Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Tead, Doc Bud did a hempy grow using Osmocote+ and one with a high $ specialty product line. The results speak for themselves and Doc was very pleased. You should check out the journal though it is an old one before the development of his High Brix kit, it is titled Un-Lucky Queen 12/12 Hempy

Howdy HH.
I'm just following the footprints of others... Doc Bud being a popular one around here. Good hint tho... Doc Bud's been a source of many good ideas for quite a while.
We're all just standing on the shoulders of our predecessors. Hmmmm.... I wonder if that Overgrown archive is still floating around here?
The one way that my Osmos differ from the usual examples I've run across.... I put my Osmo in near the top. Most of the other examples I've seen put it much lower. Didn't make much sense to do that. I want the nutes washing over the entire root mass, not just the bottom 1/2.

That journal is still available, Un-Lucky Queen 12/12 Hempy, and well worth a read. Doc Bud used the Osmocote+ at the top and lower in the media just above the drain hole. He also explains a good deal about his take on the time release etc., again it is worth the read.
Keep'em green.

Perhaps I was less than clear...
I've read it... many times... and many others. We stand on the shoulders of our predecessors after all.
However, your words yesterday prompted me to do so more reading and re-visiting.
At one point in Doc's thread, he talks about osmotic functions and how it's not possible to over-feed. I'm going to be giving that concept a test at some point.

Photos and feedings...
Temps hit 95f in the grow area yesterday. Should be cooling over the next few days.
A few leaves with curled margins because of the heat.

Betty of course....

It was probably me :loopy: as I have not been 'allowed' to use my first choice for medical relief and have to use the lab chemicals for relief which are not so kind for the mind.

I had this dream the other night
I went to work, but nobody remembered who I was, so I decided to take the day off

On my way out, I ran into my boss
He said, Hey, you look familiar.
I said Thanks, people say that alot in these dreams

Then all of the sudden, I find myself on some faraway tropical beach
And there's this sign there that says
Aren't you supposed to be at work?
Sort of screamed out at me
Then I remembered. I'd been here before in other dreams.
Usually there was a water polo game
And a girl who could talk with her eyes.
And she'd say, "Can you see what I'm saying?"

Then I find myself walking near this lake
And the phone rings
And the operator speaks to me in a language I don't understand

"Ooom poppa chikamaga wana sing gow
Do lomma sinnigama mana ching jow
Inimana choogamaga wana sing gee
Finimana foonimana one is now three"

Now we're coming up on this really weird part of my dream
You know, the part where I know how to tapdance
But I can only do it while wearing golf shoes
Then I'm walking again with the girl who can talk with her eyes
This time she says, "I think you see what I'm saying"
Then just before I woke up, it started to rain in southern california.

Hey Tead decided to pop over and glance through your thread, I see you're in a tin shed, I looked at all the shed types before buying. I bought mine specifically to make into a grow room, I ruled out tin as I thought it would be more difficult to insulate. I bought a 12x16 lofted grace building on rent to own basis @ $140/month, easy to work with has great sofit and ridge ventilation and side walls have studs on 12" centers and ceiling on 24's. I've insulated the side walls done almost all my wiring except for the 220 receptacle for the big A/C window unit and will do ceiling insulation as soon as this first harvest is over. My temps as yours are crazy all the time as you know being only a few degrees south of me. With my current setup off heating with propane and a 8,000 but crappy old a/c it's been necessary to adjust daily. Like you I run my lights @ night for warmth in the winter and will probably to the same in the summer just because of our hot days. I think the shed I bought is perfect for the application once finished although I wish I'd got a bigger one. Always a thought get a Grace wood shed and make your tin one a utility shed or sell it to buy more goodies. I'm sure there are ways of insulating that thing but haven't a clue how, insulation cost for my 12x16 was about $250 and easy to install myself. Best of luck to you and green karma T'boy.

Incidentally we lived in the Quarter my Senior year of high school '77, my Mom & stepdad stayed until Katrina. I was @ Newman, we lived on couple homes down from the corner of Burgundy and Tulouse, fun times, small :420: world. Still got a lot of friends down there and was running oilfield boats until last year when the bottom fell out.

:high-five:

Welcome along CaptnB.

If I had things to do again, I'd sure do them differently. Just not happy with the tin shed at all. Don't know what I was thinking. A wooden shed with walls I could put insulation into and then vapor seal would have been SO much better.
Perhaps some day I'll have an opportunity to change this configuration... but I'll play the cards I'm dealt for the moment.
I am planning to upgrade my power drop soon. Conduit and dedicated line to the circuit box on it's own 220 breaker. I want it to function 2way tho... and be a hookup point for my generator (damn hurricanes!) as well... tho this may require a 2nd wire in the conduit. I'll have some work for my electrician soon.

Good lord... a HS aged kid living deep in the FQ.... no good can come of this!
I love the old houses. I live in a 100+ yr old shotgun double near the race track. Was residing my house a while back, I found a Cypress post supporting the corner of my house... not square lumber, but a big round cypress post. It was in great shape.
So many left after K and set up new lives elsewhere. We lost a good bit of "local flavor". Newbies just don't really get it.

My Mom misses it so much, she loved the Quarter and NOLA, still does, she's up Nashville way with the baby Sis these days. Yeah pretty wild running that hood in the late 70's

"canna Boner"...
I like it! Consider it stolen. Don't know where I'll use it... but keepin that one in the inventory.

I do have it dialed in... I'm really diggin my garden this year. The next harvest (4th gear) is just the 4th in the grow this year. This year has been all about the finer points of my hempy buckets and the attention to detail is really showing nicely. It's just getting better too. The 5gal Girl is enormous. The next in the pipeline is the Osmos... they'll be moving to flower soon... and they're really good looking. The next bucket I put a clone in will be a 5Gal Osmo grow... and when I look at how dense the current osmos are, I should have a monster.

Now.... let's all hope the buggins don't come 'a knockin and the weather treats me nice.
