SweetSue's Perpetual 2.0 - The Transition To Doc Bud's HBB Kit

I have plaster and lath from 1903. I may have wood screws, but I gave most of the tools and related items away when I began culling my possessions. I'll figure out how to get it done. This was the kind of thing I used to turn to Dale for. *sigh* At least I kept the drill. And some bits. Lol!

Those plastic anchors will work. Could probably skip the anchor and just use few drywall screws, you have the wood slabs to fasten too. Cheap and easy.

I take a lot of this stuff for granted because I'm in construction and have access to tools and materials.

I thought that bud was dead too, looks great outside the tent. Sometimes pictures are deceiving lol. Have a great weekend Sue

First off, Tead's going to be real excited to hear we found another disciple. :laughtwo:

I use empty gallon vinegar bottles, and they fit right nicely into these heavy duty trays.

Ooo, great tip! I buy vinegar by the gallon, so this is a perfect use for the bottle when I'm done. :)

Off to check out Tead's place! :surf:

You'll be wanting black duck tape. They actually call it that now. I resisted for the longest time, insisting on calling it duct tape, but they changed the labels, so I relent. Lol!

Do a double wrap before you drill the hole. You're gonna enjoy this. :high-five:

What? Seriously? But it's used for duct work; therefore, duct tape. What the heck is DUCK tape for? Poor ducks.

Seems like you guys really like Duck Tape. When I'm hearing Duck Tape I imagine a duck taped in with tape... Well, good morning, I really shouldn't be talking more about duck tape... Well, I should be preparing to leave for my ambulance duty so should I bring some duck tape? Maybe some ducks need quick medical treatment with tape!

It's ancient and original plaster. What do you recommend?

I've had good luck using 'Wall-Dog' fasteners on my 1895 plaster and lath as well as modern sheetrock.

I'm as impressed as I can be with the genetics. It may find a way into permanent status.

I'm thinking it's getting close to the time when I maintain a stable of bonsai mothers. :laughtwo: I have a number of genetics I want to hold onto for continuious growth, but I still want to play with the occasional visitors. I may be able to make that happen with hempies of azalea pots. Something small, that won't take up too much real estate under lights.

--jumps up and down--
Haha it's here! The day I knew would come! First the experience with clones...now bonsai moms! Sue, you have finally come full circle. No longer that "exclusively seed to harvest", you are keeping great genetics going and cultivating that personal relationship with your girls.

It's such a cool
Shift because you start to think of the phenos you save as separate subsets. A carnival becomes less "carnival" and becomes more "CarnieA-she's a short stuff pheno with stacking thick buds"
Then becomes "carnieA- 1.3x stretch, amber trichs start day 59, needs light pruning, hates wet feet, and loves strong GE drenches"
Every cycle you get to know her better and all her sisters.

It's like the movie Groundhog Day where Bill Murray can date Andie McDowell over and over until he gets it exactly right. Hidden wonderful expressions can come out the fourth time you grow a clone. My huck kush 11 always had great structure but her terps were all myrcene and herbal. This last time they were an intense sour fruit that blew me away. A prize I would never have found without keeping clones.

I'm so happy that growing has brought you to this new dimension, the one of courting your girls for many years.

I'd have to admit this evolution was in great part due to your encouragement Shiggity. :hugs: Watching you and listening closely I finally got whiff of the difference it makes to watch the genetics over time. It seems every grow brings new wonder. I have to give thought to what space considerations I'll need for bonsai mothers, but that shouldn't be too difficult. Push comes to shove I can set up an auxiliary spot in the bathroom again.

You know, I found that bonsai mothers thread way back when Dale was still alive, and it was my plan that he'd heal and be the caretaker of the mothers. That didn't work out quite the way I'd planned, but I've had the thread saved to my home screen all this time, just waiting for me to get up to speed.

I believe I'm now up to speed. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Er...I am not making this up. I have a rubber chicken wrapped in biohazard tape hanging in a window at my abode. I never felt bad for the chicken.... until now.

No, it is not in the front window.

Duct tape - see? old habits die hard! :laughtwo: - is the dark force that holds the universe together. Lol! It can be used for just about anything, in a pinch. I'm surprised it's not part of your standard equipment, but then you have an array of adhesive tapes that may rival its effectiveness at your disposal.

Thank you Rad. :hugs::hugs::hugs: I'll go looking when I get to my walk today.

Good morning everyone:Love:

Cool enough to cut the air conditioning and open the windows. A sweet start to the day. :slide: Not much gardening going on, so I'll be focusing on finishing up a study project or two and in getting to my Callanetics session at long last. That's the joy I'm anticipating today. What's yours? :battingeyelashes: Whatever delicious flavor joy chooses in your life at this moment I encourage you to mix it up with the flavors of those you meet today. The blending of joyful flavors makes for the brightest sparkle, and I'd like us to be as bright as the stardust we're derived from.

Get out there and share that joy. I'll do my part over here along the banks of the Mighty Mon. :Namaste:

Well, I just came back from my trip on the ambulance, we were the medical post at horsejumping championship Belgium. A lot of fun not much to do and it was hot.

So now I'm home and I need to gill 2 10 gallons/40 litre fabric pots with soil in my ambulance clothes. I wonder what my neighbours think...

Please welcome my newest addition to the family. We suspected the plant the seeds came from was Lamb's Breath, but who can really tell? It came by way of a random cab driver in Negril, Jamaica. She joins the Jamaican Dreams community grow, as well as being covered here at home base.

Welcome little one. Grow up big and strong, and female.

This was one of the seeds I treated with banana peels. Let's hope that adventure worked in my favor. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Duct tape-was originally invented by Johnson & Johnson's Permacel division during WWII for the military. The military specifically needed a waterproof-tape that could be used to keep moisture out of ammunition cases. ... As to why it was originally-called-"Duck"-tape-by the soldiers isn't entirely known.

It's called duck tape, I believe, because water runs off of a ducks back, hence the waterproof part of the tape.

Drops mic...

:laughtwo: Well, that's as good a reason as any. Lol! I'll go with that. Thank you Canna. :hugs:
