Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

I don't usually do this... but it's LA ffs.
Light Addict received a shipment from a vendor with some signage on it that caused him to completely sign off of 420 mag.
Sad. We are all less because of his absence.

Missin you already LA. There are some rocks around here that I depend on... and now I'm missing one.

I hope he'll come back with a new screen name and anonymity.

It'd be hard for LA to maintain anonymity. His personality would bleed all through the disguise. Can you imagine me coming back as another user name and trying to be someone I'm not? Yeah..... That's never worked well around here.

It's a shame to have lost him. Maybe he'll rethink. It's harder to walk away from this community than you'd think once you've stuck it out a couple years.

DDA down!

Pulled the major fan leaves. Some minor further clipping will clean it up nice and then it's off to the dry box.

Yeah that's too bad. I received my prize package from Hempzels in the same week that LA received his, four months after we won the contests, and mine wasn't labelled with anything incriminating, thankfully. Hemp pretzels are more like 'hemp crumbs' but thats ok. It is understandable why you wouldn't want 'plant of the year' written on your package... In itself it sounds pretty harmless but I receive a lot of packages, and the post office ladies here are as snoopy as they come. I always get the sense they're just dying to know what's in those boxes.
DDA turned out great. :thumb:

Had to give you reps for that Tead. Wow! Lovely color. She probably could've gone a couple more weeks. :laughtwo:

Maybe. I admit... I was getting tired of staring at her. These DDAs are not so fast. She was pushing my patience.
I really think I'm shooting myself in the foot trying to grow the autos in such small root space. I'll be putting another DDA in place shortly using a taller pot.

Slowest damn plants I've ever grown. It kills me they stay so tiny for so long.

He's about to find out how worth the wait they are. :slide: My last one went a hundred days. :laughtwo:

I don't know that I get any higher from the dda than any of the other eight strains I have on hand, but for sure it's the only one that doesn't slit the throat of my motivation. Even my sativas tend to leave me with a desire to do nothing but float along. With the dda I'll actually look for stuff to do...AND get it done. ;)

Carnival has the same effect for me, which explains how it became one of my top two choices. It became everyone else's favorite too, so I get to grow a lot of it. I have high hopes (pun intended :cheesygrinsmiley:) for the Devil's Carnival. A blend of the highs with the like taste of Carnival and the coloration of the DDA. :slide:

Your bag clones look like they weathered this well Tead. Interesting that you're humid enough with ambient air to make this work. I'm impressed and a bit frightened for my lung capacity and my lack of gills. :laughtwo:

60% seems to be the limit. If your humidity stays above 60, no need for a dome.
Not generally a good sign ehhh? When I list my location as "Under the humidity dome", I'm really understating things.

Good job. Mostly it took inspiration and leaving them alone, didn't it? The hallmarks of a lazy gardener. :laughtwo:

Nice roots on the one. :high-five:

Thanks!

So... some evening ponderings that have accompanied my 50/50 mix of DDA and OGK... man they complement each other well.

First, I relocated the temp probe for my AC unit. It was clipped to the outside of the cooling coil grid as designed. I unhooked it and just fed it thru the front grill and left it hanging in front of the unit kind of down near the intake area. My AC had been kind of short cycling with lots of short shots rather than longer cooling runs. Now, it's running in much longer runs with more time between. Additionally, temps are down. Why had I not tried this before?!?!

Secondly, I'm super digin mixing the Indicas and Sativas. The amazing array of genetics in my garden really makes it all very possible. OGK, UD, PC, Crit+, KaliAK, and a new Northern Lights seedie. Add to all that the recently harvested autos and the strain count hits 8 with a few phenos of some. It's a crazy damn mix and I'm probably forgetting one or two strains.

Thirdly, some of the plants nearing harvest have been fully grown under the increased lighting. Bud density has easily doubled since the lighting was improved. So happy.

It's a happy world in Tead's garden. Every summer gets a bit better. I'm almost at the point I prefer the stability and predictability of the hellish summer heat rather than the crazy winter fluctuations. When I consider the journey my garden and I have traveled together over the years, I dig the dance.

I discovered today that my veg area might get warm in the summer - all that heat from the flower area next door.

Here in Roscobel, we are just starting the mixing of strains. We have harvested 5 of 10 strains so far :)

It's a great night for Dancing. Tomorrow we get to sample a little cajun music from downriver.

Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep 'em tight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and bright
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

Its beautiful in your garden, Tead! And your stash is beautiful, as well. It must be wondrous to have such an array. I love to always have at least some sativa and some indica. I just love that all inclusive high, mind and body.
I'm really glad you're digging your light upgrade. Its amazing what a bit more photos will do, eh?
