Tales From The Krip!

Very healthy looking plants Krip. They look ready for CAT now to me. If you stick with alternating drenches, CAT is mostly transplant so following your Growth drench and h2o would be the perfect time to give the CATs. It won't hurt to do it later either it's a personal choice really. Just sayin you could do it now if you wanted.

I thought I had read that you want to give a strong TP drench immediately before the CAT. Something about preparing the roots to get the most benefit from the CAT. Am I mistaken on this?

Basically you just want to be sure to have given a good tp drench after your final up pot. that way you can load the cation sites so that the cat drench can work properly. If you have given TP in those pots especially in the last week or two you should be good.

Lovely leaf color, your killing it in that tent. Very happy plants. Looking great brother.

Cheers

You've been giving transplant drenches their whole life, the cation sites are ready to go.

Yeah, thanks guys! :thanks:

I forgot that the "standard" procedure is to flip as soon as up-potting from the #1's. These guys have had plenty of TP drenches and I've been feeding them strong, so, I'll give them the CAT in another day or two when they should be ready for their next drink.

I've added some Recharge and EWC a few weeks ago since they had been vegging for quite a while in the #10's but still need to hit the Blackwater & White Widow with Recharge; and I'll likely add some more shortly after the CAT drenches, just to be "safe" on the other three.

FRUIT PUNCH LOOKIN' LIKE FIRST TO FINISH

Lights just went on in the tent and when I went to check on the girls I was pretty surprised to see that, unless I totally missed it yesterday, between then and today the Fruit Punch's pistils have started to brown off. Not just one of them, but just about all of them (all the buds, that is - not all the pistils! ).

I was a little concerned at first that something had hermied and sprayed pollen all over the tent, since it's only been something like 25 days of 12/12, but I don't see any signs of nanners and the Fruit Punch is the only plant, so far, to show the browning pistils, so I'm thinking it's just a sign she may be an early finisher (at least, out of the group!). She's frosting up well, too, and both her and the White Widow have nice, fruity aromas (I like the fruity flavors!) with the WW smelling somewhat tropical! :yummy:

Here are a few FP pic's as of 30 minutes ago showing the brown pistils:

IT'S BLACKWATER & WHITE WIDOW!

I tried to get a couple of trichome shots of the Blackwater & White Widow plants which I always seem to have a tough time capturing. After taking about 10 shots of each, I've got two shots of each that really show what they're doing.

Here's the Blackwater:

And, here's the White Widow:

I left the far LED on & used the flash, which provided the contrast. ;)

QUICK UPDATE - WATTS UP!

The two Tuts got their first CAT drenches Wednesday night and the Blackwater and Fruit Punch got their first CATs last night. It looks like it will be another day or two before the White Widow is ready for another drink, when she'll get her first CAT.

I did notice that, after the CAT drenches, the girls were all looking very perky with their leaves pointing up in the air. Even the Fruit Punch, that when she's happy has droopy-looking leaves, was looking perky.

Since I have some older/spare LED's, I decided to add one more to the tent. It's just over 300w actual power draw and uses the 5w chips, which aren't "leading edge" but not too bad, either.

With that added to the two Reflectors, it should give me just under 1 kw actual power draw in LED's.

Hoping that will help pack on the resin during the last six weeks, or so.

I'll get some pics up over the weekend.

Happy Harvests!
