Well take those Double Sour Purple Kush seeds, get a couple plants growing and make yourself a boatload of seeds. You only need one seed to make thousands.

Colloidal silver is on it's way.
Got my Mars light back. Kind of done being able to let people use my stuff. They broke off the ground prong of my power cord and somehow managed to kill one driver and therefore half of my light. They also didn't tell me that it was toast so I rearranged the tent before I plugged her in..... ugh.
Everything else is just plugging along. Wife says we will be getting a new light. I have requested a particularly Chinese one that appears to have the same specs as Mars300. I will be trashing most of the Mars panel. Saving the good driver, heatsink and fan. Should give me something to practice building LEDs without losing too much money in the failure department.

I think Mars will sell you replacement parts for that lamp you have. Likely all you need is a new driver and they are not expensive. Worth a shot... hit up @SmokeSara she may be able to help you. I think I paid $10 or something for a driver I needed. So pretty cheap and worth it.
You likely need the ground plug. Can go to hardware store and get a replacement for a few bucks, cut the end off this one and put a new 3 prong plug on.
With gear its like lending books or tools... dont really expect to get them back, tbh. I don't lend out tools (period). I may as well fix whatever needs fixing and take my tools back home with me.

I loaned a pipe wrench and brand new roll of duct tape to my best friend in the world 20+ years ago. Out of the clear blue several months ago he hands them back to me with a big grin and said "thanks for the loan"

Well, I got the quote for spare Mars parts... parts are a very fair price, no doubt about it. The $25 shipping charge is a bit off the charts. With diodes and a driver $50...
I found an equivalent (60x5w) Chinese panel for that exact amount. Going to see if we can swing it.. otherwise I may have to hook that 110v 50w cob up. I can do that for about $25 and everything I have to buy for it is good for more than one use.
Edit to add:
After I strip the light I will at least have a 12v fan, heatsink, and one good driver for future projects.
On a side note, my wife and I have been married 5 years on the 23rd. I got her a sweet gold fumed glass bowl from a non 420sponsor. I am as excited to get it as she will be when I give it to her. Lol.

Ugh, ordered a soldering kit and some silicone based thermal transfer glue to get my 50w blurple cob running. Also found my extra 12v fan so I dont have to rip apart the old Mars quite yet. Lol. Oh yeah, also managed to forget I had a little 15a fused power switch so I have a little extra protection.
Upcoming projects are getting a bit thick. I have test seeds to pop, transplants to do, some feminized seed making and now DIY LEDs.. WTF am I doing to myself?!?!?

Baby seeds germinated on October 22nd. Just 15 days old now. On average, under 11/13 cycle from seed, my plants show sex day 21-28. My CS is scheduled to be delivered between the 7th-15th. If the weed Gods play nice everything should fall right into place and I will have female pollen sacks before Christmas.
Now I have to decide which lady to reverse. TTB seeds are pretty rare from what I gather. My DDA crosses are just test seeds.
Trailer Trash Betty is the most likely candidate at the moment. An AK47 pheno that has been manipulated over the years to have an extremely short flowering time. But I have been told that the males are great for making quick flowering regular F1s... but one pollen source at a time is the rule

I would imagine their roots are a bit restricted. And I wonder if it may be the phenotype. Crossing two closelynrelated lines may be the culprit. I say all this loosely because I'm not a scientist and only just beginning to delve into genetics and breeding
Both of those Sensi crosses have those tell tale bug Sensi fan leaves.

I have considered supercropping the Sensi NL x Nirvana NL to let the other branches catch up. I haven't because the first time I grow a strain I really like to see the natural plant structure.
Good way to grow.. figure out the natural way they grow and then you can experiment.
Glad you could figure out your Mars parts thing. I had a similar challenge and got parts I needed. I don't remember doing a $25 ship fee... interesting considering the drivers are not that big. I could see an $8 letter getting it to you. Maybe shipping in from overseas?? New world problems.

Word. I also had my wife's uncle offer me one of his like new mars300s for $50 today... options sometimes just appear out of nowhere, after I spent the money to build a light of course. Lol
You can never have too many lights.......lol When the plants catch fire, that's a good sign you have too many lights in your grow space.
