Mango scent in the Jamaican sounds good. I forget what terp the mango is and what is expected from it. My PCKxKC took a sweet mango smell during flower. I loved the tropical nature of it. But, It went away after dry and cure. Good luck.
Hi Sue, I told you I'd come over for a visit! Oh, I see you're going to post on how you make your oil....I'll be front and center for that one! Looking forward to it, thanks in advance....I need to get into the medibles and oil more....you sure are a 5 star pro at that now....you go!
Myrcene is the main terpene in the green pheno of Malawi. You're right about sativas expressing it differently. There's nothing sedative about Malawi unless you smoke enough to stupify yourself. It helps with THC absorbtion from what I've read. Maybe part of the potency is from it.Mango is the smell of Myrcene, which is the terpene responsible for couch lock in what we call indica chemovars. When you're determining whether someone wants a sedative chemovar or a stimulating one, you're really asking "myrcene or non-myrcene?" In sativas myrcene expresses differently because the mix of other terpenes create a different effect, but if you stop and think about it, almost all of the sativas give you a moment early in when you get a little tired. Most of us push past this and move on to the stimulating effects. That brief tiredness, IMO, is the myrcene expressing, right before synergy begins to temper the sedative effects.
It's notable that Carnival never creates this effect in me. I'm looking forward to testing this chemovar out. I'm hoping for something very uplifting.

And since you love your purple buds (who can't help but), I'll leave this picture here.
Peace
Sue do you by any chance (I figure if anyone has it, you do) have a chart with the different terpenes and what they are associated with? Do you also have a chart or breakdown of what the different THC and CBDs are and what they are believed to be effective in treating (x is associated with inflammation, z is associated with seizures etc).
I know I have seen them randomly through out other different peoples journals but I can't remember where I saw them. Thanks in advance hun!!! Hope you are having a wonderful Monday morning!!
Why thank you Shawnee. Good to see you girl.
I'm on my over to the Fresh Harvest Infused thread right now to post the latest update on how I've modified the method to use dried buds, ones dried in the dehydrator or low and slo in the fridge. It keeps getting easier and easier.
What strain us that Sue?When that many of you respond to a photo that strongly I listen. I entered it in the gallery contest. I was pretty proud of that one myself. Hard to believe I can barely see it when I'm taking the shot, isn't it?
Thank you all.
If I win the contest I'll order those CBD Mango Haze seeds CBD Crew helped develop that I've been hankering for.
Sue....everything is looking lovely in your garden hun!!!! Hey, question for you.....do you use back building on your flowers?? Can't remember if you have said so before or not. Congrats on your most recent harvest. I think I'd like to have about a gallon of your oil!!! Brownie town!!! Hahaha
I live in a continuious state of enhanced euphoria. Anyone who truly believes that being high is a detriment and a state of being that promotes a lack of motivation and incompetence isn't paying attention to the real world.
Over the years I’ve found being high 24/7 isn’t the right choice for a lot of people. I don’t really know any of those people anymore. .
Sue.... I have helped in many a garden. I have used back building on the flowers on one plant and not the one next to it (same strain/pheno) and the one that we used the back building technique we actually got about 32 grams more from that plant even though it actually looked a bit smaller in stature. It hasn't worked like that every time but about 7 outta 10 did give us better harvest weights. But usually nothing like the 32 grams on the first experiment. The effects were the same though sooooooo. It DOES work but I don't think it warrants the time spent on it. Now training on the other hand is a must!!! Abuse those limbs!!!! Twist/pull/yank and bend those bad jewels! They will return in kind with lovely flowers!!!!
Good to know Scottay. I'll amend my response to the question accordingly.
I'm still learning to turn that training into consistent harvests in excess of 1 ounce. I'm missing a part of the formula, and I haven't determined what it is yet, but I suspect it's a combination of getting the training down and more light. ' Is there ever enough light for the obsessed cannabis cultivator? Lol!
