Thank you Marc. You have a deeper understanding of the mechanics of biology than I do, so I appreciate your stepping in.
Gave me chills to read that list of Pharma drugs. Oh, that we could gather them all up and force the manufacturers to take them for longer than a month. I've lost my faith in conventional medical allopathic approaches.

Canna Montana got in touch with me today to share that she made a batch of gummies that were far superior in effect, with the same recipe measurements she always uses.
What did she do different? She got neglectful. Don't you just love how we discover these things by accident?
She loaded the MB2 with her buds and Everclear 151, turned it on the 4-Hr tincture setting and walked away. For a week. Life got busy and it sat in the closed MB2 for a whole week. After straining and continuing on she made the gummies and dosed as normal.
Only the dose hit much harder and lasted overnight and into the morning. This is akin to the process I once uncovered that left the oil cooking in a crock pot on low for a week. When I make my first batch of gummies next weekend it'll be following a 1-week sit in the solvent.
It's not like she created more cannabinoids, but letting it sit obviously creates more conversion to THC. This is where inexpensive testing would come in so handy, wouldn't it? It'd be nice to get the testing process so widely accepted that the price for basic cannabinoid and terpene tests could sit at around $10-20.

Dave Groomer has always used 8 hours for his oil extractions, and I've always questioned it. No longer. I've been using the Instant Pot and low and slo buds for my oils, and I know I'm getting nearly full decarb, because I tested it with the hot oil bath.
Canna just confirmed that she decarbs in the MB2. She says other people may decarb, but she doesn't see the need to, since she's getting the euphoric effect she enjoys after 4 hours in the MB2 at 170 degrees.
Leaving it sit for a week simply decarbed more THCa.
If Canna decarbs in the MB then it's probably not surprising at all that leaving it out for a week at room temps would create more TCH from the THCa (and CBN to boot!). Leaving it curing in a jar would probably do the same. Imagine the effect her gummies would have with an actual decarb

You do get the ‘lions share of thc-a to thc-9 converted ‘ above 100 c..boiling water. In ‘hours’..
An open ended container in a oven 350/375 f to heat weed to 120 c//242 f. Is a nice slow cook process. 15-25 miunutes. Smells great. When ammonia smell gone. Done remove.let it rest. Into freezer ,2-4 hours, into -10 c ethanol for 42 minutes.exactly. 42.00 lol... why shake it. Everything of value on the leaf ..it’s in solution.. pour it off, don’t let piece float into catch.. that’s pure liquid medicine. There is very limited tricome left on the leaf now.. great. Freeze it . Oh never let that weed get above -10c ..other thermal problem keep cold..use glove.for the weed not you.lol.add cold ethanol.. second extract sits 1 hour 42 minutes, exactly. Pour it off into another vessel. .. second pour has more terpenes. You can see and smell and knife burn test. Glass slide test. .. I keep two separate .. then I just mixed into one...
If you want to ‘age yoUr liquid thc. .. don’t.
Open air. Means dilution with water.. not bad ....not needed.
In sealed container, glass in sun.. the color changes.. it’s a nice touch. That’s ultravioket interacting. Some oxidation . Generally decay, weakening of the plant material.
The decarb really matches ‘sautéed onions’ the temps are exactly ..well nearly the same. Like cooking sugars.. nearly the same. Toasting bread. . I actually put bread into oven near old bear decarb device as indicator..
Into oils, the cannabinoids are drawn to the lipids due to ‘polar chemistry; . Literally positive negative charges on end of molecules. ..so first thc jump into a sea of warm lipid.. after a time. ...the next thc jumps into a cesspool of lipid. Other thc’s, water..and then the next thc eventually doesn’t want to jump.... now, using weed into lipids w/water portion , ie crock pot. This offers decarb, 1-3 hour very slow cook, temps at boiling ,,,by definition.. and best for some.. the stuff you want is now sucked into the lipid. The stuff you don’t want,,except sue sometimes, that’s in the water... then cold filtering the 3 hour cook. You remove hardened lipid. That’s lipid thc,,, yum.
The water is nasty.. I haven’t done process enough to find use for crock pot water. Oh it has all the waste leaf.
Time won’t do it. . More clean lipid would .but adding a little to a lot wears thin fast..
Lipid extraction suffers a lower ‘efficiency; when compared with qwet..
Oils in the 65% - ;75% due to limiting polar effects, described.
Qwet, is over 100% , especially on second extract. It’s thc, canna, and some ‘’crap’. Terpines galor..was too. Shitnthat will not burn.. ‘’’will not burn;’; myself .ill limit material ..that doesn’t burn,,
Fortunately, every step is so forgiving.. but you must know the limitations..
Don’t for a minute hope to take weed concentrate it. And make anesthetic. It’s not possible, nit desirable,imho. The weed is just one plant among many. A sweet one ,no doubt.
OTOH.. if you have a process . Magic .butter. Whatever.. do start there and heal. Time permitting.. try cooking it other methods.............

Marc, if you put the washes together in the end anyway, why not combine them after straining and let it reduce together?
I laughed at the preciseness of 42.00 minutes. Lol! I was planning to make some CCO but the cobs distracted me, and they take an ounce a piece. It may be a while before I break out the wash jars again. I have great success with infused oils, enough success that I hesitate to pull out the Everclear.
I don't ever incorporate water into my extraction process anymore Marc. I can't find a use for the nasty-tasting water either, and I'd rather not deal with it. I even started filling the capsules with the mash to keep from having to boil it to get the rest of the oil out. I'm ok with the oil-soaked plant material in capsule form.

I destroyed my Revere Ware pot that I’d used for over 40 years by leaving it go dry on the flame. *sigh* Now the Instant Pot is my only pot, excepting the ceramic skillets that I use for CCO.
I guess I’ll learn to use it now. Lol! Up till now infused oils were the only thing I’d used it for. Today I made porridge.
A woman’s gotta eat too, but I seem to be good at picking through the day. I stopped cooking when he died. All those years of preparing meals on schedule wore me out, I guess.
The longer I live alone the more I like it.

What I think I understand most about decarb is we think too much about it when it appears that the best medicines may contain a well-rounded representation of both acid and natural cannabinoids.

Decarb like sautéed hot as possible without damaging the fragile plant. Quick and thorough. I mean it’s an ounce of weed. Stand around and watch it. So 10 minutes too fast. 20-30 minute decarbed never more than 42 minutes..
