SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

Good morning everyone

Greetings from the closet. :cheesygrinsmiley:

My alarm goes off every morning at 8 to remind me to open the curtains on the tiny closet. If the curtains aren't opened it gets too hot in there. I have no ventilation system and the only air flow in there is from the open windows. That's why this space is designated for autos.

Carn 4.1 ended up at 44" from the perlite.

Devil's Carnival finally stopped stretching at 53" from the soil.

This is my first glimpse of the garden every morning. What a glorious way to start a day, eh? :slide: Another month or so and I'll be taking these down and replacing them with a couple DDAs - I'm thinking one of Rifleman's contrasted with one from Sweet Seeds. I'd like to see how they compare.

Well, if the shots of those beauties didn't jumpstart a bit of joyful expression in your heart you might be in the wrong neighborhood. Lol!

My shopping excursion yesterday reminded me of Mr. Krip's thread You Might Be A Grower If. :laughtwo: Everywhere I go I notice things that'd be useful repurposed in the garden. Lol!

Alright troops, time to get out there and show the world how dedicated old stoners do unconditional love. We've had lots more practice and we consume some of the best cannabis grown, which only serves to make us more loving, doesn't it? So share that joyful enthusiasm everywhere you go today. I'll be doing my best to keep up with you. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Shower! Breakfast! But first a brief spell for a casual wake 'n bake, to prime the joyful pumps. :slide:

That's a good idea ;) .

It's a start :cheesygrinsmiley:

Transplanting, hempy style.

IMG_0020239.JPG

The perlite got rinsed and drained last night. I empty enough from the container to fit the depth of the pot I'm transplanting into.

IMG_0021221.JPG

It gets set off to the side for quick application once the roots are free.

IMG_0022220.JPG

I attempted to float her out, but she was having nothing of it, so out came the scissors. :laughtwo:

IMG_0024206.JPG

Setting up for the next plant, the perlite gets rinsed and drained.

IMG_0025201.JPG

With Carnival 4.2 I didn't mess with floating. She got cut right out of the bottle.

IMG_0026200.JPG

She looks more natural in her new home. Next week this girl goes into flowering mode. :slide:

IMG_0029179.JPG

Candy Cane will be flipped as soon as I harvest Carnival 4 this week.

IMG_0030177.JPG

I'll be purchasing more 10" saucers tomorrow before I do any more transplanting. I also decided to purchase some of the smaller trash cans I saw yesterday. I won't have to cut them out of the pots with those. Smooth, straight sides are what's called for.

Looking good in here, albeit a little crowded. By next week everyone will have a little more breathing space. I can see where this is headed, and I'm getting excited to see it all click into place. :battingeyelashes:

You know I'm headed for an all hempy garden, don't you? Ok, let's not be surprised when I phase out soil next year. I just cooked a batch, and I'll ride it out until the end, simply to keep from wasting it, but we all see the writing on the wall.

I am one happy camper. This feel like a good fit for SweetSue. :blunt:

Finishing up watering duties I turned and the sight took my breath away. I had to share. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

They're racing to the finish line. :yahoo:

I wish we could capture the smells. :dreamy:

Nice work in there Sue. I know Tead is enjoying your hempy experiments. Seems like they are doing you well.

Tead's smiling like a butcher's dog Brix. :laughtwo: Im doing well enough to be determined to switch to hempy as my method of cultivation. I love the adaptability, and the weight difference alone......

When are you gonna join the fun Brix? :cheesygrinsmiley:

grower problems....

Multiple grow rooms too crowded with bud producing plants = First world grower problems

Went shopping on a whim with a friend to a store I rarely stop at.

Those were the ones I came home with. There were four available. That's a good number for the garden. I believe I have four vinegar bottles too. I can easily progress from solos to vinegar bottles and then on to the trash cans.

8" across and 12" deep.

IMG_0004398.JPG

I did the math, thats a 2.05 gallon hempy pot. 2 gallons is almost too large a hempy

another First World grower problem

Problems I'll happily take on Rad. :blunt:

They weathered the transplant without a hitch.

You'll like this one too TS. :laughtwo:

I'm sharing most of this pan with a friend. I'll remember to warn him how tasty they are because he'll want to eat more than one but they pack close to 75 mg of THC apiece. Lol! Don't need him wandering the streets blathering nonesense now, do we? :battingeyelashes:

Today is the 36th anniversary of the day Dale and I proclaimed our devotion to each other before friends and family. I decided that called for a breakfast brownie of the Carnival persuasion. :cheesygrinsmiley: It'll be hitting my system before I'm out of the shower. :slide: I'm planning to pamper myself to the extreme today. Somewhere in the day I'll get some transplanting done. Harvest in the morning tomorrow. :yahoo: It'll be nice to have some hanging. Lol! I miss having it around. Haha!

Join me in my search for more ways to express gratitude for the abundance that surrounds us. And be sure to grab all the hugs you can while your at it. They're a healing force all their own, so hold on just a smidgen longer each time. :battingeyelashes:

Time for me to get it rolling. I have some mail to get out. :ciao:

Allrighty. I made the purchase :) The big friggin "hempy"

Your friend is gonna get so happy for that gift :) You're a good person Sue

Oh DeVille, I'm so excited for you. :yahoo: I know you'll love it once it's up and running.

I did a little more transplanting today.

Devil's Carnival 1.1, looking like she wants to be as big as mom. Let's see if I can find a way to curtail the height.

IMG_0045115.JPG

Thin Mint GSC 1.1 Got more root space too.

IMG_0046119.JPG

Look at the size of the early leaves on this girl! :thedoubletake:

IMG_0047125.JPG

Just a few more days and there'll be more breathing space in here.

Looking at that picture makes me so happy. :battingeyelashes: I'm the twice-reigning MOTY, but there's been this underlying perception in some circles that I won on a site dedicated to growing despite the fact that I can't grow worth a hoot, that I don't take it seriously enough. I don't much care what others think about what I do in my life, but there's always been a small part of me that wanted to be able to demonstrate a certain consistent prowess in the cultivation arena.

I think I can now be comfortable with the idea that I do indeed know what the hell I'm doing, and the prizes weren't a waste of resources after all. This picture pretty much seals it for me. I have a right nice little perpetual going here. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

That's what friends do DeVille. It pleases me to know just how happy he'll be when he opens the box. :laughtwo:

Good day SweetSue, Your MOTY x2 were not mistakes, in fact, when you won, all of us won. I am proof of that. It was a testament of how one person can affect the lives of so many around her. The world would be so dark with the light your garden brings to us all. I think you know quite a lot, but it's your heart that knows the most. May the memory of Dale live on forever in your brownies, good to the last bite and missed the moment they are gone. BIG HUG:hugs::hugs::hugs:

Thank you all. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

The day's been a celebration, start to finish. A delightful testament to a happy marriage. :battingeyelashes: I'm on my way to walk with a couple good friends. The river trail, stimulating conversation, and a meal when we're done.

I've been surrounded by love all day long. It feels good.
