My last little SPOG was a killer. Only harvested a few grams, but it knocked me TF out... and it was a sativa dominant strain. LoL

Yeah, I'm bouncing back & forth on buying a bad-ass QB setup to fit the room exact, or putting in 2- 1k HPS fixtures. Now that the room is set up, I'm confident temperature won't be an issue. I'm running the a/c on low and it stays 72° with triple digits outside. Haven't decided yet, but it's coming.

I run 2 - 1k hps lights and I can tell you they create some heat. But IMHO they produce the best for the up front investment. I'm getting ready to upgrade my fan that pushes air thru my hoods from 6" to 8" with hopes my a.c. will run less. It doesn't run all the time now, just trying to get more efficient. Plus I have plans for the 6" fan ( carbon filter )

That is a tough call. I love my cobs, but don't have a dedicated room. If I was comfy enough with the electrical cost, HPS and CO2 that room (while your not there). Longterm, I would think QB/cobs would be a LOT cheaper than HPS bulbs. But you might want the heat from HPS in the winter.
Or buy one of each. See what you like.

Have to say the Initial setup on customized led is a pain especially if you have no idea what your looking at, but I couldn't deal with the heat from hps.
Fill it with QB's you'll thank me later.

I just wanna shout out to the 420 fam.... I got fired up over some dumb shit earlier and within minutes got a message from someone in this amazing community to bring me back to earth. At the end of it all, I'm smiling ear to ear. I'm glad to have friends like y'all.

QBI’m new but for cost
Preston we all have shitty days, sometimes you just have to step back and laugh.
Dude I’ve spent over $5k I’m manufactured lights, and each of them have upgraded like a month or two after I purchased. So screw them. DIY same space...$1100. Also latest technology. No old tech in new shed!!

Yeah, if the initial scratch your cool with, then it's a smart outlay that will be less headache over the long term. Use dimmers.
After shitty day, go to shed, fire one up, play some ska. done with it.
