SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

I still do not get it.

I'm aware not everyone smokes. I've made oil and my current garden is heading in that direction too. I never said it was the only method of delivery. Just the only method I could think of as I tried to sleep. So please, please don't make it sound like I'm stupid.

But again, vaporizing still decarbs. We decarb before making oil, butter, tinctures. It's what we do when we use this medication. It's always been key no matter what the delivery method.

If this happens naturally after a point, why are we forcing it with heat? Impatience is the only answer I can think of. And that is what I meant.

I've heard of someone that cobs his bud, then once it's gone through its fermentation, he chews the buds and eats them. He can't smoke it, so that is his preferred method of ingestion.

The fermentation process decarbs the buds and I would think potentially may enhance the terpenes. Hmm, I can't think of why I haven't mentioned this form to you before, Sue. It's old school and seems right up your alley with the slow and lo thread you are running. I believe it's something they've traditionally used in Malawi to store bud. I need to try doing this to some Malawi.

This is new to me Morglie. I'm growing Malawi. I'd like to learn more. Would you point me to some information about it? :battingeyelashes:

It's the little things that keep the grow running smoothly.

Little things like periodically washing up the drip trays and risers.

The only decent explanation I can find right now is on another forum. I'll pm you the link.

Your friend is gonna get so happy for that gift :) You're a good person Sue

That's what friends do DeVille. It pleases me to know just how happy he'll be when he opens the box. :laughtwo:

Happy? I'd guess that your friend will... sh!t the proverbial brick when he opens the box (but in a good way ;) ). Let's hope he carries it inside first, otherwise the neighbors might hear him making noises and see him dancing around.

Happy, lol. I'd say that bell got rung just by knowing you. I'm sitting here, trying to come up with an adequate descriptor for what I'd imagine your friend will be feeling when he opens your precious gift - but I find that words are suddenly failing ol' ~TS~.

Hmm... Maybe ^that^ is descriptor enough, to those who've read my posts before  .

You'll like this one too TS. :laughtwo:

image19710.jpeg

I'm sharing most of this pan with a friend.

Lol. Let's hope he stops to unwrap one before nibbling.

Just in case it slipped my mind... You are the kind of friend that a person would consider himself/herself blessed to have.

I'll remember to warn him how tasty they are because he'll want to eat more than one but they pack close to 75 mg of THC apiece.

WARNING: Extra-special special brownies, lol. If your friend is at all like me, he might not even eat the regular square kind of brownies more than once a year or so. Hopefully, he's the type of person who shares his moments of... happiness with others who are even more in need of a little sunshine (or, in this case, a big whopping truckload of sunshine) than he is.

Lol! Don't need him wandering the streets blathering nonesense now, do we? :battingeyelashes:

For some of us... who'd notice the difference ;) ?

Today is the 36th anniversary of the day Dale and I proclaimed our devotion to each other before friends and family.

I'm glad you had a good day. Especially today <looks at clock> err, yesterday. I hope all of your days are good ones. You do so much to improve the quality of others' days.

I decided that called for a breakfast brownie of the Carnival persuasion. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Yum!

Hey, it's been so long since I had a good/powerful edible experience, that I don't remember for sure - but I seem to recall something about eating a light but high-fat beforehand, in order to use up many of the digestive enzymes that the liver has/had on hand so that substantially more of the... goodness is still available to pass through the blood:brain barrier. And that, because of this, the peaking of effects will be slower - but that peak will be much higher. And, perhaps, last somewhat longer.

I've also heard that it is helpful to eat some critter called a mango an hour or so before consuming a cannabis edible.

What are your thoughts on the above? And the thoughts of others on the subject, assuming (which I am, lol) that you don't mind a little discussion about it, would also be welcome.

It'll be hitting my system before I'm out of the shower. :slide:

THAT... would cause my water bill to double. I can just imagine reaching up to angle the shower head out of the way prior to turning the water flow off, noticing the play of the light on the spray... and still be standing there long after the water has cooled off, saying, "Cool."

Join me in my search for more ways to express gratitude for the abundance that surrounds us.

IDK how you could do more for your friends (both online and off-) than you already do. OtOH, every time I find myself thinking this, I see that you find even more ways...

And be sure to grab all the hugs you can while your at it. They're a healing force all their own, so hold on just a smidgen longer each time. :battingeyelashes:

:thumb: . Hugs and good conversation, best therapy ever. Also the most inexpensive (and worthiest) kind.

Thin Mint GSC 1.1

Have you harvested that one before? If so, does its scent/taste live up to its name? For that matter, how does it smell now?

Just a few more days and there'll be more breathing space in here.

But... not for long? ;)

Looking at that picture makes me so happy. :battingeyelashes: I'm the twice-reigning MOTY, but there's been this underlying perception in some circles that I won on a site dedicated to growing despite the fact that I can't grow worth a hoot

Some circles... must be squares :icon_roll .

that I don't take it seriously enough.

I wouldn't take such drivel seriously at all. It's not like you need defenders, lol, but the family you help, the friends you help (and educate, which is a help that keeps on helping), the occasional visiting hillbilly - or two - that you get there well enough that their road trip home is a pleasant one... Would all fight to be at the head of that line for you.

but there's always been a small part of me that wanted to be able to demonstrate a certain consistent prowess in the cultivation arena.

Yikes, consider that to have been demonstrated 100% by now :bravo: .

I think I can now be comfortable with the idea that I do indeed know what the hell I'm doing

Yes, and it is clearly evident that you learn more every day.

and the prizes weren't a waste of resources after all.

WHO DOUBTED THIS FOR EVEN A MOMENT?!? Let me at 'em...

Seems like every time you win something, you end up using it to enrich someone else's life. I'm wondering... where do we submit the nominations for member of the decade?

Anyway... As prizes go, this one is both woefully inadequate and well past due, but: THANK YOU for all you do - for everyone!

So I'm pretty sure my new system ain't a hempy even if it's the same principle. Since the tank is external I think it's kinda disqualified. I am planning to use perlite anyway since it's so easy to re-use. I have used the same batch of perlite in one of my little cloners for years now. I just boil it once a year or so :)

Anyway - I purchased two 16 pot systems instead of 1 32 pot. I end up with the same thing when I put it together, but I get two 100 liter tanks instead of 1 200 liter tank. That will give me a chance to grow two strains in the system at once with different requirements and it will also allow me to spread the system out a little better in my room so I can actually be inside there as well with the plants :)

So two of these sytems:

l1210.jpg

equal one of these systems, only a bit more flexible.

Hoping to grow at least one 1,2-1,5 kg per round in these

I don't doubt your ability to reach that goal DeVille. Good call on the choice of two smaller systems. Did you have to force yourself to take a step back? :laughtwo:

TS..... yes to the small but fatty food to help with bioavailability. The mangoes work because they clear the methyl groups that sometimes get cluttered around the receptors. Then you get more attachments and thusly more euphoria. :slide: I'd recommend my friend try both about 30 minutes before consuming a Biobomb brownie, which will hit faster than the average brownie. I feel the euphoric shift within ten minutes of ingesting. Which reminds me......... :laughtwo:

Good morning everyone

Who doesn't love a harvest, eh? :laughtwo: I'm already in joy mode - I know, big surprise. Join my in the search for more delightful ways to demonstrate the joy of a life free of judgement and brimming with gratitude. It's not difficult with the senses filled with the musky goodness of a freshly-cut plant. Let me get back to my joyful beginnings while you explore your path. We'll catch up later. With celebratory photos. :slide:

Until later...... :ciao:

It's actually not a step back. The two systems together is the same as the big 32 pot system. Just split them in half for transport issues

All washed and trimmed. Ready to dry. I'll take a wet weight before I hang them wherever I decide to do that, in about three hours. I may drop some in the fridge for low and slo.

Time to feed Susan.

@Sue you should get a commission on all the stuff I've bought from reading your many threads here. I'm really digging the Cannabis Health Index book you recommended in a thread somewhere.

Those brownies sound amazingly scary ;-). I'm not really one for edibles myself, I smoke an awful lot during the day, and like being to adjust the high on the fly, which isn't really possible with edibles. Although just Monday I was gifted a sample of some gummy worms and actually had a decent day of it (o'course I basically forgot about it and kept smoking all day like normal). I had a great nights sleep for a change that night, almost 4 whole hours but was very groggy in the morning!

In my little world, I have had some varied success with the stupid caterpillars. I did find two more, little bastards, then I originally thought. I got them the next day and the two new buds they tried to steal from me came through without too much damage. I guess I discovered how to find them a bit earlier: the pistol hairs turned red/ripe on only those buds, so soon as I saw that I dug into the buds and found the little worms with tweezers. The other three buds seem to be recovering fairly well, it's hard to tell because this plant has other issues. Up until a week ago Monday I was covering it up for about two hours before dusk every night with shade cloth. This worked great to force it to flower a few weeks early, but then I got called out of town for a bit so 3 weeks into a 12/12 day/night they switched to a 14/10 day/night. I don't really see any ill effects, no male flowers or hermie issues that I've seen. I could of course start covering it again, but all the rest of the plants are flowering naturally so I've just let this one continue in the natural day/night. It for sure slowed down it's bud growth and hasn't grown at all really except a bit of pistol development and it hasn't stopped or even really slowed the trichome production, I wonder how it will change the amber/cloudy thing?

I wonder if it's safe to smoke the buds that the caterpillars ate, I didn't use anything but tweezers on them? I pulled off most of the brown damaged spots but those nugs still look a bit different (darker green and the pistol hairs have mostly turned red on those three buds only).

I have had slightly less success with my clones, but still great. I had made an ebb and flow system to play with and put two clones in there but I guess it ebbed too much when it should have flowed or whatever, it was set to flood every 3 hours, and in the 90º heat one of the clones dried out and died almost right away, the other was bigger and didn't seem too happy but has now pulled through nicely. After a bit of experimenting I've changed my timer to turn the pump on every half hour, but will slow that down as it starts to cool and the plant grows more roots. I also put two clones in, what I guess from reading here is basically my own version of "super soil" although it's just some organic soil with a ton of organic additives I mixed, they are doing great along with two seedling sprouts, one of which already has purple leaves (only on the bottom) which I guarantee isn't from it getting too cold ;-)

I also put two additional clones in Hempy pots, and a couple days ago due to an accidental breakage made a third (outdoor though) hempy and just tossed the broken branch in it, it's still alive so I have hope it will pull through, although it's mother had just started flowering.

Anyways thanks and danks,
Dr. Doob

High Sue :ciao:

I have an Oz of CBD Critical Cure ready to make some something with, now, I'm away with the lads for a weekend of racecars and cannabis in a few weeks and I wanna make something that's gonna kick the butt of the lads. What do you recommend?

:hugs:  :hugs:

I'd make a double-strength (ratio of 100 gr dry buds to 500 ml of coconut oil), or possibly triple-strength (100 gr dry buds to .3 ltr coconut oil) infused oil. Fill some capsules. I've never tried CBD Critical Cure with brownies, but that might be a sweet alternative.

How does the strain effect you? You're smoking it for the most part?

I don't see why it would be problem smoking the buds. Do a bud wash when you harvest to remove any feces, but otherwise what's left is still good.

I thought you were asking if it's safe to eat the caterpillar. (I'm sure I'm not the only one :))
My recommendation: drop the little guy in a bottle of Mezcal. Take "eating the worm" to a whole new level.

Can you believe I haven't tried it yet? I cleaned my bong last night so ill fire it up later. I'm liking the idea of triple strength capsules.

I see there is barely room left for me to move in my main-room after I put in the new systems. Wow! This is gonna be epic!

I made a graphics how the finished setup will be like. Made the graphics in the real dimensions and then shrinked it to a more 420 friendly size

I hear delighted excitement in those words. :laughtwo: This will be epic DeVille. You'll be able to get to everyone?

I decided I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a direct comparison of dried hanging to dried low and slo. I pulled a branch off the rack and cut it down.
