Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Your Pineapple Chunk looks pretty good to me. It occurs to me that it's a slow growing plant. Looking back on things I don't remember it ever shooting up very vigorously.
I've got two in veg right now, and space available in flowering for them too- but they're just crawling along- healthy but too small still.
When it gets halfway through flowering it sags and lays down on its screen in a sticky mess. I've never once grown one outside of a scrog- curious to see what it looks like.
The garden's looking great. Revving up for 'winter' I guess you call it.
I would die.

This little seed has been giving me grief. I had to take it out and move it so the tap root was heading down. It was put in on 9/8 and is surely taking it's time but is finally poking thru.

No time for banter. Had another Afgaan Reg seed start it's taproot going up. Caught it earlier and turned it around.

Humidity has totally dropped. Skin's feeling dry and itchy even. I'll have to switch my cloning process to the low humidity methods.

The veg tent as a whole. Things are generally looking real good. The cooler temps have allowed me to put some more wattage into the lighting arena.

My problem seed... I think it's toast.

The Osmo test... still alive and growing slowly.

Critical+2.0 looking very nice. Some leaf margin curling from heat.

So... I'm not gonna call it the end of summer yet, but the growing conditions have improved significantly. More lumens laid into the veg room. I think I can drop some side light in the flower room too. Gonna wait for my return from Boston to add lights so I can monitor the heat tightly.

And now for something completely different.
I live in a shotgun double (duplex for those of you that don't eat crawfish regularly) and rent out the other side. My current neighbors are imports from Casper WY. Apparently running from a crashing oil economy in Casper. Why they chose to run to another economy suffering from oil industry exodus is kinda beyond me, but folks often fall in love for various reasons and decide to give it a run. That's how I landed here many moons ago after all.... Tango dancers down on Frenchmen st. at the Cafe Brazil... they'd spin and twist every weekend tossing young ladies into the air... Freddy Omar playing all his set up on stage.... smoke filled August air containing all the smells of the crowd. It was very easy to fall in love with the city.
Oh wait... neighbors... I digress. They seem to have fallen in love with drinking. It's just such a cliche. Wash, rinse, and repeat. Such a sad thing to see. I'll need some new tenants soon. They're just totally hitting all the buttons too... frequent drinking, fighting, common drunk driving, can't hold/find work. I often try to talk to newbies and explain the dangers... but words of wisdom regarding such things are often not even understood by the targets of the words.

*sigh* You need tenants like me. I've lived here for over ten years, have never been late with the rent, keep all the utilities current and only improve the apartment.

Need a new tenant? Sorry, didn't mean to tease. I am looking to relocate to somewhere grow-friendly. How much more friendly could your duplex be? :laughtwo:

How much more friendly could your duplex be?

No kidding. Geez... I might even let ya put a live one in the ground outside. Hell... I'd help you convert one of the rooms into a fun grow room... I think I have a screwdriver somewhere. You just let me know when you need a shift of attitudes and latitudes.

So... neighbors are gone... one to the pokey, the other to the hospital kicking and screaming... literally.
I do so try to understand and sympathize with the victim mentality. I know it's seeds can be deeply sewn. It's hard to see play out in front of you tho. So sad all around. Let their dogs out to pee and poo and bark at the moon for a bit.
I hate alcohol and the problems folks can suffer at it's hands. Don't get me wrong, I'll still partake of course... but still... it's a drag.

.... the wife tries to avoid going to the hospital after being beaten.....

...one to the pokey, the other to the hospital kicking and screaming...

A stitch in time saves nine, says Tead,
and Tead's tenant's doctor.

We totally need this Tead/Sweet Sue thing to happen! Come on down Sue.

Yeah..... Don't tempt me. :laughtwo: I could so see this working out its almost scary. Lol.

Tead, my heart goes out to you. All you're trying to do is provide decent housing with the expectation of limited drama and disruption. Some people get caught in these cycles and alcohol fuels the flames of discontent. You know, Dale and I had some years that were so lean I still for the life of me can't figure out how we kept the children from ever missing a meal or going homeless. We never once decended into chaos. It wasn't that difficult for us to remember we were a team, him and I against the world.

We smoked every day, regardless of the cost. Cannabis helps you deal with it all better than alcohol. This obsessive habit we share is an even better prescription for calming the spirit.

Interesting thoughts on a Sunday morn. I'm still clearing out my possessions Tead. You never know. :battingeyelashes:

I'm going back to sleep now. :kisstwo:

I'll keep a candle in the window for you SS. Don't mind the pup in the yard... she's just a little furry lick machine.

So, the wife wanders in this morning. No keys, so she has to hit me up to let her in.
No words of and shame, embarrassment, apology, or thanks. Just a spew of expletives about how she just can't imagine not having the rights to refuse medical treatment and another spew regarding the people she encountered on her drunken escapades. Her black eyes and bruised arms speak much louder words that she's just so steadfastly ignoring.
As I took care of their dogs early this morning, I see liquor bottles and unpaid bills lying about their unit.
The cliches just keep on rolling.
I sure hope the one where they disappear in the night rolls around before the next ambulance visit. I'm sure going to have to be careful to avoid the 'Tead gets mixed up into the affair' cliche.

Big hug Tead. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

They're heading for crash and burn from the looks of it, so it shouldn't be that far off. Little furry lick machines love me. :battingeyelashes::Love: Tell me it wouldn't be convienient to have a next door tenant you could trust with the keys and to watch over the garden should you decide to take off for a few days? I can tell you it'd be a relief to have a landlord who'd help put the tents up. Lol!
