SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

I woke up to the numbers Trump is in the lead.... good luck to you all, whom ever you voted for.

Just one question, i collect the stems of dried buds (streetweed) and stick them in the freezer + any leaf I cut from my ladies, it goes fresh in the freezer too. My idea was to collect a big bunch to make butter, so i can make brownies or cookies.
question is, ONLY the fresh trimmings needs to be decarbed or the dried stems too (from the street weed).

I am looking for a very good arthritis pain med recipe, i recall someone discussing adding magnesium chloride to the cream and having excellent results.

How to Make Your Own Canna Magnesium Lotion

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Magnesium Flakes
2-3 Tbsp. Distilled Water
1/4 Cup Canna-Infused Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Grapeseed Oil
1 Tbsp. unrefined Shea Butter
2 1/2 Tbsp. Bees Wax
1 tsp. Vitamin E oil
20 — 30 drops of Essential Oils (optional, I added Lavender Oil right before whipping)

Instructions
In a small saucepan, bring the 3 Tbsp. of distilled water to a boil and remove from heat. Then add 1 heaping 1/2 cup of Magnesium Chloride Flakes. Stir until the flakes have dissolved. Now you have your Magnesium oil.
With your magnesium oil set aside, turn the heat down to low, and put all other ingredients into a separate small saucepan and stir until everything is dissolved into a liquid. Remove from heat to let cool until the oils turn an opaque color.
Next, whip your oil ingredients in the saucepan with a stick blender while slowly pouring in the Magnesium Oil you made. Whip all ingredients until well blended into a thick consistency. Scoop into an airtight container and voila, your homemade Magnesium Lotion is complete. (I poured mine into small jars while still hot) This recipe makes about 8 oz. of lotion and keeps for about 6 months.

I have a friend whose daughter has CP. She gets horrible muscle spasms in her legs. This lotion does not completely resolve the spasms but gives her enough relief that she is able to sleep at night. She wants me to make her another batch ASAP.

Try more THC, if that's possible Mighty Mouse. My friend with the back pain says the same thing about the pain cream I made for him. We're thinking of trying some made with Gorilla Glue #4, for the increase in THC alone.

Hi Sue! You gave me instructions on how to make CCO from hash and said to ask for instructions on how to make it from buds. I harvested about a month ago and buds have been dried and are curing. How long before I can make oil for best results and can you give me the instructions?

I can find only liquid magnesium chloride. Any idea how i should dilute that compared to the flakes? thanks.

I got my magnesium chloride from the amazon. It is way less expensive to get the powder or flakes than to get the liquid already made up. I have not tried the liquid but think maybe too much water in the liquid for this recipe.

Well, I found a company that makes the oil I think I want :) It seems like they have a good range, and I plan on trying several so I can find my sweet spot.

I'm still using the Hemp oil every day. It still does good things. But even after 6 weeks, it makes me feel "off" as well. I was willing to experiment for a time to see if that changed, but it really doesn't.

While it takes the edge of anxiety, it also makes my heart more likely to pound and just gives me a slightly edgy feeling that I am unable to describe. Anyone with anxiety knows that a pounding heart can lead very quickly to panic. This doesn't do that, but it makes me feel weird at times. I also feel groggy, and my eyes get heavy. It is still working for pain, but to take enough to really get rid of more intense pain leads to other feelings I don't like.

INTERESTINGLY.... If I take the hemp oil and then immediately move - walking, exercising, heavy cleaning/lifting - I feel better than normal - really good. My heart doesn't pound out of control, and my body feels good. But as soon as I stop and have rested awhile, those weird sensations kick in. Maybe it's a sign I need to keep moving, as we're meant to, eh, SweetSue? ;) It's just the strangest thing and I don't understand. Also - I rubbed some of the oil on acute pain sites the last couple of days and it seems to help, too.

I really, really wanted this to work, even though you guys warned me it's not the best.

Unfortunately, this cannabis company is a ways away, at least a 3 hour 1-way journey, so I won't be able to get there for awhile. If they work for me, resupplying is going to be interesting, too, but I'll make it work :).

Thank you for documenting that so thoroughly Sara. It's not often I get to hear of the physical effects of the Hemp oils. Life's a big science experiment, isn't it? I'm glad you found a company, but it's a pain it's so far away. In time we should expect the market to be more responsive to patient needs.

I know Sandra would've smiled big to hear you admit to the importance of movement. Time for a session of Callanetics. Somatics today.

I feel the exact same way when i go over that fine line of being to stoned, Need to be moving or doing something to keep the mind occupied, for me it is my A.D.D, that's why i prefer a 1/4 -1/2 drop once in a while when i want to relax( does not make the mind race if i dose correctly).
