SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Neiko, I’ll be sure to post a link to the thread on your journal. His is gonna be so much fun. :slide: Tangwena describes the high as “insight and clarity,” something he’s never had with the way we typically dry and cure. It’s the buzz I’ve been looking for. WooHoo!

I suspect you're correct about using it for cobbing. I also should have been more clear in my wording, space saver has a mason jar attachment. Would be great so you can vac up your curing buds or really just about anything that fits in a mason jar. And reusable which is my favorite part.
If a space saver wasn't so pricey in my part of the world I'd have one for sure! I'm interested to see what new projects you try with it.

That’s what this hose is for RR. I haven’t priced the jars yet, but I can sense them in my future. Lol!

There was another member playing with vacuum curing, last year I believe, but for the life of me I can’t temember who it was. Maybe I’ll entice her out with the new thread. By now she’s got to be smoking better than we have.

Do you need special jars to vacuum seal? I just use regular mason jars with the normal canning lids. I have the foodsaver jar attachments and a handheld pump, so I can only do jars and their special containers. I read that if you don’t steam seal the lids then you can vacuum seal them over and over, which I do.

I don’t know about this cob cure thing, seems counterintuitive to me. That’s what’s so great about this site, I don’t have to try it to find out if it works.

I think you need special lids, but I'm not certain. The system I bought has plastic containers, and I prefer to store long term in glass. However, Tangwena says he has cobs he vac sealed years ago that are still good, and I believe part of that may be because they're so snug in the bag.

It's a fermentation process Doob, that transforms good bud into ceremonial-quality bud. He's an Africa native and this method comes very close to what he grew up appreciating. He cures some in jars, after air drying too. There's only so much time you can spend losing days to a soaring, introspective and highly motivating high. I may prove that wrong. Lol! Somehow I don't think my tolerance levels match a man who's been using cobs for over 30 years. :laughtwo:

Every time I read him laughing about losing time to his buzz my heart beats a little faster.

Good morning everyone

For some reason, when composing on the iPhone, the curser jumps right out of the box when I try to implement any special effects from the bar. Anyone else having that concern?

Anyway....:battingeyelashes: Before I head out for my lunch at the senior center I wanted to stop and just spread some love.

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

And drop some on-topic joy. :cheesygrinsmiley: I was taking update pictures and found a bud from Dinachem that I forgot all about. Lol!

I’ll have that now for my wake ‘n bake. :slide: Gotta get going here.

The Jamaican, she is approaching the harvest window. I spotted amber just beginning.

I’ll finish her after her next Growth Energy drench, probably next week. I have a couple plants dying to get into her slot under the lights.

I’ll be back later. Be joyful my friends. :ciao:

It's been doing the same for me as well.

Amadeus ..... :hugs:  :hugs:,

:hugs:

Just because. Hope your morning is well Sue and others.

Like we ever need a reason. Lol! I see your morning is going well. Oops! afternoon. I'm waiting on the daughter. We're taking a walk to the store and stopping for coffee on our way back. Hopefully my husks will be in by then and I can get this new thread started, after updates.

I'm having a fun day. Hard not to when you play with the universe the way I do. :slide:

Just for information, I'm in the central time zone. In an unfriendly state towards cannabis. The heart of conservatism.

You are closer than I thought....

You are closer than I thought....

I was thinking Pennsylvania is as conservative as they come, in our progressive sort of way. Lol! We’re an enigma state, liberal on the edges and conservative everywhere else. Gerrymandering is an art form here too, unfortunately, but one being battled out in our court system.

The daughter and I decided we were making medicine, so why not treat it as such.

It increased the price dramatically, but it’s actual food the body can get use out of, so its worth it.

Well, to give a perspective, Jeff Sessions is from here...... That should give you an idea of how bad it is.

I guess the term "comfort food" has a new meaning....

You poor soul. :hugs::hugs::hugs:
:hugs: Thanks. I'll get through it. This place will probably be the last place on earth for legalization/decriminalization.

We will make it though.....

Try as they might, that cat's not going back into the box. Lol!

Let's take a stroll through the garden, shall we?

Weekly Update: Clone Cuttings and Veg Shelf - Friday, February 9, 2018

I'm starting to lose clones at a rapid rate. These two are obviously done. Thankfully I have one more Carnival seed, so I'm good. :slide:

Down to one CBD Critical Cure cutting. Looking ragged,

but growing roots.

I'll leave her for another three days and pot her up in soil.

I have one more Jamaican cutting rooted, so I'll likely get that in soil as well, though it's not as critical. I still have two more in veg.

The Veg Shelf

Jamaican 1.3 (Day 38) Brixed on Sunday and a Growth Energy drench two days ago, she's beginning to look interesting. I've trained part of her around the pot, which is developing into a shape I may be able to pin down in her finish pot, and let go verticle from there.

She looks cooperative, at least for the moment. Lol!

Black DOG (Day 41) This is one sad-looking plant. Brixed on Sunday and the recipient of a TransWater drench two days back, she's just trying her best to hang in there until the Jamaican comes down. That may be next week. :battingeyelashes:

When I let her go she's gonna fill the tent. Lol! There won't be room for Red Diesel.

Red Diesel (Day 117) She also enjoyed a Brix foliar on SundY and a TransWater drench on Wednesday. I'm figuring two weeks and I'll go ahead and flip her. She'll be huge by then. :battingeyelashes:

The undisputed star of this shelf is Jamaican 1.4 (Day 35) I mean, look at her go! She's on the holding pattern for veg, 12 ml of Parts A & B with 4 ml of Energy for every gallon of water used.

You see she got poles. :battingeyelashes: It turned out to be a brilliant idea.

I'm mighty impressed with how this chemovar performs in hempy. This is looking like the way to grow her.

She'll be flipped on Sunday. By then she'll have recovered from this little bit of stress.

Back in a few with more. :ciao:

Weekly Update: The Spa - Friday, February 9, 2018

The Solo Cup Girls are impressing the hell out of me. Devil's Carnival turns out to be an excellent candidate for the solo cup grow. I water them twice a day. Lol!

Devil's Carnival 1.6 (Day 58, flip + 14) Today was her last drink of entry-level bloom nutes - 14 ml Parts A & B with 1 ml of Energy for every gallon of water used. She's doing so much better than I'd envisioned.

Jamaican 1.2 (Day 46, flip + 26) Drinking 15 ml of Parts A & B with 9 ml of Bulk in my attempt to keep from burning her. Feistiness is building quickly. :yaho is:

CBD Critical Cure 2.8 (Day 57, flip + 22) One step behind Jamaican 1.2, she gets 14 ml Parts A & B with 8 ml of Bulk per gallon of water used. So far she's right on the consistent track. I'm feeling really comfortable growing this chemovar now.

Malawi 1.2 (Day 130, flip + 80) I've been flushing her every morning since last week. The runoff is almost clear now. She comes down on Sunday. When I take the restraints away she's gonna fall completely over. Lol! I may take her down one branch at a time.

Dripping in oils.

And still growing like mad.

She's falling all over the place. It'll be a relief to get her down.

One last look back at the lusciousness. :slide:

Next up, the tiny closet. :ciao:

Weekly Update: The Tiny Closet - Friday, February 9, 2018

We're a little more crowded, arent were?

Devil's Carnival 1.5 (Day 67, flip + 2) Both she and her companion hempy, Jamaican 1.5 are drinking the entry-level bloom nutes - 14 ml Parts A & B with 1 ml of Energy per gallon of water. Settling in nicely. The cup is 44 ounces.

Devil's Carnival 1.3 (Day 71, flip + 14) She had a Brix foliar on Monday, as did Candy Cane 4, the other soil resident of the closet. Today she had a Transplant drench, by mistake. I got her and the Jamaican in late flower mixed up and gave them each other's drench. It shouldn't make any difference in the end. In my experience, when I make a mistake like this there turns out to be a very good reason.

Next drench she'll get her Recharge topdressing.

Candy Cane 4 (Day 71, flip + 9) Aside from the Brix on Sunday she's been quiet. I'll probably give her the next drench on Sunday. She may be dry enough by then.

Jamaican 1.5 (Day 31, flip + 2) I had to cinch her up to get her to fit the space, but she's playing along like she's ok with it. I'm loving the look of these leaves.

On last look back.

One more to go. :yahoo:
