SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

I'm looking forward to the new flowering one he's sending, that isn't even on the market yet. :yahoo: They're still working out the configuration for that one.

Good morning everyone.

Just stopping to wish all the men lucky enough to have been Daddy a

:circle-of-love:Happy Father's Day:circle-of-love:
Grab your hugs when you can and load them up today. The world's a better place for your dedication, so live it up on this day set aside to say "We love you Dad!"

I'm off to get in an early walk with my friend, trying to beat the heat. Catch you later. :ciao:
Thanks Sue! My son and I are headed to the water park today!

Sue the Zamdelica x Panama I kept is showing male pods at 1 week from flip.
It's a shame to cull such a nice plant but the space he is taking up can be put to better use.

I see no signs on either of the Panama

Thanks @SweetSue ........

I'll take the Fathers day hugs...

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::love::love::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

A few extra because it is Sunday as well.....

Hope you have a great day outside, even though I feel like I'm melting when out there.

Great report on the visit......:slide: and on the lights.....:thumb:

Sorry to hear that, but at least the Panama came through.

I look for new growth placement in late veg to indicate sex. The females grow the branches right out of the middle of the branch cradle. Like this clone of Zamal x Pan you left with me.

Males shift the growth to the outside so the pollen bags have a better chance of catching the wind.

This specimen also has nice preflower hairs, so I’m pretty sure it’s a girl. I wish you had somewhere to grow him out Hash Hound. Maybe someday we’ll have something to accomodate a male for the pollen.

Drenches became a bit more today. Lol! Isn't that always the way in a perpetual? I decided it was time to check all the clone cuttings for roots, and low and behold both Devil's Carnival cuttings had exploded with them over the last couple days.

The first bag opened revealed copious roots.....

...the second bag held the winner. :battingeyelashes:

She's been transplanted into one of the small pots to get big enough to take the next cutting. The quantum board for the temporary clone box is in shippment from Timber, so she can wait for its arrival down here on the floor with the rest of the cuttings.

She's a strong specimen with hearty roots. It won't take her any time at all.

I turned my attention to this sad-looking Royal Cookies, too long in this small cup.

That's much better.

While I had her out I took a clone cutting. :battingeyelashes:

She joined the line of hopefuls at the foot of the veg shelf. This turned out to work just right for me.

Royal Gorilla and Mendocino Undersog got the benefit of tae left-over aloe water before going back on the shelf. They look more like something I'd be growing now. Unfortunately for them as soon as their clones root they're gone from the garden, unless I have a space open up.

A busier day than anticipated, but satisfying at the end. I hope your day was filled with wonder and loving. :hugs: Time for me to turn into a woman asleep. I'll be back in the morning. :ciao:

Heya Sue, been following, just not talking... NO I AM NOT STALKING ... >LOL> I had a quicky, question that is god get your mind outta the gutter.. When you take your cuts for clones Do you 45 and split, then dip and plant or another combo of said process..??? Also love the clone tents, how do you keep top up, and so airy ??? Green days... Stay cool, gonna top 100 up here today....

Good morning everyone

and you in particular Hacker. :hugs:

I scrape the outer skin on the cutting before I dip it in the rooting hormone. I’ve never subjected one to a split cut, but I do make the cut from the plant on a 45-degree angle to make them easier to insert in the Rapid Rooters.

In time I’ve learned to inflate the bags just enough and I have a particular twist I’ve developed to tie them off.

Here’s one that deflated a bit overnight. Every once in a while you’ll get a bag with a pinprick hole that won’t hold air as well. I’ll demonstrate with her. :battingeyelashes:

Ahhh..... I know it’s gonna be a good day when I start it off with a small tutorial. :slide:

I have a mess of things calling for my attention today. Coffee and conversation will be my only outing. How glad am I that the daughter and I started making coffee at home - and lo and behold it tastes better made by Mom - because going out for coffee on a day when I had to turn the air conditioning on at 6:30 isn’t gonna happen.

After my group gathering at the library I think I’ll settle down and do some writing to fill the overheated hours. I have a good feeling about today’s energy.

Time to grab a chew of cob and jump into the steamy shower before meditation and movement. I’ll be back in a bit to do a little thread surfing and visiting.

Ready to grab the universe in a living embrace and continue this joyful dance we’ve been enjoying? Good to hear. I find the journey to be more fun with companions who share my love of all things cannabis. :battingeyelashes:

Now get out there and make the universe sparkle as only you can.

Have a splendiferous day. :hugs:

Hey, thanks on that... You are always so easy to understand, without making a person feel insignificant... Love that about you.... I will be taking some clones off my outdoor girls, if mother nature doesnt do it for me today, By the end of next week... Probably just Camille, Bt's, and maybe DT.. Gonna have to take a few 6 to 10 inch stems out anyway to open it up for last growth push... Oh funny story, Turns out that Camille is actually a Midnight Haze... Just found out really, didnt pay as much attention as I should have in the beginning... LOL... Anyway Green days Sis, and to all....

Why thank you Hacker. :hugs:

Hey guys....remember my proclaimation that the Spa was out of service? Yeah.....not any longer.

I was doing some studying over at Timber Grow Lights and suddenly realized that I have these seedlings too close to the lights. I let myself overlook the capacity of the COBs.

After doing some measuring I decided that there’s no way I can raise the lights up high enough to leave the plants on the shelf, so the tent got moved to the Spa where it’ll serve as a clone castle and I dropped the shelf.

Then I got to thinking about how stressful it’d be to drop them from 18” to 32” in one fell swoop, so I lifted them to 24” and I’ll drop them down a little bit every day until they’re at 32” and let them ride from there.

This sponsored grow is going to help me understand lighting more. It surprises me how little I’ve learned on the subject over the past few years. Lights come easy to me and I let myself be lazy about the subject.

Not any more. Lol!

It was brutally hot in The Burg today and being on the top floor with tents venting into the room it proved to be a struggle for the air conditioning to keep up.

But we made it and the temps are dropping. :slide: Thankfully we only get a few spells like this during our typical summer. Lights create heat. This dance gets dicey when the sun heats the territory beyond the comfort zone.

HIgh Sue :passitleft: (I know you prefer your bong... it’s the symbolism ;) )

SO nice to see your garden tweaking and tuning going on in the wake of all these new lighting arrivals.

Learning how to use light inside is to be my next learning curve, so i’ll be keeping a close eye here (i always do really). I’m so excited to see your QBs - as I imagine you are too! I’m almost finished building mine :slide: I ordered the last of the components this morning so final build will happen next week sometime I’m guessing. My soil is cooking... my tent is coming... next grow is getting closer :thumb:

How exciting for you Amy. :slide: Doob is starting with the kit too. His soil got mixed yesterday.

Kudos for the qb build. :high-five: That’s an area I’m not going to venture into, but I have the greatest respect for those of you that create your own lights. The closest I came was the CFL cords in my first grow. Lol!

:passitleft: Carnival.... of course. :battingeyelashes:

I forgot to mention, the BIL didn’t lose all of his foot to the ignored infection, just a couple toes and the side of it. The good news is he didn’t die this time. Now that they have him in the hospital they’re noticing all the other problems getting overlooked.

I’ll be singing like there’s no one downstairs for another week, by the sound of it. :battingeyelashes:

Maybe some enterprising social worker’ll take a shine to the idea of finding him a more appropriate residence where he’ll be safer. A girl can dream.

Hi Sue, man I'm so happy for you and all the new lights! You can take lighting off the limiting factors list.

I smoked Carnival cob last night. It's my 1st cob so it's gotta be 10 weeks curing now. I haven't smoked this one in a few weeks. Man is it tasty and fun! It was very energetic, I think it's about ready to go to the lab and get the comparative test done.

Ooooo.....Neiko. That’ll be exciting. It’ll give us something to compare. :slide: My Carnival cobs are in the second month of curing and they get better every time. I haven’t tried one of the Devil’s Carnival in a while. Hmmm....sounds like a good place to start the day.

Good morning everyone

I just checked the weather report and that ridiculously hot day was one of a kind this week, thank goodness. Someday I’ll have a home that has environmentally controlled grow rooms. Lol!

Whoa! Walked away from this two hours ago and got lost in gardening......and cobs.

The Red Diesel cob and canary are finished fermenting.

And I’ve been smoking on the canary.

Pretty damned devestated at the moment and it’s time to dress to go to lunch. Lol! I call BINGO! this morning. Haha!

Wish me luck guys..... and do yourself a favor by learning to cob. Essentially what we’ve learned to do is have our buds decarbed and ready to send you into space within the span of two weeks.

Not simply dry and beginning to cure. Fermentation appears to decarb at a blistering rate and the cobs are euphoric from the end of fermentation, only increasing in pleasing effect as they continue to age.

Guys, we’ve stumbled onto something wonderful with cobs. Give it a try with your best sativa. The end result will surprise you. I’m certain of it.

Hey....gotta run. You know I adore you right? Good. I wouldn’t want you to forget. :kisstwo:

I want that emoticon returned to the community. And this one  , which often fits the bill like no other emoticon available at the time.

AND OUR BLOGS! PLEASE. Thank you.

Alright, this time I’m going. :ciao:

I really hate losing the information in my blog. Had my STS recipe over there. :(
It's been months since anything new has been discussed
