SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

One of the things that keeps coming out of my mouth is that we need to regulate cannabis with the same vigilance we do something else in the plant kingdom just as dangerous.....like garlic.

Coffee can kill you dead. :bongrip:

It was a matter of pride to me Hacker. The daughter tried to help and I was insistent that I’d be capable of pulling it off alone, that it was part of my message on how easy Dan and his talented crew made them to hang.

To be honest, once I had everything worked out both lights went up in less than a minute each. Lol! They’re heavy, in that they’re made of quality materials that have weight, but not so heavy that a fit 64-yr old woman couldn’t handle them.

I’m a practitioner of Callanetics. My core is stronger than that of most people I talk to :battingeyelashes:

.... Wish they had the " blowing you a respectful kiss " emoticon on here LMAO... Green days Sis... and to all

Sitting on the mat chewing up 0.4 grams of Carnival cob with more to smoke for an early lift while the rest makes its way to the liver

So oral COB dose is definitely ~half of a smoked one? Want to make sure my introductory experience isn't lacking due to not hitting the proper dosage.

Do you suppose it might be weight-dependent at all? I'm pretty lightweight (I have gained back up to 146 pounds after the ol' Winter diet - but that's still ~26 pounds less than I prefer) and still have to be careful not to try to stand up too quickly (get "red/black dot vision," lol, although some of that is heart and blood pressure instead of nutritional. But I want to share with an old friend, and he'd make two of me. Not literally, but - well, you've seen him (can you believe he has to look UP at his son?).

*contented cob-induced sigh*

I'm looking for a cob-induced giggle. A cob-induced "Hey, I can use my left arm without crying!!!" wouldn't go unappreciated, either, lol (or just an "I can use my left arm," a man learns to not expect too much...).

Someone explain to me again how dangerous cannabis is?

Oh, it's SOOOOO dangerous... If you consume enough of it, and often enough... you shall surely end up dying - of old age!

Dangerous enough that I wouldn't want to travel across Texas with a QP on the seat beside me  .

Speaking of driving, while I rarely do so now, I used to do an awful lot of it. For about a year-and-a-half stretch, I was changing oil every five or six weeks (3,000 mile per). States are scrambling to come up with "DUI" type procedures for cannabis. As one might guess, I smoked as much cannabis behind the wheel over the years as some people smoked when NOT driving. Have totaled 11 vehicles <WHOOPS>.

I was high during ONE of those collisions (got T-boned... by a drunk).

Driving while... smiling should not be a crime. It should be a requirement!

My workmate talked about a c02 bottle he had for some old welder. That's probably more in the region what would cover a grow right?

Right. Good-sized tank ought to last you a grow or two if you run a small, sealed(*) grow. Tank, regulator, and a calculator (monitor would be much better ;) ) . Cart your tank to the nearest welding-supply house (etc.) couple times per year to get it filled.

(*)Much easier with air-cooled HIDs, lol - but you could get something like an Amare Technology SolarPRO900IC (900 watts) or a Johnson Grow Lights LED Maximizer (630 watts), both of which have flanges for connecting to ventilation ducts/fans. About $2,000US each, last time I checked, lol. Or there might be others of that nature, IDK; that's already twice as many as I was aware of previously  .

Whoa! I learned a lot more from that brief exchange TS.

I'd imagine so - he owns a lighting company, after all.

You’ve been studying the subject much longer and with a deeper understanding than I ever applied.

I don't know about that. Besides, you might have a few years on me... but I've been in Grumpy Old Fart for a LONG time (all my life, practically). One looses something rather important, I think, that sense of... well, childlike glee, when one doesn't know that the limits of reality are NOT the same as the limits of one's own imagination. Scar tissue isn't very resilient, you might say.

Plus, experimentation costs money. Money for materials, money for untested products, money for... "Oh, fook, I thought I'd still have a harvest, but I seem to have killed the other half of the crop this time" moments, et cetera.

Most of my experiments these days are of the "thought experiment" variety. Cheap - but no real way to determine whether or not my theories are correct. My time would be better spent skimming the posts of people like Icemud.

Dan and I didn’t have that much time.

There's never enough.

I’ll stop in to see what’s up with gramma. I’d hate to see her stop posting.

Thanks. There's only so much troubleshooting a person can do sight-unseen. If it was Mom, I'd simply assume temporary control of the account AND her email account, and deal with the issue, but...

And I just can't seem to ape the whole positivity thing. People who really know me either assume (often correctly ;) ) sarcasm or start trying to figure out the projected blast radius, probably. Would be much more effective, methinks, coming from one who is that way naturally (and, from what I can see, more or less constantly).

.... Wish they had the " blowing you a respectful kiss " emoticon on here LMAO.

Is there a minimum resolution/size to the image upload code? If not, maybe you could upload your own. Have to do the "insert image link" trick to get around the footer display, but it might work.

, I'd simply assume temporary control of the account AND her email account, and deal with the issue, but...
It wouldn’t help TS - it’s just that the new system is retarded concerning how email notifications are handled. What people are experiencing, with no or intermittent (seemingly random) notifications is just the system ‘working’ how it’s ‘supposed’ to apparently. It’s just that how it’s supposed to doesn’t seem to be helpful for anyone who used to rely on it. Quite a bit of behind the scenes to-ing and fro-ing went on around the issue a few months ago using member accounts that were having the same probs as AK, and hadn’t been tampered with (no troubleshooting efforts etc.), and it was deemed that the behaviour was normal. That’s how I discovered the way the new emails system functions - have posted on this multiple times, just briefly again over at AK’s (not tapping it out again!).

:Namaste:

Yes I thought of this. That can't allow any(?) extraction from the grow space right, won't be much use then. Suppose you cut the extraction for say 20-30 min couple of times when light is on and add the co2 during this time. Would the plants have time enough to make any use of it during this time or is it not?

Coffee can kill you dead. :bongrip:

Coffee..... "It's good for you." " It's bad for you." "No, wait! We were wrong. Three cups a day will heal your wounded liver."

Coffee is a great example of how little we understand the inner workings of the human body.

Don't mind if I do. :bongrip:

I read what you posted there. I'll refrain from posting (more of) my thoughts on all that here. Might have to ruin my other arm in order to do so, lol, but...

No profit in it (take that however you like, it was just quicker to type four words than a paragraph  ).

If you want to run supplemental CO₂, just buy an air conditioner, lol. Adding significant amounts - and the significant amounts of LIGHT that you'd need in order to take advantage of it - means your plants will thrive at a higher temperature range anyway. Just adding supplemental CO₂ without having sufficient light or sufficient temperature won't cause any noticeable changes to anything other than your wallet.

 Coffee..... "It's good for you." " It's bad for you." "No, wait! We were wrong. Three cups a day will heal your wounded liver."

I was sort of waiting on someone to post a joke about not standing underneath falling pallets at supermarkets.

Coffee is a great example of how little we understand the inner workings of the human body.

Nah. Well, YES, obviously, but it's also a good example of how, much of the time, it's not the substance that's at fault but, instead, the dipsh!t consumer who refuses to use the common sense that the Lord gave them.

People can OD on water, and many have died from doing so, over the years - which is sad, I suppose. On the other hand, would you REALLY want your daughter breeding with someone who does such things, only to be kept alive by modern medicine and the efforts of others, lofl? I mean... You could probably save on Christmas presents, since such a child would probably be happy to play with its own feces (well into adulthood  ) . But... You know... I could think of a whole slew of downsides ;) .

Warning labels on the doors of coffee shops in California now, I've read. People suing businesses based on estimates of the number of cups of coffee they've sold during the past several years - and some of those business are (/have) caving in on this! 1,100+ years of Homo sapiens using the bean and it's only now, apparently, that a bunch of people figure the species is stupid enough that we have to be told not to consume too much of it.

Doomed, I say, DOOMED! Someone really needs to start the largest GoFundMe account, ever, in order to create the technology/etc. it would take to round up all the cetaceans and send them to Europa or something. They deserve better than having to live on the same planet with us.

Once I almost OD'd on Garlic ...

Aww, did the bigger kids put too much in the joint they sold you, lol?

(Just kidding!)

BtW, there was a strain offered by The Seed Bank back in the day before it evolved into Sensi Seeds called Garlic Bud. Real stinky Afghani indica, if I remember correctly.

Great thx. That answer is sufficient for me. Now I know! :)

Great visit today with ya Sue.

Lu was happy to tag along of course. We smoked some Malawi cob this evening and she passed out in about 15 minutes.
Thanks for all the to go's also.

Those new Timber lights are looking awesome guys

How the new lights treating them @SweetSue bet you are running your tents open now just sitting watching them grow. :ganjamon:

The plants and I are loving the new lights, thank you CraZys. :battingeyelashes: As he just shared, Hash Hound and his lady love stopped to admire. He admired, she visited. Not a grower. Lol! We turn into such garden nerds when we come together with another cannabis cultivator.

I'm looking forward to replacing the T-5s and the GROWant 480 with quantum boards. :slide:

Evening Hash Hound. That was a delightful visit. :hugs: She doesn't accompany you often enough.

So the Malawi knocked her out? Lol! That wasn't what we were expecting. Have her try it in the morning sometime.

I was pretty stoked that she enjoyed the Devil's Carnival so much. :slide: It's been well-recieved by just about everyone who's tried it. Guess I'll have to keep it going. Lol!

I'm getting up early to hit the river path at 8 AM with my friend, so I'm calling it an early night. I started the day with cob, which wears me out anyway. I'll see you all in the morning. :ciao:

Haha. I bet you do... Love to have a grower to share everything with IRL. Those quantum boards are going to rock them! I love my chilled pucks so much. It's the same chips as the qbs and with some far red as well for flower initiation.

But @PurpleGunRack have made me interested in a new series of leds Samsung releasing soon. The inFlux. o_O:smokin2:

I'm looking forward to the new flowering one he's sending, that isn't even on the market yet. :yahoo: They're still working out the configuration for that one.

Good morning everyone.

Just stopping to wish all the men lucky enough to have been Daddy a

:circle-of-love:Happy Father's Day:circle-of-love:
Grab your hugs when you can and load them up today. The world's a better place for your dedication, so live it up on this day set aside to say "We love you Dad!"

I'm off to get in an early walk with my friend, trying to beat the heat. Catch you later. :ciao:
