'am glad because those are nastyLOL. but my dogs like them If you could the next time you disscribe a smell of your lady, could you say it smells like captn crunch? I like those maybe with crunch berries LOL.
I am going to update photos today of mine after my photographer gets out of bed. they will be week 4 flower and scrog.
anyway thank you for your help in my garden and keep it green

Odd, I've heard from several people that it is... Even someone who has smoked just about everything lol.. Maybe it was the pheno you smoked or it wasn't grown to its full potential. Or it's weak who knows! We shall see

I can't really give you an honest answer here because I don't like stretching my plants by raising the light.. I don't like stretching them at all I rather it just be fast growth. If you pull the light back your going to get big gaps between the nodes. I would put the lamp at like 10" if you were going to follow the chart.. That would put you right in the middle of the optimal range..

And yeah the new growth will be lighter green in the center and get to the more lush green as you move outwards.. Never heard of your nutes but yeah should be able to handle the nutes.. The problem with saying "75%" isn't a lot or you should be giving "100%" is a pretty difficult thing to say without a PPM meter, many companies nute schedules run to hot IMO.

Sweet man I'll be over to see if you got your pics up And yeah I guess it does smell more like crunch berries lol, I haven't smelled either in 5 years or so, just smelled the crunch berries in the cupboard. Glad I could help, hopefully your happy with your decisions, didn't mean to put pressure on you to do something you didn't want to.

Thanks DP, they really care covered wish you guys could see in real life because there is way more.. I have my 400 at 22cm (9"). It's not yellowing any more in the center, I had it at 6"... I'm doubting it was bleaching.. I went 1.5 months with the leaves perfect, not a single yellow leaf. 30 days into flowering of a 50 day strain and it started yellowing, I don't think that's really an oddity?? I have a 8" oscillating fan over my canopy.
