SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Great to have the info Sue, must be some relief. :thumb:

stumbled into the concept of time-restricted eating
Haha! That’s a version of the intermittent fasting a few of us have been raving to you about for a while! Just under a different name. It will encourage states of ketosis in the body. Very powerful for healing. I’ve been wondering, and apologies if I’m overstepping a line here (and perhaps you’re already there): even tho the brownies are important for the mental health stability, a daily brownie might not be compatible with healing the liver condition.

Great news in getting some clear info to work from.

:Namaste:

Knowing I have the anchor of this family behind me makes it easier to get through. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

:hugs: You do Sue :hugs:

So glad she can change her lifestyle and hence her health. Cheering for her success!

Peace
Keith

You should know I don't have any lines to cross. Lol! I don't think one brownie in the daily intake will make all that much difference, and I'm getting ready to develop the recipe using dates instead of sugar. That brownie dose hits marks nothing else will for both of us :battingeyelashes:

I was just headed over to your lounge to laugh about the fact that it took this to get me to look more closely at the intermittent fasting. Lol! While I was sitting there in the office reading about it I was chuckling because I could feel you smiling. :circle-of-love:

I'm glad too Keith. It's been a marvelous year of healing for her. She'd just come to the point where she was making the changes anyway, and she's already down 26 pounds over the last six months. On the right track.

And thank you. This family is my strength. :hugs:  :hugs:

Heya Sueeee!!!! Let me just say that I grew up a fat kid. Two years ago I was approximately 460 pounds. I'm only 5'9" ...... Shit.... I was bigger round than I am tall. Once you get to a certain size your body kicks out extra hormones to make your body more efficient at packing on weight. I had gastric surgery (as I'd lost 120+ pounds previously & gained plus some back) when I got in the frame of mind I committed to it. I can honestly say that cannabis helped save my life. Physically definitely. But moreso MENTALLY. It's done wonders for me. I believe your daughter (& her mate) can do this. It takes dedication to eat right and move the body somehow. (Walk/swim/bike/etc) I weigh 205 right now. Still have a little to go myself. Tell your daughter from Scottay that I KNOWW she can do this. She has a great mum & good support from you. Sooooooo everybody.....my rambling is over. Be kind to each other. Smile at someone. Might be the only kindness they see. Peacceeee :rollit::volcano-smiley:

That is great...... The world today is so focused on the bad things, the good things rarely come to the front.

Good for you, and I hope you share it everytime you hear of someone struggling. Your success can help others find success too.

Thanks for sharing a part of your life, which can be difficult to talk about. :thanks:

I'll be sure to pass that wonderful message on. :battingeyelashes: Good job buckaroo! :high-five:

Hi Sue
Keep on rockin on. My good vibes are on their way.:peace:

Thank you keltic. I feel them. :hugs:

Good morning everyone

Getting ready to go to the senior center for lunch. I started my fasting program last night and this is my first food other than the cob I just chewed since 7:30 last night. I'm going to do my best from now on to contain my eating to within prescribed hours and let my body find its way back to its healthier, natural rhythms.

As I was getting dressed the Candy Cane called me to grab my loupe. Stick a fork in this one, she's done. :battingeyelashes:

We've got a fair amount of amber going on, which is what the daughter prefers.

She comes down in the morning. :battingeyelashes: I'll be back later with the weekly update of my dwindling garden. In the meantime you can all continue practicing joy with deliberation, not because it'll make great and wonderful things appear in your experience, just because it feels good. Then, because you're feeling so good the universe brings you more to feel good about.

I don't know about you, but this concept just tickles me to death. :slide:

Until later my friends. :ciao:

Hey..... Something new I learned from the liver specialist. They have no explaination yet as to why this works, but 2-3 brewed cups of coffee a day will clean out your liver. Try to limit sugar and creamer. :battingeyelashes:

On that delicious note I'm off to have my coffee with my senior friends. :battingeyelashes:

I guess I'm golden then. Drink a pot black each day.:bongrip:

Fabulous macro shots of Candy! :yummy:

...
For if and when times get tough between eats. Drink hot/warm water with fresh lemon, or salty water using a good quality rock salt, from the sea preferably, but inland rock salt will do in a pinch ;). I find I have to get the salt just right or it’s not pleasant, but when it’s in the sweet spot it’s actually very satisfying and eases the hunger wobblies! I end up with about a 1/4-1/2teasp per about 6ounces of water. Saltier than the ocean, but only just. Just sip on it slowly.

You can get quite euphoric from ketosis so look out for that!

Seriously though, you can also experience something ‘they’ call keto-flu, where you get flu-like symptoms for a short while. They pass, it’s the immune function in flux (not the technical term for it!). So don’t be alarmed if that happens, just rest. :thumb:

Hope it goes great for you and the daughter Sue!

:Namaste:

So very true, in fact if a person truly adheres to a low carb diet, it almost always occurs. Upside is after the symptoms abate, people report feeling euphoric and energetic for weeks. When I contracted liver disease (thanks Big Pharma) my new diet made me feel really awful for about a week, full on ill like the flu. BUT 10 days into it my health and life started changing drastically for the better. The hardest part for me was to stop eating bread, I frickin' love bread and butter, but I love life even more than bread hence the motivation to refrain.

Peace
Keith

Good looking plants there Sue.

GL and Keepem Green

I'm about to do the update Woody. Pictures of Black D.O.G. are stunning. I can't see how she's gonna go 10 weeks though.

I'll keep all this in mind, and thank you - and you too Amy - for bringing it all to my attention. The daughter's actually excited about the changes, and so am I. I'm a Saggitarrian woman, we're always looking for some way to shine a little brighter. Lol!

You guys have me thinking about buying coffee and having some at home. Lately all my coffee - and it's been a substantial amount - is away from home.

On second thought, it's working, don't change it. :battingeyelashes:

Weekly Update: The entire garden :slide:

Numbers are down enough that this won't take any time at all. :battingeyelashes:

The veg shelf

Looks empty.....and leaves me feeling incredibly nervous. Lol! Both girls are drinking at the top level for veg nutrients, 12 ml of Parts A & B with 4 ml of Energy for every gallon of water used.

We now know this isn't a Lemon Haze, which was a relief to me because I couldn't figure out why it looks nothing like a haze. It's a sativa-leaning pheno of Black D.O.G. That made my ears perk up. The daughter says she'll have to try it at least once. A woman after her mother's heart :battingeyelashes:

I'd expected to get these two flipped before I go, but looking at them today I don't think that's realistic. No way will this plant be ready in less than two weeks.

Which is another way of saying this is going to be one beautiful plant, once she gets herself established. Don't be fooled by her uncultured appearance. I get the feeling she has a plan. Lol!

Given more lead time I'd have snipped this top and cloned it, and I may do that when I get back. It might be the only way to contain her.

Devil's Carnival 1.7 is slowly making her way around the perimeter. By the time I leave she'll have permission to go verticle. By the time I get back she may be uncontrollable. I may have to trim her back before I run off to the beach.

Once she gets going there's no stopping her.

The rootball may be gone, but it's not in the way, and I'll keep watering until I get tired of doing so. Won't we all be surprised if it one day sprouted growth? Lol!

The tents

Tent # 1

Jamaican 1.3 will be finishing up before the trip, probably the day right before. Lol! It's gonna be a busy couple days. She had an Energy drench on Monday, due for a TransWater tomorrow. I kinda smashed her back in the corner to make room for Black D.O.G., didn't I?

The thrips might not be pretty, but they're not going to set anyone back enough to swoop in and fight them off.

She certainly is loading up the frosting, isn't she? :slide:

She has healthy-looking colas. You can see here her buds are going dark. She's getting close. :yahoo:

Black D.O.G is absolutely stunning! Every day ramps up the excitement with more color popping up. Her last drench was a TransWater on the 2nd.

And f-r-o-s-t-y!

She's completely cloudy, which means I can take her at any time and she'd meet the need for wuick oil, but we have another 11 days before its critical. The buds in the fridge need time to get out of the way. Lol!

What a beauty. Thank you @Jgrowlove for this luscious specimen. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Look at how tightly she packed them in!

Now just keep getting thicker for the next ten days and make me and the daughter really happy.

Tent #2

Candy Cane already had her swan song earlier today, but I can't overlook her tonight, can I? Just a couple to keep you going :battingeyelashes:

The daughter's been out of Candy Cane for a little while. Today she looked longingly at me and asked "Can you make me a pan of Candy Cane brownies before you leave?" How do you say no to that? The buds'll be drying low and slo, and that's enough time to get a batch of oil made. I can always speed dry some in the dehydrator when it gets closer. May do two batches so there's no chance of her running out if I get held up visiting in AZ

Tent # 3

Red Diesel is looking all prim and proper all by herself in here. Two days ago she had a TransWater drench and her next will be her first of the two CAT drenches. The daughter won't have any problem keeping her going while I play out west.

This girl's turning into an impressive specimen herself, stacking the buds in nice and tight. She should be a real stunner by the time I return.

She won't disappoint, I'm certain of it.

With that sweet bud shot the nickle tour comes to its weekly close. I thank you kindly for stopping, and I hope it brought you a measure of the joy it brings me to show them off to growers who understand the attachment.

I'm gonna get so high on the last of my Carnival buds that I won't believe it. :cheesygrinsmiley: See you in a bit. :ciao:

10? I'm doing mine 9 and they are 100% done. Hope you like it. I have heard acouple people that are going it from seed and it seems to have acouple phenos. And she is a cool weather plant. I think I'm going to try it again outdoors this year. I let the one I did last year get too big and I didn't want to play with a plant that big. So I try to keepem Shorter this time.

The one in flower is the indica-leaning pheno. The one in veg is a sativa-leaning pheno. Jgrow saw to it that I had one of each, even if it was an accident.

Thanks for the insights Woody. I love the smell. This is the first one I grew with this strong a blueberry presence. She's overwhelming when you brush against her.
