SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

hey Sue,

this may be of interest
I had removed the lens off of the Vero a few weeks ago for a little more spread of the light
I put them back on today at 5 weeks flowering to see what happens with a little more intensity.

of course these readings are just taken with my little 4-in-one meter, but I did it just for my own reference.

this is the vero with the lens off under one of 120w's

and with the lens on

and here is my p300 using 90W / 90w / 180w

vgauges_p300.jpg

That is of interest Hash Hound, but I don't know enough about lights to fully understand the implications. Obviously the P300 has more power behind it. Looks like I want my canopy somewhere around 12" or closer if they can stand it. I'm keeping mine right in that range. Do you think I'd be well advised to put the reflectors back on the ones in the closet? The reflectivity of the tents makes leaving the off a better option, but the closet's wide open.

Sue

I think the reflectors are a good idea for the closet, especially since one side is always open.

I had the vero about 10-12" with the lens off. Now it's about 16-18" with the lens on

and here's what it's producing.

Ooo.... Nice Hash Hound. I'll put them on right now.

The canopy is 16" away. Thank you Hash Hound. :hugs:

Took it back to 12". I remembered Hash Hound has the Vero 240. I have 200 watts, and Dan tells me growers are keeping them close.

Morning Sue!!! I thought I would share a couple pics of the flower tent. I don't think I could fit much more in a 3x3 space!!! 4 plants. Next one due to chop in about 2 weeks. :circle-of-love::peace:

Dave I love that you grace the pages of my journal with pictures of your lovelies. :hugs:  Looks like the joint is hopping. :laughtwo: I need to start packing my own tents a bit more. I keep expanding my medicinal influence. I promised the daughter I'd stop offering more than advice on how to grow your own. I'm now supplying myself, her, her FIL and my BIL. The partner's father is a low-volume consumer at this point, but you know eventually I'll convince him to do more than smoke it for symptom relief. That's enough strain on my garden. Any more patients and I don't have space to grow for experimentation, one of my favorite things. :battingeyelashes:

Morning Sue...you're plants are looking awesome and loving those lights. :)

Have a wonderful Mother's Day. :Namaste:

That's right, it's Mother's Day. :laughtwo: I completely forgot. Lol! Thank you Beavis. :hugs:

To all the Mothers among us, and all the fathers that fill that dual role

Happy Mother's Day

May the day be a confirmation of the powerful feelings of love you hold for your children and appreciation for the gift you've been given by having them in your life. Parenting is the fastest course in unconditional loving the universe will ever offer you. Enjoy it to the fullest.

:Namaste:

I appreciate the fact that you let me share them here!!! I am too busy to start a new journal and having a place to share pics from time to time is great. :thanks::Namaste::circle-of-love::peace:

For me, the trick to packing the tent, is to keep the girls well manicured. I usually do a GOOD trimming after their second Cat (of coarse all the trim is put into my coconut oil) and by waiting till after the second cat, they are getting a good layer of Trics. Right now, the Carnival in the front left, just got her first one, and she is by far the "bushiest" in the tent. :circle-of-love::peace:

Until you posted that I'd not considered the value of the later trim. Another of those gardening tricks I'm still learning. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks for sharing this Dave. I've been watching to see how others use their space. I've been wondering if it is more efficient to have a few plants in a tent instead of one large one.

When I am dialed in, I am chopping 1 plant every 2 weeks. Each plant will have between 2 and 4 oz (depending on strain, clone/seed etc). I take 1 clone on day 15 of flower. It keeps my perpetual garden going. :circle-of-love::peace:

Your flow is what I'm attempting to get dialed in Dave. I have two clones now, but for some reason I thought you said day 14. Not that one day would make all that much difference, but I'll make the correct notation in my notes. I'm interested in seeing how this pacing works for me. I was taking the cuttings at Flip, and they were just a little ahead of where I wanted them to be, so I'm banking on this fixing that scheduling concern.

I keep expanding. :laughtwo: It's only hempy pots I keep adding in, but still, I have this mad compulsion to grow more. Lol!

I drench on day 14. I am sure I could take the clone then, but I am a creature of habit. Drench on Sunday. Clone on Monday. :):circle-of-love::peace:

To be honest, the way to get more yeild and more potent oil is to grow a mass of budscicles in a Sea Of Green. We watched DrZiggy stun us with what he pulled off in his tents a couple years back when I was following him more closely and attempted to duplicate his success. I wasn't adept enough at the art to pull it off like he does, but the process still tempts me, and I have a shitload of azalea pots to play with is I get the urge to try again. :laughtwo: His wasn't an official SOG, but it was the baddest bunch of budscicles ever.

What Dave pulls off amazes me. He has this consistency to the flow that I find enviable. I'd Love to get it to the point where I had another 2-4 ounces coming down every two weeks. That would give me the stock I need for some Study Hall experimentation.
