SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Good morning everyone

Slept like a baby. :cheesygrinsmiley: Time to get on with another playful day. I just love waking up with a grin and the intention to engage the universe in play. I encourage you to give this deliberate waking thing a try. Stick with it and it'll change the way your life is going, and the changes are all good. :battingeyelashes:

The girls wanted to say hello.

She'll come down this week, for sure. Haven't checked trichomes yet, but she certainly smells like she's ready. :laughtwo:

Look at UD go! :slide: Almost ready for her topping.

IMG_68245.JPG

DDA6 is still holding on, but flushing cloudy now, so she comes down tomorrow, with or without the pressure cooker.

The promise of chocolate mintiness in my future. :cheesygrinsmiley: The BIL is super excited to try this one. :laughtwo:

May your day kick off with an abundance of joy and continue on that trajectory until you fall into bed tonight. Makes for a really sweet Sunday, or any day, for that matter. I have a coupon for a free soup and salad bar at my favorite restaurant, a gift from a friend, so I'll be heading down for dinner. That makes for a hearty meal loaded with leafy greens, something I never keep on hand here because I end up throwing most of it out. I have no worms to feed that stuff to anymore and I'm too inconsistent a cook since Dale died. It's easier to go out for a big salad meal.

Ok I'm done for now. Time for breakfast and some dancing around the kitchen. Maybe I'll jazz it up and make some coffee. Haven't done that since the infected salivary gland.

It's your turn. Get out there now and spread that joy I know you're feeling. :battingeyelashes:

Good Morning SweetSue,

Just wanted to send a big hug and to say that your latest results are stunning. Been following your journal quietly from the sidelines. Thank you for all you do for the community, and your patients.

Your plants make the lights look good.

Take care,
Dan

Ahhhh Dan, my lighting hero. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

I believe it's a dance of joy between the plants and these luscious lumens shining down upon them. You've transformed my grow Dan, and I and my patients are forever endebted to you. I've never grown so many healthy plants at one time. In the past there were always stragglers. That doesn't happen anymore. I now have this sweet flow going on.

I took the time to rearrange the veg shelf to get the new Carnival clone away from the warmer spectrum CFLs in the closet. I'm trying to send it back to veg and the T5s are my best tool right now for that.

IMG_682813.JPG

Carnival 4 will be flipped this week when CBD Critical Cure 2.1 comes down.

IMG_683017.JPG

Yep..... She's ready. :cheesygrinsmiley: I'll take a clone cutting when I flip.

*contented sigh*

IMG_683314.JPG

Woohoo! Can't wait for your harvest and oil run tomorrow! :goodluck:

This is a repost from my thread of the Ghost Train lab test.
There are a lot of cuts of Ghost Train. It was originally clone only. These two were probably S1 seeds from the same plant and are not from the best cuts. The cannabinois are close to the same content with rather low THC numbers in both. However D-Limonene and Lanalool had concentrations higher in the Dwarf and Terpinolene concentrations were 10 times higher in the second plant.

Both plants are much better smoke than the numbers would indicate. The Dwarf is the best. Neither plant has a decent yield. The Dwarf was about an ounce and #2 was around 3 ounces. The buds are very small. The tricomes are also undersized with the Dawarf having noticeably smaller ones than #2.

For what it is worth, I did a partial cold dry on #2 for about 15 days with loose packed buds on stems in half gallon jars. Then they were air dried for about two days with the stems on before jarring. The Dwarf was air dried for about 5 days.

I seriously know nothing.... about what I am doing here. I don't know enough to know what to look for at this point.

Best

The first and third images are standard test of the dwarf and 2 and 4 are extended test of the second plant.

Thank you Canyon. Looking at that extended list I kept thinking "Damn! I have a lot to learn." :laughtwo:

The 6.0 mg/g of limonene in the Ghost Train is impressive as hell! It was my understanding that most terpene numbers are going to be 2-4 at the most. That was the sample you dried using Ziggy's low and slow method, which makes me even happier. I'll have to research that exotic list to learn more about the terpenes represented, as well as some of the others.

Geez...... I'll never catch up. :laughtwo:

Hello Sue
I'm SO glad I just stumbled upon your journal/s!! They're awesome and inspirational. I'm new to the indoor growing world and live in Australia. I hope you won't mind me joining the hordes of admirers following your work - I promise to keep the stupid questions to a minimum! I do have 1 though...one of my LED's has a fan that's started making an awful noise and I'm wondering - do you reckon the plants could be effected? I've heard they enjoy classical music and this is the opposite! What do you think? Thanks. Regards from Australia

Welcome to :420:

I wouldn't worry on behalf of the plants, there are probably some cannabis strains that are fans of Death Metal music - room for everyone in this world (unless they attack me  )

I would be concerned on behalf of my ears and the safety of the light. A small time computer repair shop would probably be willing to repace your fan. (Not all of them, but the ones managed by stoners. ) Pay in cash and don't leave your address :)

Or you could just wait for real annswer from SweetSue.

Thanks Radogast. Funny you mention Death Metal, as I was just saying yesterday that it's one of the few genres of music that I can't really appreciate! And I appreciate the advice on the dodgy fan. Fortunately, I just bought 2 600W HPS's for my new flower tent, so as soon as I move the girls in to flip, I'll have a chance to fix up the veg tent. My 1st indoor and I'm enjoying it but miss the simplicity of outdoor growing a little! Now I've used up my daily 'stupid questions ' quota - I'll sit back and quietly watch some journals by real indoor growers!

:welcome: Anna, to the joyful journal and to the :420: community. Are you having fun getting acquainted with this wonderful membership? We have an especially delightful contingent hanging around here. We move a little fast sometimes, so please don't think we expect you to always keep up. :laughtwo:

I see Rad has made you feel welcomed - thank you Rad for being there while I slept. :hugs:  This new oil wears me out by the end of the day. Whew! Loving every minute of it. I can't wait to get the pressure cooker today and make more tomorrow with the DDA. I'll have to significantly reduce the doses. :laughtwo:

Anna we live for questions. None are thought of as stupid and all are lovingly answered. This isn't a journal that'll give you any attitude other than joy at your being here. :hugs:  Welcome to SweetSue's kingdom. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Heavy Metal isn't one of my favorite choices either. :laughtwo: To each their own. I sometimes wonder if they'd grow better if I played classical music for them, but they're kicking my ass as it is, and I suspect it's threatening their existence, not pampering them, that brings the more exotic oils out in greater volumes.

It's kinda disturbing sometimes to admit the abusing your plants within reason can be enormously beneficial.

Good morning everyone

It's another beautiful day to spread more joy. Are you prepared? Good, I thought we'd trained well. :cheesygrinsmiley: Let me bolster the stores of exuberance with a little photo share. CBD Critical Cure 2.1 nears her harvest date with buds dripping with oil. :thedoubletake:

Mmmmm...... This is the strain that I made the last batch of oil from, the one that's had me so high for the past week straight that I can't believe it. This girl will give me enough oil to supply three of us with as many as we can tolerate in a day. Right now I won't be able to get any more than two in without resorting to using them as suppositories, which I may do to get the cannabinoids in. I need to begin making a dent with the scalp psoriasis. That can't happen if I can't tolerate the euphoria enough to up the dose without a more varied administration approach.

And that, my friends, is the highest compliment I can pay this oil technique. SweetSue froze her brownies in lieu of these capsules that likely contain less than 20 mg of THC per capsule. The brownies pack around 75 mg of THC per slice.

Yep, you read that right. Do yourself a favor, buy a pressure cooker and get to work making some serious meds. We have stumbled onto something really exciting here.

Time for breakfast. I'll catch up a bit later. Joy my friends. Get out there and share it far and wide.

:ciao:

My goodness, how beautiful!

I have to concur with Lady A., Sue. She's gorgeous! Well done.

You've got plants. They are alive. Don't sell yourself short - please. The negativity might harsh my mellow. I'm selfish that way.

Sue. I've seen a lot of your plants.

That frost.

That cola.

You have outdone yourself. This is good stuff.

My CBD Critical Cure (my you are a trendsetter aren't you = thank you) .. ahem

My CBD Critical Cure didn't .. quite ... make it into the flower area this round so she is going to have to veg until Lilly or the Ace Sativa harvest. 38 days and not a hint of pistils turnng, just swelling buds. My CBD Critical Cure will be a monster. :) I may just skip the dry weigh in and put an ounce-ish into fresh oil(s).

Can you recomment a good vegetable oil base for a psoriasis patient? My friend reacted to the olive oil base (not bad, just not good.) If she can tolerate something topical, that would be good, but if not something ingestible. I know you mentioned something about less than 12 carbon chains, but I've hit a few deadends with my distracted research

Sorry for going off topic folks - a stressful day - not thinking at my best.

. . .

Sue, this has been a good month for you. Your plants are loving you.

Sue, this has been a good month for you. Your plants are loving you.

Rad, that was some of the sweetest compliments I've recieved here. I'm touched. You and Graytail have been with me from the beginning, so yes, you have seen me grow a lot of plants. :laughtwo: I'm coming into my third year in September, and I recall B A R putting himself through the paces at year three to see if he could demonstrate the value of this community in assisting his learning curve, having come here as a complete novice with a plant he'd rescued from the tree well outside his building in NYC.

As I stood looking at my own plants, less than three years in and having started with the same ignorance of cultivating cannabis, I had to admit that the plants respond positively to my form of unconditional loving, and it's obvious that this community has taught me well. At every step along my plants' lifelines my actions reflect the many skills I picked up following the members I have. As I perform those chores on a daily basis it always makes me smile that these methods are born of the love and laughter we've shared on this site. Pigeons taught me to smash the tops down to encourage side growth, and Graytail taught me to bend the leaders to my will. Hahah!, I'll have to dig that post up again. It's been a while since I read it. :laughtwo:

My point is that this community has been the perfect training ground for me and my plants show it.

Alright...... I have a hard time admitting it in the company of so many talented cultivators, but I accept that my garden shows a talent for the art. I grow in what is arguably the best soil system, under the cutting edge of lighting. Add to that the influence of all the support and talent that surrounds me and this is what we should expect the end result to look like.

I am a reflection of my community, and damned proud to be here among you. :battingeyelashes: ::green_heart:

She drips until 1 PM and then she gets turned into oil on the spot. I'll dry a small amount in the fridge to see how it potentiates the euphoria. :slide:

IMG_69067.JPG

I'm really looking forward to trying this oil out. I'm curious if the cannabinoid ratios have as much to do with the potency of this oil method. This is high THC with little CBD. The CBD Critical cure was almost in balance, with weight in the direction of CBD.

Don't you love science? :slide:

DDA7 looks like another week, minimum. She'll be my first to cross the 100 day mark.

I'll be planting a Devil's Carnival on the empty space either later today or tomorrow. Haven't dropped a seed in the water yet.

Did that get the joyful juices going for ya? Good job. My work is done. :battingeyelashes: Now get out there and soread that joy around. Watch how much more you have at the end of the day. Nice how that works out, eh?

:Namaste:

I just discovered I have some Carnival that's been in the cupboard since mid-December. :thedoubletake:
