Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

Ok I started the DRYing PROCESS yesterday And since I had to leave for a bit this afternoon
I Turned off the De-Humidifier and put the COBs back into the Glass Cigar Tube, Closed with
the Oxygen Absorber at bottom of tube under a Cotton Ball.

Anyway when I opened it just a few minutes ago its gone SUPER SWEET
It now smells exactly Like CINNAMON sticks :) :circle-of-love:

Cinnamon now that sounds real interesting. Can't say as I have had that smell. When was the taste test again?

Ok, a couple of nights ago I got things done and was sitting down to relax a bit. I filled a bowl in the SOLO II with some of the Afghani cob. If your not familiar with it, the bowl will hold .2-.3 grams. Its a good thing I was done for the night. The smoke is so smooth I am going to use it as the reason. I finished that bowl and it finished me. I was high as F****. I chewed .6 grams of the Kwazulu cob I have earlier in the week. That one kept me going a good 5-6 hours. Its a funny effect as my legs felt like they were floating while walking. Those large White Widow cobs I done awhile back are the other half's favorite. That may be why she is excited about the WW growing in the SIP bucket in my R&D thread.

I dug this up somewhere durring my ss.
(stoned searches...) and can’t find where or who first posted it.
After a few small cobs, I thought I’d try something a little different.
I found this post:

-
Through heaps of trial and error i have found I prefer the caramel color for its lysergic like effects tripping on grass.

Short dry (2 days)

Short sweat (12hrs 40c)

Short cure ( 6 days)

Medium aged (1 to 3 months)

Useing that as a guideline I:

14-2k18

Unknown strain

It’s a toss up

Oooops..,,

It’s 7 grams wet

Did a Bud wash

Then put up for a 1 day dry

2-15-2k18

Sprinkled in a couple scoops of kief

Cobbed it all up in corn wrap

Vac sealed

Sweated 12 hours @104f

Removed and dried outside (corn wrap not opened) with paper towel

Again did the Vac seal
5 days ferment @ 84f

Opened up and got this
Has a deep sweet smell

I’m now drying to 60-89% dry

So

Should I dry it with the corn wrap on or off???

Thanks!!!

That looks dangerous its finished ready to dry and age brother go straight to drying and curing section ha ha.
Touch dry sealed for 5 days touch dried and repeat until you just cant stand it any longer (it will happen ha ha).
The smell will be awesome seal and age for a month then have a friend on speed dial with a straight jacket before testing ha ha.
I would do it with wrap off but it doesn't matter now the hard work is done.
Lovely job so far man.

I am focusing my cobbing on cobs that have a starting wet weights between 7-15 grams wet.
I went head and rewrapped the cob in the corn wrapper and resealed with Vaccum.
It’ll sit for 5 days, then I’ll check and remove the corn wrapper for good.
Thank you for the insights!!!!

You guys have me salivating to get another cob going. One more week. :slide:

@Gazoo, the 20th came and went birthday boy. Did you try the cob?

Well it was a lot like this ;)

Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune,
Something to make us all happy.
Do anything, take us out of this gloom.
Sing a song, play guitar, make it snappy.

You are the one who can make us all laugh.
Doing this, you break down in tears.
Please don't be sad. If it was a straight life you had,
None of us would've known you all the years.

Each time you choose to sing the rock & roll blues,
You take everybody's loneliness with you.
What do you lose each time you face down a room?
All of us see how it changes through you.

So sing of the ocean of tears you have sailed,
Of strangers and lovers that took you.
All of us sang, and all of us failed.

In one way we don't ever hear you.

Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune,
Something to make us all happy.
Do anything, take us out of this gloom.
Sing a song, play guitar, make it snappy.

When words fail

Can’t keep my eyes from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted
Just an earth-bound misfit,

Actually these next versus kinda says it all

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer
My grubby halo, a vapor trail in the empty air
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night

There’s no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss
Can’t keep my mind from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted
Just an earth-bound misfit, I

Go Gazoo! :high-five:

Time for me to jump back in. I took down a Carnival the other day that had the biggest, baddest colas I’ve grown to date. :yahoo:

Today I pulled out one of the big ‘uns and flattened it out, then dropped it into heated water for the next 24 hours. :slide:

Good grief I love what we do. :green_heart:

I looked up my notes and Tangwena recommends the following for a golden cure, the desired result of my latest Carnival adventure:

Short dry (2 days)
Short sweat (12hrs 40c)
Short cure ( 6 days)
Medium aged (1 to 3 months)

I’ve readjusted the timer on the sous vide machine.

I also wanted to note that I started with hot water, registering at 120°F, and it took the first hour to get down to 104°. Not sure how or if that’ll effect the cure, but I wanted it on the record in case it has some significance.

Lastly, I forgot to point out the weighted bag. I sealed a couple knives in before adding the cola.

Two knives did the trick. :hookah:

Hi Sue you are waking and baking well sweating at least. Such a lovely thing to be doing creating heaven on a stick.

Check these canary buds by fellow Cob club member Buddler fresh canary style buds just about to go into the aging period.
He is killing it the making these they are mostly Ace plants and crosses of Ace plants.

Beee-utiful Tangwena. Please forward our respect for a job well done. :thumb:

I missed my timeline a little and she got 3 hours longer in the sweat than I’d planned. Maybe it’ll work out anyway. If I miss the mark for the golden cure this time there’ll always be another harvest.

Oops you did it again ha ha
If thats a miss make mine miss everytime. You cant go wrong, ok maybe not golden but its still going to be a diamond.
Thats well on the way to a sticky sweet dream.
Its like rolling the dice but every times a winner with you.

Amen to that! :laughtwo: I’ve figured out that no matter what we do, within reasonable limits mind you, we get stellar results.

This one looks like she’s gonna come out looking more like a ruby when she’s done. Absolutely fascinating to watch.

Guys....has @Duggan even stuck his nose into this room? Surely he’d appreciate the smoothness of the draw and the enhanced euphoria. With the beasts he brings to harvest on a regular basis he surely has some to spare for an experiment.
