I thought he was telling ya all that Bending over sucks in your old age? And was wise for the table... JK Keepem Green

So I managed to make the OG Kush you gave me look rough. I don't think it likes my tap water so I had to switch her to the RO. She seems to be doing ok. I have to keep her alive for another 3 weeks or so until I get some soil cooked. Glad to see all is well in your parts, I would love to go see Antiques Roadshow. You guys will have fun.

The male genetics you sent my way seems to be suffering from challenges as well.
Whats your lighting in veg? Are we perhaps challenging them with lighting changes? I'm 24/7
Meh!
I can't figure out what to take to AR. I've got a really nice secretariat that I'd like to take, but that seems a bit much. The sweetie wants to take a bit of folk art (painting on cypress log).

Hmmm.... I see your viewpoint. I still got my money on some minor visual confusion. Perhaps it's the old age thing (oh... and screw you!), but It's hard for me to see that.... 6L of perlite really just really isn't any sort of weight issue for me unless I'm forced to hold my cane at the same time I try to pick it up.:slide:
Skybound's been a frequent visitor lately.... I suspect we'll discover the answer soon.

I was just poking fun at your "clone scone" or "starter stromboli".

You could do a pre-roadshow here on :420:

Let's preview your choices :)

(and yes, I am an antiques and oddities loving coot.)
(Hey! I'm not an antique odd old coot - stop thinking that:) )

I am 18/6 in veg over here. I like to give them a rest. That boy should be about ready to pop his load here soon.

Folk art huh? I don't know that I would want to tote around a secretariat. Hmmmm.....

I think my little male clone took some time to adjust. I was peeking at it yesterday an it appears to be just starting to pump out some new green growth. Time to sink it into a bucket.

The AR folk arrange shipment if you decide to bring furniture. Crazy! Who'd-a-thought?
We'll have to see how that plays out. I gave them a ring and I'm waiting to hear back.

You could always go down to Rau antiques and ask if you can borrow something rare and expensive for the day.

Last time I was there they had an erotic cane of a carved woman and a snake, but they also had faberge canes - tastes vary :)

I dunno man.... I could borrow from an antique shop.... I actually do some nerd work for a big one on Royal now an then.... I'm sure they'd hook me up and I do like canes.... but it feels a touch south of the 'cheater' line. I'll stretch it enough to borrow from a friend, but bringing in borrowed goods from the local antique-ery seems a bit much. On the other hand.... I bet they got some good shit in the back room.... hmmm.....
Who knew a visit to AR included a morals discussion?!?!

I wish my little USB microscope thingy was still alive. The trichs on this girl are different. They're not so much cloudy and go more from clear to amber with the amber first forming on the top bulbous bit and then filling in on the stem of them.
I haven't clipped any fan leaves from her yet. All my sativa 2Ls pretty much self prune fan leaves... the indicas hang onto them much longer.

It's a touch damp in The Big Easy with a minor tropical storm moving thru... plus, we're on the wet side of it. 24hr H/L.

With all of the pipes you're growing out of, it looks like a 4th of July mortar rack, and the ladies do look like shooting stars! Sorry out the insane RH though, I hope that doesn't cause any damage!

Oh man.... I got a 8ft piece of 4" schedule40 PVC just begging me for a sabot, coke can, and hairspray. We used to exercise such joy in the days of my youth at the local abandoned rock quarry. Fun! OH!!!! Flaming tennis balls!!!

Root shots from the Blue Dream....

Note thick greening root protruding above medium up near where I cut it. I see this fairly often.... especially in the root space loving stivas.

Flaming tennis balls! Flashed me back to college. Had a group of guy friends that rented a house together and they used to get drunk and set things like small figurines and toys up in flames in the fireplace. Just for grins. Lol! Dale once shared how he and his buds would go into the neighboring woods and play war games with the little army figures, heavy on minor explosives, just for grins. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Boys and pyro tendencies....... :laughtwo:

How long do you dry before you taste? I'm interested in your smoke report for the Blue Dream.

Words from the local news outlet....

Willard Robertson set out in his motor boat from Brisbi's and steered toward his house across the marina, just in time to hear on television that New Orleans was under a tornado warning. Unfazed, Robertson cracked open a beer.
"C'mon, man," he told a NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune reporter. "You must be an amateur."

Classic damn Y'at! I'd bet his next move was to whip out a pole and some bait.

There are many stories. Imagine when those boys grow up, wear too much green, and get to play with the real version of what we were imitating as children. A little shake-n-bake with an 80mm mortar.... chewin thru targets with a M134.... yankin the lanyard on a howitzer with fancy ammo... the tales go on. Boys 'n toys baby!

I dry under the dehumidifier at 50%-60% RH. It's not optimal.... but it's the currently working technique. Too hot and the humidity fluctuates more than I want. It usually takes 4-5 days to get fully stem-crackin dry. I like to let it cure for at least another 2 weeks before I sample... but I rarely do. I get a lot of 'cough' from my smoke for the first few weeks after drying. Once it smooths out I get a much tastier mellow smoking experience all around.

An unsigned folk art piece - hmmm - I dunno if they will have anything to say about it.
Not coming up dollar $igns on the old spinnng wheels %#$^
No tall tale about a folk artist with one bad eye and a peg leg (internal voice stuck in pirate mode.)

The composition reminds me of 50's Hawaiian art.

I throw myself upon the alter of bad taste and must admit that the only reason I considered it was because of my love for it. Cheesy as crap... I know.
Tho unsigned, it came from the Angola Prison Rodeo... and awesome event I recommend to all. They play cowboy poker... 4 guys, a table, some chairs, a deck of cards, and a live bull. Last one at the table wins. Yup... that's some risky poker baby! The prisoners sell various bits of art to the visitors. Plus, it's on a cypress log. Yeah.... I know... it's no Mona Lisa, but it has my soul.
I'm just not sure I own much worth money. Hmmmm....

Aahhhh - but there's the story.

It reminds me of another. I once went to an inmate prison art show in the East Block at San Quentin State Prison on the shores of San Francisco Bay. I understand the lure of an art show while driving by, but it still amazes me my parents would stop on their way to a family gathering to bring their teen and tweeny children into California's toughest prison to look at paintings by death row inmates. The only prisoner I remember was someone mentioned that Sirhan Sirhan had recently come and gone. The buildings were old and crumbling. We didn't buy anything.

Your cypress log is a nice bit of art.

What's on your fridge?

In the days immediately following Katrina everyone put their refrigerators on the corner. The streets were filled with them. Good ones were well sealed.... but rare. The few of us in the city would often decorate them in some way. I stayed with easy stuff, but many folks had a good bit of time on their hands.
It's left me with an appreciation of stuff on fridges to this day. I fill my fridge and see it as a spot for casual art.

One year we were really slow during the off season and between tattoo clients I started a project of making magnets. I purchased button magnets to glue items with, sheets to cut down, magnetic business card backing for card-sized items and the occasional business card that was too beautiful to toss.

We had train pictures cut to precise detail and any number of whimsical decorative pictures that caught our fancy. We had a couple old metal storage cabinets a client had hauled in, rescued from an old high school science lab he'd rewired as part of a job he'd contracted for.

When I finally gave them to the thrift store it was a sizable small box of colorful wonder. It had to be a surprise for the person who unpacked that box.

Our daughter has magnetic words covering her front door. She enjoys stopping before she goes out to play with wordings, capturing the moment in poetry and joy. Her expressions have less terror of the world beyond her safe space since she started using cannabis as a daily medication. It's delightfully reassuring as her mother to see the change from fear to excitement as she ventures out into the world now.

Mine has artwork from children of members who consider me an auxiliary grandma, and many other other mementos.i keep a picture of my mother there to remind me of how lucky I was in the gene pool. Haha! I love rearranging the face of the fridge. It's a fine balance to keep it from becoming too crowded. :laughtwo:

Loved the homage to the spleen.

Our 80+ refrigerator magnets are not unpacked yet, as we approach 1 year. Probably because the magnets were assmbled mostly during our life together in Massachusetts. "Our" house is our house, but "the" kichen has not yet reached the status of "our" Kitchen.

One magnet set is unpacked.

I think that pin-up pose magnet to the right of your spleen board is also part of our refrigerator magnet collection.
