Tangwena's Malawi-Style Cob Cure: Fermented Cannabis

It so happened that we've got a plant inside the harvest window so I took a few branches off and hung them to dry for a few days and we smashed and packed those too. Here are pictures of my fresh buds getting the sausage roll treatment in butcher wrapping paper (I'm corn free too, so sadly, hesitant to use husks although I like the idea of the added sugar transferring to the buds). Notice how he neatly folded the ends of the butcher paper to make a nice edge on the cobbed roll. The last pic is of the American Harvest food dehydrator coming to temperature. This was all done last night around 5 p.m. but we had to run to a dinner in town so I'm just getting you up-to-date now.

Thanks Lazyfish, it is fun! and it's fun to collaborate. The tubular idea worked in theory but once one sticky bud got stuck, they all piled up. oops. He's talking about making a wooden mold that hinges open. But, first things first, we've got so much to figure out.

That’s a tough one to pull off, although my brain perked up at Gazoo’s post. Lol! Would that be food worthy @Gazoo?

Oh! That's a good alternative... we could cut the long side, tape it shut, stuff, then untape and remove.

Or, the simpler bamboo mat. yes, @lazyfish I like the bamboo mat that @SweetSue uses, but I didn't like my rolling technique and thought I could improve on it by cheating with a tubular idea. The bamboo mat is likely to be the winner though.

This experimenting is giving me really really good reasons to hang out and play with my herb. lol.

Not sure about FOOD Grade worthy ? I just look up teflon tubing when I read the Copper tubing was sticking
and thought they must make Teflon tubes ;)
 
one could always use nylon hose used in water systems...used for potable water, so should be fine...there are probably a kijillion possibilities if one is creative...just thinking out loud, but Ya know those plastic containers that electrical tape comes in...sterilize one or more and pack them with fresh produce and seal...would make some nice uniform pucks...:hmmmm:...or instead of corn husks...maybe some tortillas rolled tight and sealed...I dunno'...:hmmmm::rofl:...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:...

...now the wheels are turnin'...:rofl:...take some decarbed or fresh herb, mixed with pork and seasonings(hot italian would be my choice) and make sausage or sausage cobs...:hmmmm::rofl:...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:...on second thought, scratch the sausage cobs...but canna sausage...oh Yeah!...;)
