Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Phew, thanks, you had me worried there for a while. I live in Spain and hardly speak any Spanish, so sometimes it's hard to find what I need. The label on the bottle says "Bicarbonato Sódico". I found it among the baking products and it was the one I guessed was mostly like baking soda, but that was a tricky guess since I've never used baking soda myself before. I'm glad I picked the right one.
I don’t really know the difference, but I do remember from my cooking classes 30 years ago that they aren’t interchangeable.

I wouldn’t have thought it possible months ago, but 0.2 grams of chewed cob has become my morning dose at 5-6 AM, and that sets the tone for my days.

Good morning my lady I thought it was just me but now I know its not, the longer I use this stuff the less I seem to need.
I do have to switch strains regulally though 2 or 3 days is more than enough then change to something else.

A friend of mine uses a piece the size of a pea most days but was wasted on the same size piece when he changed cobs.
He was at work answering phone calls when it kicked in and found he was getting lost in the calls and answering absolute garbage to their questions.
Shook him up a bit as you know when it kicks in its just the start of a long long journey ha ha.

Do you just eat it as it is, or do you eat it with something? Sadly, eating it doesn't do anything for me. Last time I tried eating 2.7 grams without much happening. I ate some oil with it thinking it might help me absorbing it. It'll get costly if I'd try higher doses :rolleyes:. I've also been thinking Lecithin could help me absorbing it more efficiently, but I haven't tried yet.

Absorption difficulty is usually due to either a genetic predisposition to absorb slowly, or it’s a symptom of a weakened gut system.

There are ways to increase bioavailability. Taking a dose of supplements (apigenin or amentoflavon) that’ll engage the liver enzymes will keep unmetabolized cannabinoids circulating. Experience has shown us that you’ll want a minimum of two capsules of apigenin 30-45 minutes before the cannabis dose.

You can also make certain to have at least a small meal of something high in fats about 30-45 minutes before taking a dose of cannabis. A spoonful of coconut oil will suffice in a pinch.

Mixing your cob chew with coconut oil and liquid sunflower lecithin will also increase the absorbability.
 
I found that chewing 0.5g seems to fully saturate my brain and I’ve got no room for more. Eating 1g and 0.5g were about the same experience for me. I feel like 2.7g would probably be the same as 0.5g, but now I want to find out. :lot-o-toke:

Theres only one way to find out ha ha.
A friend of mine did 1.7g straight up after having no cannabis for like 6 months.
He spent most of the night and the next day in his words going down a vortex like in the old Dr Who tv program ha ha.
He did mention the stars blew him away at night.
 
Hi Nickeluring thats crazy it has to be the strains you use or it wasn't fermented properly for sure.
I chew it until it disintegrates then wash it down with a drink 2.7 grams of mine would have me in hospital ha ha.
But everyones different and has different tolerances.

No, tangwena, unfortunately it's not a strain issue, and I think my Critical cob is pretty potent. I had my friend over and I gave her some cob to put in a joint. I gave her a third of what I used in my joint. She took that third and made a joint out of a third of that - that's a ninth of what I put in my joint. She had 4 puffs on her joint and she was out for the night. The next day she shared what was left of her joint with 2 friends of hers. They all got insanely stoned and one of the guys couldn't speak or move for half an hour. My friend said it was the strongest smoke she's ever had. So, it's not bad at all.

When I ate the 2.7 grams I also vaped and smoked all day. Still not much happening.

I think you're right about the genetics, Sue. I've always had a high tolerance to anything I put in my mouth. My metabolism has been very high my whole life.
I'm interested in trying your suggestions for better absorption. I've similar experiences when trying other drugs. I'll try to find the supplements you're suggesting.
When I tried MDMA I ended up with a double dose, I didn't get a fraction of the effect all the others got.
When I tried DMT, smoking it was insane but when I ate it I felt nothing. The others were all over the place...
When I was in Bali and had mushrooms the bartenders had never seen anyone eat that much mushrooms. My gf had half a bag (of about 10 mushrooms) and was so wasted all night, I had her half a bag and another 7 bags. I got some buzz but not much.

Well that just sucks. Have you tried chewing up a small piece and letting it sit under your tongue for awhile.?

Too funny - just had a flashback to the early 70s where we would stick a small piece of hash on a pin, light it and puff away.

There was this one time we were smoking with a first timer. He had a similar low to no reaction to it. Took forever and the other 3 of us were on the floor with our tongues hanging out.

Yes, when I did the 2.7 grams I kept as much as possible under my tongue. After a while I exchanged it to some new ground up cob. At the same time I kept a ball of it under my upper lip, like people chew tobacco in Sweden. And I ate and I chewed. I took a while, 2.7 grams of cob is a big pile when ground up.

If you get this no reaction from multiple products, can we rule out any issues with the cob itself> I think so, but what happens if you smoke or vape a small piece?
All day long my Volcano is steaming along. I vape high quality bud, and I load my Volcano up good, the herb chamber is usually full. When my little girl is asleep I roll a good joint with pure cob. Smoking this is what gives me the best buzz I can get, way better than any weed or hash, but it's not much of a buzz anyway.

I used to get stoned, though. Before I built this tolerance I have now, I got stoned like everybody else I think. I have over done it a bit for the last couple of years...
 
I managed 10 days a couple of months ago. For a few days after that I got a bit stoned. During those 10 days I was a very cranky man. Will try a couple of weeks break this summer.

The value of the sensitization process is that it gradually reintroduces you to cannabis, and you’ll reset a lower tolerance. The abstinence period can be softened by keeping a jar of your favorite buds to sniff. The terpenes will give you a noticeable lift, and get you through rough spots, so you won’t feel so cranky. :battingeyelashes:
