SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Last, but not least.....

Weekly Update: The Tents - Friday, February 9, 2018

Tent #1

Jamaican 1.1 (Day 139, flip + 63) She's accelerating necrosis. I've been drenching her every two to three days, and she's drinking as fast as I can get it to her. Today it was an Energy, the drench I was planning to finish her on. The way the schedule looks we're about two weeks until she'll be to the Energy again, so I may take her the beginning of next week.

Doc suggested ending on Energy, but Neiko once recommended finishing the fruity chemovars on a Transplant, which I've done before to great effect, so maybe I'll let her buy a few more days. The lowest buds haven't gone purple yet.

The ones just above them are turning now.

Tent # 3

Carnival 4.6 (Day 117, flip + 33) Monday the earth worm castings came in and I finished her Recharge topdressing and gave her the first CAT drench. She was pleased, and she shows it. :slide:

I'm feeling good about her prospects. She's a healthy and vibrant specimen.

The whole plant prays. Lol!

Hairs have begun to turn. From here it gets really exciting for me. she hasn't developed much fragrance yet. That'll come in the next week or so.

Tent # 2

This tent keeps a pretty consistent 80 - 82 degrees under the Timber Citizen COBs, and humidity as held at around 50% all along. Both occupants got Brixed on Sumday.

Royal Gorilla (Day 42, flip + 14) Next drench she'll get a Recharge topdressing. She burst into bloom about two days ago and got an Energy drench today, right after these pictures were taken.

CBD Critical Cure 3 (Day 96, flip + 29) About halfway through her bloom and smelling delicious. This girl is a good example of why I grow with Doc's kit. In the peak of health and still another month to go. Two days ago she had her second CAT drench.

I love the differences between the leaves

Well ladies and gentlemen, we've finally come to the end of the nickle tour. Did everyone make it through? Lol! I had fun putting it together, and I hope you found it worth the stroll. It wore me out, to be honest, do I'm gonna take a couple more hits of this Blue Dream and head to bed for a good night's sleep.

Husks are in. WooHoo!

Tomorrow I study and prepare for harvest. By Wednesday I'll be making my first cobs.

:yahoo: :slide: :yahoo:

Are you ready to make your own? :battingeyelashes: It's gonna be fun.

I know you’ll like Blue Dream Amy. I was just telling the daughter today I’m about ready to start another one.
Hey Sue! Hope things are well!

Just started my first Blue Dream a month or so ago and I love that plant! Such amazing structure and a fantastic grower! Hoping the smoke turns out as nice as I hope it will be!

I'll look forward to your smoke report after harvest Van. This is a chemovar that never fails to please.

Looks like that ship has sailed LOL!

But Ooh - more evidence in favour of Blue Dream. It’s definitely the next seed I’m planting. Got to get one or two though. Is there a particular breeder you can recommend for it?
I am growing the version from 420....very impressed for sure for a 30 day old plant

Sitting here thinking about the sheer volume of what I post on this journal alone. I doubt there’s another member that puts this much out on a grow journal, and I’ve done this from the beginning, haven’t I Graytail? :laughtwo:

As the other threads kept building in number I’m sure many of you thought my presence in my main room would slow down. Lol! Silly humans.

I’ll be honest and admit I don’t know where the energy comes from, but the longer I’m here the greater the output. Having members dedicated to following along always surprises me. I put out a lot. Lol!

That makes me appreciate those of you that do stop. Members float in and out over time, and never concerns me. It’s not like we lose touch. I’m everywhere. :hugs: The crowd changes here periodically. It keeps the interest levels up, doesn’t it?

I just wanted to say how happy I am to know you. I’m calling it a night now.

:circle-of-love:

Its an absolutely gorgeous plant....I was kind of suffering planters remorse (had Humboldts version as well but Asesino and Crashdog are growing them so I wanted to be a bit different) but that has changed as she has grown. Already planning on taking a couple clones from her for some S1s.

Hey Van - I’ve been meaning to drop back over to yours for aaaages. My own journal, taking care of my grow and learning about the oil making really took over things for a while and I’ve only just recently started getting around to other rooms again (apart from Sue’s - I’m nearly always here ;) ). It’s been on my list to get back to yours - I used to hang out there quite a bit when I was first here. A Blue Dream grow will do the trick :slide:. Out approach is a bit similar (own soil mix, organics etc.) so there’ll be a lot for me to learn from your grow of it. When (approximately) did you drop the seed? Just saw - You’re at day 29 now...

feb 2nd......up on the 5th.

Its in the Perpetual grow journal, not the Nukehead sponsored grow.

Looks like you made a good choice! I've grown BD from HSO 2 times now and both hermied. Smoke was good but I would like to try again.

I've grown BD twice also, has to be in my top 5 strains. Can't wait to run it again.

Good morning everyone

I have such a delicious selection of choices, Carnival, Blue Dream, Dinachem, Devil's Carnival...... I find myself reaching for the Blue Dream more and more. I'm not certain why yet, but it's definately become a staple. What I'm finding is that I prefer my brownies made with Carnival in the same way the daughter prefers hers made with Candy Cane. It used to be that Carnival was what I automatically reached for when I was planning to smoke, but that's changed to include Blue Dream more often than not.

I have been enjoying the Dinachem quite a bit lately. :battingeyelashes:

See? This is why we desire the freedom to grow unrestricted. The current laws are similar to the government telling us we may grow tomatoes, but only these two chosen types and no other. They ignore the individual expression that is cannabis. Shoot....some of us have developed completely unique chemovars that respond to our ECS in particular.

I've been talking to the guys over on Tangwena's thread and it appears we'll need to construct some sort of sweat box for the initial step. There needs to be a control of temp at around 104 degrees F for the first 24-48 hours. repuk encouraged me to ask for particulars, and I'm waiting on his response.

In the meantime, anyone have any ideas on creating such a space? I've been told a heating pad wrapped in towels with the box holding the cobs protected from direct contact will work in a pinch. That member said he hit the target temp within 24 hours. This is a method I know I'll expand on as I go, and honestly believe the majority of my private stash will go to. I'd prefer to do it with commitment from the start.

Good grief, this'll be so much fun! :slide: Waiting the three months for the proper cure will be the hardest part. Lol! At least I'll get a taste at the end of the week or so of fermentation.

Tangwena suggests talking sweetly to the plant before you cob her and holding loving expectations as you monitor the cure. The eyes and nose will be your guide. I swim in an atmosphere of joy. This is right up my alley.

Not just joy, my friends. Deliberate joy. This meeting of the minds over the technique of making cannabis into something more is the universe orchestrating all that is to bring my dream to its natural manifestation. I held the desire without doubt, continuing to stay open to curing methods that potentiate buds, and one day I turned around and JustMeds was standing there with my answer.

Because when you live with joyful expectation the universe responds with things for you to be joyful about. Isn't it nice the way that works? My joy is yours. We're gonna have so much fun with this. :circle-of-love:

It's difficult to maintain the train of thought when the composition function is running light years behind my flying fingers. Lol!

Can’t wait for the smoke report on the final Malawi cob cure.

Pennywise, when are you going to give it a try? It doesn’t have to be Malawi, just quality buds with around 80% RH going in.
