very nice sue, but you smoke more bud and less lighter fluid if you break it up and pack it. the best is when the bowl stays lit by itself. it's much more pleasing. I was gonna buy a hemp wick, but my piece broke.

I did not know this, in all seriousness. Tonight I'm going to roll my first joint in 30 years. Seriously. Since meeting Dale 35 years ago I have always smoked with him. It's been difficult to enjoy the harvest on my own, although I'm giving it my best shot. Last night I suddenly realized I could roll a joint! Let's see if I can finish it.

What a world, eh?

I don't even know what a hemp wick is. Such a lightweight. Google time!

I used a Hemp Wick for a very long time... Loved smoking with it.

Then I got an Herb Iron... that thing is the bees knees!!!

Whaat...didn't know about the iron. I've been wanting go with the hemp wick....that iron blows it out of the water

My eye muscles aren't as flexible as they were when I was a younger woman. In order to see all this frostiness I have to take a picture and zoom in. Thank goodness for technology.

I never knew it could be so beautiful.

I can't even see the trichs scattered across the pipe until I do this. So worth the effort.

I will start a journal. Sorry if I broke etiquette with my post. I have always been accused of being rude, crude and socially unacceptable..lol

I will get the journal going in the next few days. It will be a little different from what you are used to. I will leave it at that.

I have learned SOOO much from the pros that follow and direct you thread. It is a wealth of info.

That "lighterfluid" taste goes away with a long cure. But, I know exactly what you aree talking about.

Dont worry, SweetSue. I dont know what a hemp wick is either. I havent ever even successfully hand-rolled a joint. I can do it with manual roller machine, though. Im pretty lazy I guess. I do not like cleaning it well enough to roll it, it takes too long. You have to get out every tiny little stick. Nah. Pass the bowl. please. haha

Actually, "my crazy mind" sees a house-fly that was embedded in the Ice-Age. Yes, I am weird, I would smoke that in a heart-beat. lol

You broke no etiquette rules at all. That was just about avoiding stopping here and simply posting that you started a journal. You'll see that happen all the time, unfortunately. The site prefers those types of messages be done by PM. You feel free to share here anytime.

Well I didn't want to start the journal until the beans popped. Now they are popping. They are bagseed and will be grown in WalMart dirt. Like I mentioned, this will be a "different" kind of grow for this forum. Can I grow a pound of weed for under $20US and only spend 20 miniutes per week tending. This is my challenge. I wil invite you when it is up. Prob tomorrow.

I love your journal and the experts that are here. I will need help from you guys. Now back to trimming...

joints are my favorite. sometimes when I want to get creative I make a bong like thing with a water bottle and a straw. all you have to do is burn a small hole in the middle of the water bottle where the straw will go. it's easy to do if you hold the water bottle horizontally then start to burn the hole with a lighter. as soon as the hole starts to form grab your straw and stick it in and you'll have a tight seal. now burn a hole at the top of the water bottle which you'll use as a carb. fill with water so the straw is under, but make sure not to fill up to the hole or you'll spill. this is a great way to get big rips filtered through water. I use a filter when I roll joints so it works well.

but yeah if you pack a bowl it's the best. it stays lit if done properly like a tobacco pipe. it's great. you don't have to finish the pack if you don't want to, it'll be there waiting for you. I haven't smoked in a couple weeks.. kinda fiending now. I wish I could make my plants grow faster lol.

When you harvest your plants you'll find the experience of preparing it for consumption to be a new one for you Sorenna. Sticks aren't even part of my process. The tiny floral bits and sugar leaves just pull right off with a gentle force and will likely look and feel completely different from anything you have ever purchased. Growers are much more careful in handling their buds than sellers are. My fingers are always sticky when I smoke.

I save every tiny piece of stick and stem that can't be smoked or easily cooked and ingested. Eventually I'll combine them with some quality buds and make some oil. I plan to use every available trichome and bit of plant material I can. I believe there's valuable nutrition in the stems that may not be available from any other part of the plant. I haven't searched for the science to back that up yet, but it's a strong sense. We're just beginning to learn how much this species has to offer us.

Well, Ive never been a snob about much of anything, except gaming. haha Ive never smoked a named strain or homegrown. I expect to be put on my butt when I finally get to. I did have some that tasted like blueberries once. That was excellent, tastewise at least. Ima need to find a nice blueberry auto strain for a future grow.

Btw, your little lovey is looking fantastic, as if shed look any other way.

LOL, "booger hash" is what my wife calls it! Too funny.

I got about a half gram built up now. Still greazy and taste like lighter fluid. I like to let it dry a day or so before partaking.

I have been hold up while it has thunderstormed all day and still trimming. Almost done after about 3 hours of labor. Labor? Nah, it's more like love.

I do as much as I can until my eyes can't focus then its all hers, "she has to have it trimmed just so" anyway. My trimming is never up to what she would like as a standard lol. I do the cloning, the seeding, the transplanting, the nutes(I know I'm not a LOS or HiBrix, yet) the rotating, for the veg and the bloom throughout, oh yeah the water lugging downstairs in the 7 gal containers, we don't have a faucet in the unfinished basement. I keep saying I'm gonna put in a faucet and use this 35 gal tank that we have, and bubble it with the bubbler that we have too but I keep filling these 7 gal aquatainers made for camping. I have sweated pipe before what am I waiting on...its been three years now.
Anyway She likes the trimming part too, it gets painful for me but I try for a while

I have a plan! Four plants total in the tent, leaving plenty of space for youngsters. A new way of gardening for me, this starting seeds in smaller pots and transplanting. I'm sure I can get the hang of it.

First Salts and now replanting... ie tilling the soil... What is NEXT? Has the REAL Sue been taken captive? Who is this Masked Grower?

I couldn't find anything on the temp of a herb-iron.
