SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

I'm currently at 12 plants, 9 strains. I'm Still in startup mode, only 6 clones in perpetual mode - so far.

Once I get 10 strains going (dang males) and 6 in flower, I expect to be at up to 16 plants with 10 strains ni veg or the cloner - the benefits of slow vegging under 200W of T5 CFL :)

I'm having to reveg a strain after harvest, so upped my CFL to 24/0 - I'd like to slow back down to 16/8 soon :)

I'm toying with the idea of supercropping to even the canopy after I train the first 5-6 branches via LST.

What do you think?

Supercropping is an effective tool. Duggan proves that beyond any shadow of a doubt. I have a difficult time doing it yet, but I have done some and it works beautifully. I look forward to watching you train that canopy Rad. My last girls in flower I didn't contain as rigidly as some previous ones and I find I miss that beautifully flat canopy. It's as much art to me as function. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning everyone:Love:

Look! Another day to spread joy! :slide: Get out there and have fun. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Yesterday I made myself stick to just brownie doses - did you hear me say I had to make myself? It was hard, I'll admit, but I was determined to compare the euphoric experience with the capsules I'd been enjoying so much for the previous week.

Today I'm back on the capsules. I missed this feeling. Don't get me wrong, the Carnival brownies pack a whallop of a THC punch with around 75 mg per. It's a sweet, clear-thinking, uplifting, and energetic high that I really enjoy, but it's not on the same level as the capsules. Yeah....that surprised me too.

PsyCro upped his game and started making the oil in a pressure cooker. Fill it a quarter of the way with water, add the plant material and oil, mush it all together with an immersion blender, bring to a boil, close her up and let her cook for two hours. He took most of the drudgery out of the process. I think I love him. :battingeyelashes:  I'll be picking up a pressure cooker before my next batch of oil, which will be within the next two weeks.

She's at day 43 of flower, which is just 11 days from when the last one came down.

I'm thinking she'll be coming down at about the same pace. Need to get that pressure cooker. :slide:

The baby looks happy, yes? :battingeyelashes:

Have to run to my coffee and conversation group. Catch you later. Look Tead, a friend brought me presents. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sue: would you please give us a link to Psycro's pressure cooker instructions? Finding a specific post using 420's search function is a futile process.

Here you go AKgramma. It's added to the end of this blog with a link to the discussion on his thread. Fresh Harvest Cannabis Oil Extract

Have you thought about adapting the psyCro method to use the Magical Butter machine (MB2) for the fresh oil infusion?

It seems like there should be an easy way.

Weaselcracker is doing just this thing right now. We talked it over and I believe he's going with 130 degrees for a couple days. Our thought is that decarb is a function of time and heat, and he came across an interesting idea of doing an infusion in a crockpot for a week straight that got us considering out-of-the-box ideas.

I really need to make the tCheck a priority. Having no way to test the THC content isn't helping us much. If I can determine the efficiency of my decarb process for THC it'll give me a better feel for the CBD decarb, since it takes a little longer than THC.

Don't you love being a lab rat?

Had an interesting discussion at my coffee and conversation group this morning where I admitted that there isn't a moment in the day that I'm not under the influence of cannabis. That bold admission always takes people by surprise, because I defy the stoner impression carried by most not yet indoctrinated to the realities of cannabinoid therapies.

I was explaining how my user name picked me and then turned me into SweetSue. On the way home I got to thinking about it and did something I don't think I've ever done. I googled myself. Typing in "SweetSue, cannabis" brings up my study hall, a fact that made me smile broadly. That thread is what I'm proudest about around this neighborhood. :battingeyelashes: Then I took the time to walk through the images that pop up. My word! I have an extensive digital history, don't I? :laughtwo:

Headed out to buy some black spray paint to get these 2 liter bottles ready for the hempy expansion.

You have very much to be proud of! There are many of us who can't thank you enough for the information you share daily.

I was looking over the directions for the fresh oil and realized it's about 14oz of bud to a pint of oil. I know it weighs more wet but wow, that's a lot. How much dry weight would that be? I never weigh when I cut so I don't have any idea how much that would be dry. I normally only get about 1-2 oz, tops from my plants right now. I'm working on increasing that, but I'm a couple months away from anything larger. The pressure cooker seems perfect, and the wife has just got an 8 quart one recently she's been playing with. I think we might try a smaller amount this next harvest in a couple of weeks. I'll have to see how the reserves are holding up.

Looking gorgeous in here. You've sold me on the vero29. You're plants have exploded with the swap.

I know Morglie, they all just love the light spectrum. Hard to believe I gave away more watts and gained more growth, isn't it? That Dan...... Gosh, how blessed am I? :battingeyelashes:

I found out that my good friend will be back from her road trip this weekend, right before my harvest, and she has a pressure. Poker she's goin to let me use indefinately. See? The universe always has my back. :slide:

I've learned over the time I've grown to expect to lose 80% of the weight in the drying process. For this particular recipe I use 100 grams dry to the 500 ml of olive oil. I know that's giving me a bit more cannabis, but I find it easier for calculations. You're going to be pleased with the results, and I'll be watching for a report on your impressions. :battingeyelashes:

Be aware, this is more potent than you'll expect.

In my world TOAST is a god. :hugs: The CBD Critical Cure 2.2.1 clone is sprouting roots! :yahoo:

If I'm really lucky, someday I'll meet him and wrap him up in the biggest hug ever! :cheesygrinsmiley:

I don't know where you found the real you with Google. All I found out is that you have a black tail.

Much appreciated Mouser.

Thank you mouser. :hugs:  I was off working on that trophy wife body. Someday my next husband is gonna be real happy I'm such a dedicated Callanaddict. :laughtwo:

Hello TripleBeam. :hugs: As mouser pointed out, I use rooting hormones, but I don't use anything else other than Rapid Rooter plugs and a strong dilution of aloe vera gel and water. Soak the plug in the water/aloe, slather gel all over the prepared cutting stem, coat it with rooting hormone and stick it into the plug.

It's never failed me, even the cutting I left too long without checking when I went to Jamaica in Feb rooted, and is flowering right now.

This method is so reliable I only take one cutting at a time. Can't get much better than that. TOAST is a genius. Wait till you see how he grows in Ziplock bags. :laughtwo:

Late to the game, but hope you don't mind if I hang out.

:welcome: Lady Antheia. :hugs: It's a crowded but oh so friendly room. The rules are simple, have fun. :cheesygrinsmiley: We move pretty fast around here some days so please know from the start that I never expect any of you to keep up with me or my journals. :laughtwo: My friends know they can slip in and out and I never concern myself with when they were here last.

Truth is I'm everywhere and I see you all out there all day, every day. There's just something special about this room. :circle-of-love:

We try to start another chapter every 400-500 pages. Just a heads up if you get busy and miss it. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:
