sounds like their all gone then mate, could i be a pain and pick your brain, well i have got a tanning type light thing, its about a foot tall and a foot wide and has for light tubes in it, its sort of a home tanning thing, it gives off that uv light that makes anything white glow, are these any good for plants or not,

Yup, I hope they're gone. Still haven't seen any. If some eggs hatch I'll have some in the next few days but hopefully they just jump on the fly paper. Mmm I have no idea on those types of lights, I know some people use reptile UVB bulbs. I never have.

Wow they look like they are lined in Gold!! Kick ass ! On another note......Have you decided how u r gonna handle the pest situation? Lady bugs seems to be the "natural" approach. My good friend/Grower says preventative maintenance is the key to success. He recommended to spray diluted azamax solution around the gardening area. I am waiting on mine in the mail, i don't want the same problem. With the weather warming up, it could get all sorts of critters ( giant headache)if i don't start treating soon. BTW I upped some new pics of the ladies, please stop by n critique, everyone is invited!

Haha yah they are looking pretty nice I do want to put some lady bugs in there just to have, they will eat most bugs that could happen to slip in there. I to am going to order some azamax but not until after these WW finish and then I'll spray some. It's only 3 weeks till harvest so I'm not messing with any chemicals right now. I'll be over.

K everyone, here is the hood all set up. I will move the two buckets with the WW's on top to each side of the tent (left and right) and put the DWC bucket in between them (yes it fits lol). and then place the 2 lollipops in front of all the buckets.

Where do you get a light like that i dont have any stores around here that have that stuff.

Your in Canada right? There should be plenty of hydro stores up there I would think. Anyways I got the HPS/MH light on eBay and I got the hood on amazon

nice pictures mate, im going to order my scope when i get a bit closer to the time, cant believe how much you can actually see, so the trics you are showing their are not cloudy, not even the ones at the top of the pic in the bottom one of the 2 pics

I think it's holding the bud and scope in one hand and trying to hold me cell and take the pic with my other hand so it's not very clear. Through the scope they all pretty much look clear. Also since some of the trichs are further away from the scope it makes them out of focus and appear cloudy.

fair enough mate, its all new to me, ill learn more when i get to that stage, well done with the juggling act with the fone and the scope, its something ive never seen before, growing years ago we used to go on the colour of the orange hairs, seems irs got more precise and i suppose a more accurate way of knowing for sure when its ready

Yeah I did that on my first grow four years ago but it's really not a good way I don't think. As you can see in the pics of my bud on the previous page almost all of the hairs are red. And that bud was pulled nearly 30 days from harvest.

teSmp i am attempting a 2L DWC Hempy as well with a bag seed that i started in a jiffy pod.

I too wrap my 2L bottles in Aluminum Tape. Dont be fooled that tape blocks 100% of light and you are correct it DOES keep the res. cooler. I wrap anything that holds water in it, is very effective for blocking light and heat.

PS - the trichromes on the White Widow look good getting cloudy! how much longer you going to wait before you harvest?

it is true mate, you clearly cant just go on the colors of the hairs, years ago thats how it was done, but it seems the thc content is more when the trics are turning milky, i mean is it when most are milky its more potent or is it just when their turning milky, it would be a tough call and i suppose every strain would mature at different rates, from what i have read you need to harvest when most trics are milky,

Right on, can't wait to see how they work out. It will be my first time doing soil less and the same day I'm starting one in a DWC bucket. Both WW's. And sweet thanks for reassuring my though process on the aluminum tape lol. Under the scope most of the thricomes actually look clear and glassy right now. I think in the pic they look a little cloudy and some what out of focus. I think it will be another 15-20 days till I harvest. What about you?

No I believe you want them to all be milky and roughly 30% of them turning amber. I could be completely wrong but I think that is what I've read several times.

No I believe you want them to all be milky and roughly 30% of them turning amber. I could be completely wrong but I think that is what I've read several times.

Yep you're pretty much right on. Anywhere around that area is the peak time to harvest.

Leaning on the early side is 15-20% amber for a clearer head high

Harvesting later will give you a sleepier couch-lock stone

I like to harvest in the 40-60% amber range

Sweet thanks for the info. I would kind of like to have a little of both lol. But I'm going to lean towards the 40-60% range because it's mostly used for insomnia.

No problem, sounds like a good plan. I'm not too sure on the exact genetics of your white widow since it's a clone and I'm unsure of the breeder but If you're using the meds for insomnia I would try getting some heavy Indicas. Most of the breeders WW's seems to be Indica Dominant but some are Sativa Dom. I like as close to pure indica as I can get for night time smoke, really helps me close my eyes.

Yeah this WW seems definitely more indica than sativa. We have some purple urkle and grape ape right now for sleeping and it works really well. Tried the WW last night and it put me out as well.
