SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

The Jamaican's harvest window has opened.

IMG_576113.JPG

The amber crept up on me overnight. :thedoubletake: She just got a TransWater drench today, so she'll have 'till Sunday. Wanna know what makes me happiest? Neiko shared with me to try and finish fruity chemovars on a Transplant drench to bring out the fruity terps. Her last drench was a Transplant. :slide:

Made me feel all grown up to get it right. :laughtwo:

The stalks of the trichomes at the top of the branches filled with red oil. How cool is that? Then I spotted this sessile capitate trichome filled with red oil and started to get more excited. :slide:

IMG_57686.JPG

And then I ran into the amber and knew the end was near. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_57716.JPG

She's scheduled to come down Sunday, which gives me plenty of time to get UD 1.1 out of the fridge so there's enough room to dry her proper.

Happy, happy Thanksgiving to me. :slide:

High SweetSue,

Happy Thanksgiving to you. Ours was filled having a gathering of our family of whose left. Very nice!

Yeah, I wondered about you yesterday. I did notice that you had posted, and knew you were okay. I'm glad I was right!

You seem to have the prettiest ladies (aside from Doc Bud) always. Very nice green thumb. Well, back to lurking :Namaste:

Thank you Bode. :hugs: I'm glad to hear your day was up to the holiday hype. :laughtwo: I have a happy touch with the camera, Doc has a brilliant touch with the kit. :battingeyelashes: This recent batch have been some of my prettiest specimens. I'm really excited about trying the Jamaican. If she turns out to be what I hope it would be my final puzzle piece to the regular rotation.

I know I am late getting around to you Sue...but Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Hope you enjoyed it and you managed to spread your joy!!

Thank you Van. I caught your well-wishes in a couple other places during the day. :hugs: From the tenor of the posts I figured you and Ms Stank were having a joyous day yourselves.

Oooh that’s a nice harvest to look forward too... ! .

Oh Amy, you have no idea. :laughtwo: It was everything I could do to keep from chopping her today. Lol!

Looking good Sue. Enjoy the harvest.

Cheers.

Thanks Ditch. You know, I must have started heading to your journal at least a dozen times in the past couple days, only to be distracted by more pressing matters. Let me swing by now and see what you and the pup have going on. :hugs:

Before I go,

Good morning everyone:Love:

Where did the week go? :laughtwo: Seems I just posted the updates days ago. I'll get to them in a few minutes. I'd meant to post this jarring up last night, but I had a Thin Mint brownie around 9 PM and somewhere around 11 it made me crawl to bed. Lol! I hadn't realized how much late night posting I'd been doing until I started playing with indicas. It becomes a challenge, do I want to sleep more or write more? Lol!

Jarring it up: Ultra Dawg 1.1

Two weeks in the bags is long enough for most buds.

IMG_57723.JPG

They felt a little on the dry side. I may reweigh when they hit 62%, just to see how much difference a couple points up in RH can make to that measurement.

IMG_57746.JPG

Into the jar with a hygrometer for the night.

IMG_57757.JPG

Sure enough, the hygrometer was reading 57% RH this morning so I dropped in a Boveda. Another successfull harvest. :slide:

I'll be back with the updates. :ciao:

Weekly Update: Clone Cuttings and Veg Shelf - Friday, November 24, 2017

Both clone cuttings were checked yesterday. No visible roots on Carn 4.6 yet, and CBD CC 2.8 is looking like she'll pull through.

IMG_584110.JPG

Back to a full house. I've been holding off the Alaskan Thunderfuck seed until the Devil's Carnival slips into flower. I believe I'll let her follow the Jamaican on Sunday. At that point I'll plant the seed I've been treating with banana peels for more than two weeks now.

IMG_582115.JPG

Chem Dawg (Day 25, 6 of them in the pot) Up to full strength nutes, at least the lowest level of veg nutes, 8 ml of Parts A & B and 4 ml of Energy to a gallon of water. Of course, all the hempy plants get CaliMagic added at the rate of 2 teaspoons per gallon of water.

IMG_582213.JPG

I'm looking forward to actually getting one to harvest. Lol! This girl is my third attempt. She shows great promise.
IMG_582311.JPG

Malawi 1.2 (Day 25, 6 of which were in this pot) Also up to the same nutrient level as her roommate. Malawi's a slow starter, but she has all the positive signs I look for in a young cutting. New growth looks healthy and vigorious, and her color is wonderful.

IMG_582414.JPG

IMG_582514.JPG

Jamaican Bag Seed 1.1 (Day 36, 28 of them growing roots in this pot) She recieved her first Transplant drench the other day. I completely forgot to Brix her with the last foliar application. :thedoubletake: I'll have to remember she's a kit girl too. Lol! A strange one, isn't she? It was everything I could do to keep from chopping her back, but I really, really want to see what she'll do unmolested this time. Then the next run I'll do a bit more

She won't have enough space in here until I get DC 1.2 moved out. Right now she's just surviving in the tiny space allotted.

IMG_58267.JPG

IMG_58287.JPG

IMG_58297.JPG

The upper branches are beginning to take off. This shooting out the lower branches horizontal like she does is the weirdest structure I've ever grown.

IMG_58318.JPG

Devil's Carnival 1.2 (Day 62, 51 of which have been in veg) Holding steady at 12 ml of Parts A & B and 4 ml of Energy per gallon of water, she's simply waiting for her time under the flowering lights. She èxploded in growth this past week, forcing me to play canna Tetris again.
IMG_58325.JPG

The smaller pot has worked well for this chemovar too. I've got to find more of these trash cans. I only have three, and that puts pressure on, although..... it forces me to stay within the limits of the garden resources, doesn't it? Not a bad thing. I'll be getting more balance in mediums too. I'm learning more and more about making the kit perform better, and I have bins and bins of soil to work with.

IMG_58333.JPG

J, I'll be taking a cutting for you when I flip her. :battingeyelashes:

I snapped all the growing tips off her the other day, and that's gonna be perfect timing for the flip. :woohoo:

IMG_58347.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.7 (Day 43, 29 of them in this pot) She's resting at the maximum level of veg nutes now, 12 ml of Parts A & B with 4 ml of Energy per gallon of water. She'll spend the next month getting huge, and follow her mother into the flowering tent.

IMG_58357.JPG

Sometime in the next week I'll pull out the bonsai wire and train her the same way I did with DC 1.2.

IMG_58366.JPG

IMG_58376.JPG

This specimen has the largest leaves I've ever grown on a CBD CC. That got me excited. :laughtwo:

IMG_583811.JPG

She rivals DC 1.2.

IMG_58396.JPG

A happy brood. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_584012.JPG

Next up, the tiny closet and Spa. :ciao:

The Spa

IMG_57976.JPG

Blue Dream S1 (Day 114, flip + 41) In step with CBD CC2.6, she's down to 14 ml of Parts A & B with 4 ml of Bulk per gallon of water. They'll be harvested at about the same time

I couldn't be happier with this plant, to be honest. She's been so easy to grow, and after the skim milk foliar she's no longer showing anymore signs of powder mildew. There were a few scattered spots on a few leaves, but the milk stopped it in its tracks. *whew!*

IMG_57989.JPG

Blue Dream is a great oil-producer. No wonder it's so popular among the oilers. I'm thankful to have some in the lineup. One of these days I'll make an oil that uses a little of everything in the cupboard. :laughtwo: Won't that be fun?

IMG_57997.JPG

IMG_58018.JPG

Mmmmmmm...........

IMG_580213.JPG

IMG_58038.JPG

Jamaican Bag Seed (Day 136, flip + 60) She got her final drench yesterday, a TransWater, and her last Brix foliar was on Tuesday. She's all prepped for her Sunday harvest. :yahoo:

IMG_58049.JPG

IMG_580511.JPG

IMG_580615.JPG

IMG_58079.JPG

Buds have beefed up nicely in the past week.

IMG_58088.JPG

Yeah.......... :dreamy: ......... I'm ready too. Lol!

IMG_580911.JPG

GROWant GR240 Sponsored Tent

Carnival 4.4 (Day 97, flip + 16) Beginning the tic upwards in nutrient concentration, she's recieving 14 ml Parts A & B with 8 ml of Bulk per gallon of water. Obviously, this is one happy girl. :woohoo:

IMG_57819.JPG

IMG_57848.JPG

Time to raise the lights again. :slide:

IMG_57827.JPG

Much better. I hope she's nearly don't stretching. I don't want to have to reconfigure hanging the light. At day 16 since flip, I'd say she's nearly done.

IMG_57838.JPG

IMG_57857.JPG

Every one is so different to me. I'm liking the way this girl is structuring herself. Branches are strong and rigid. This particular chemovar shows no tendency to grow whispy branches.

She's planted in one of the low and wide pots. It'll be interesting to see if that increases yield appreciably, because if it doesn't I'll retire those pots too and stick strictly to the smaller pots.

IMG_578611.JPG

Finish Tent

CBD Critical Cure 2.6 (Day 109, flip +55) She's working her way off the nutrients, down to 14 ml of Parts A & B with 4 ml of Bulk per gallon of water. Her next drench begins the shift to no more Bulk. She's about two weeks or so out from harvest. I'm considering shifting DC 1.2 into this space to be shared with CBD CC 2.8, once this girl gets to harvest.

IMG_57877.JPG

IMG_578911.JPG

IMG_579011.JPG

IMG_57914.JPG

She's into that explosive stage, when blossoms start poking out all over. :slide:

IMG_57938.JPG

IMG_57947.JPG

Frosty as all get out, and smelling so delicious it makes the mouth water when I get near her. :laughtwo:

IMG_57959.JPG

She's looking like I'll be getting a decent yield out of her. Still two weeks, minimum, to go.

IMG_57968.JPG

And that, ladies and gentlemen, concludes the nickle tour. I thank for stopping to "Ooooo...." and "Ahhhh...." with me. :laughtwo: It's delightful to grow these wonderful plants, but being able to share their beauty with all of you adds another layer of joy to the experience. I do hope they brought a warm and fuzzy smile to the lips. :battingeyelashes:

Now get out there and share that joy with someone. You know it'll make your day all the better for sharing. I'll catch up with you all later. I'm gonna get out for a walk in this glorious sunshine. Everything else can wait. I've a show to usher this evening, too. More delight to an already marvelous day.

Until then. :ciao:

Hi Sue,
I am on page 4. Did I miss anything?

Your garden always looks nice. Today's show was nice to find when I finally got a chance to rejoin the adventures.

I never know
Best

Canyon.....:hugs::hugs::hugs: I've been so busy lately that I haven't made contact with you in weeks, have I? There's so much wrong with that. :battingeyelashes:

On page 4 :laughtwo: Well, I've survived nanners and powdery mildew in the past month. Lol! Aside from that, things chug along smoothly. I finally got my passion for propagation under control and now I have a reasonable amount of plants under my charge.

That pretty much sums it up my friend. I'm glad my show meshed so well with your arrival. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Situation normal here, AFU
I chopped the last big plant I had in rotation about three weeks ago. Now I have 4 plants flowering that were unhealthy when they went in to flower. I lost one earlier that was in flower. I think these will finish but with dismal yields.

Do you remember the seed order that Customs took early this year? The reshipped order had Thunder Struck (20-1 CBD/THC) in it when I could not find that strain anywhere and they were showing it as out of stock. Odd at best. Any way I planted two and have had one of them flowering for about three weeks. I will have a basic cannabinoid test run on it. If it is the real deal and I have the funds, I will get a full set of tests. The two I have going are strong and healthy for the way I have treated them.

My wife wife takes low dose CBD in chocolate bars and has no interest in THC before dark. They are expensive. It would be nice if the seeds are the real deal. If not I lost a year on that order.

Well, we're gonna assume the universe verse has it all sorted out and they're the real deal.

Off to the Music Hall. Tonight's show is Post-Modern Jukebox. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good afternoon everyone

Having a busy day posting everywhere else, but I wanted to stop before the rest of the day got involved to say how much I appreciate each and every one of you. :hugs:  :hugs:

Tonight I have the Drag Queen Christmas Party to usher. :laughtwo: Joining the volunteer crew at this music hall was one of my better inspired moments. Next month I get to usher the show for Paula Poundstone. I'm cultured up to my eyeballs. :laughtwo:

The sun's beginning to peek through the clouds, looking like it might make an actual appearance, and I've been sitting here much too long. Must be time for a stroll along the river, planning the harvest of the Jamaican. Had her out for her final pictures.

IMG_58508.JPG

IMG_585110.JPG

She looks chocolate. :laughtwo:

IMG_585212.JPG

My own chocolate frosty, cannabis style. Lol!

IMG_585312.JPG

Massive as they look from this view, I just carried her in here and I'm thinking about an ounce, dry.

Only the very lowest buds are still green. If she wasn't accelerating the switch to amber trichomes I'd be giving her another two weeks.

IMG_58588.JPG

IMG_58629.JPG

Shes no slacker in oil production, and all the very tops of the colas have red oil in the trichome stalks. :woohoo:

IMG_58636.JPG

Back under the lights for one more night.

IMG_586610.JPG

Well I hope that brought you a little joy. I'm going out the door in a few to spread mine through my own community. Have fun doing the same in your slice of paradise. Until later, my friends. :ciao:

Carn 4.4 has finished stretching. She stopped at 30 inches from the perlite with some of the strongest branches I've seen in a Carnival.
