Surfin,
Did you take kill-a-watt readings after 20 minutes of running? I popped my 360 on the meter and it kicked off with a 490 watt start-up spike then settled down to 411 at 5 minutes and then down to 392 at 10 minutes and leveled off. I'm good with the 390 range. If yours doesn't kick down after 10-20 minutes of run time I would ask what they could do for you.
Welcome to the grow Crower619!!Hey Surf glad to see another resident in the San Diego area representing lol I'm glued to this grow I to have been thinking very hard about converting over to LED GS600 cant wait to see the final results good luck
Your Girls are Beautiful Surf, I think they like those LED lights. You got an awesome grow going on here.
Keep doing what your doing sweety!!
Welcome to the grow Crower619!!
Is that Crower as in crower cams and cranks? I would love to see a grow with that light if you do end up getting it. Keep me posted.
Thank you and welcome to the grow!
Thanks Anomoly23,
That really means a lot coming from a great grower such as yourself. I looked at your journals and all your grows did so well I hope I have the same success as you have had. Well it's funny that you asked I don't know if you read one of my earlier post but all 3 weeks of my veg process and the first week of flower I was mixing my nutes all wrong. If you can believe this I was putting them all in the same container together with no water and they would lock each other out. So with that being said:
1st week of veg PPM was 300-330
2nd week of veg PPM was 450-500
3rd week of veg PPM was 550-650
I hope this helps but again I have no idea how much the plants were actually taking because I was mixing wrong. This is my first grow as well so I do not have any prior experience with this strain, right now I'm on 3rd week flower and the PPM strength is right at 1200-1220 and they seem to love it. How many times a day do you flood/feed?
Yum000,
No worries about the questions that's what we are all here for and I realize that my journal is not the most detailed but I will get better my next time around! You can totally get 8 buckets in that space check it out I put together a crude demo for you in a 36" x 36" box real quick so you can visualize (9) 2 gal buckets. They look smaller without plants in them.
I am doing 12 plants right now, you can do as little as 1 plant and go up to 48 plants with the same brain unit. I do not have a water chiller right now, I am using frozen 2 liter's to keep the temp down I have a system that works great for me, only have to do it twice a day! Res temp always within 63-69 degrees. I do plan on getting a chiller for my next crop though. Feel free to ask as much as you want I spent 2 hours with a guy at my local hydro shop this system looked like the best for my needs.
HighDive,
It definitely sounds like that might be the case, just remember that on 15 amp breaker you can only get up to 13 amps constant power anything above that will cause the breaker to shut off, or anything that spikes to 14 amps will pop the breaker as well. Thank you for the complement, by people thinking that this is not my first grow says a lot about how the girls look!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am already planning my next grow, I will be moving up to 20 plants and possible 3rd LED!!!
Thanks Surfin I adjusted my ppms down a bit for my gods gift seems to be liking it, leaves perked back up and the damage to the leaves does not seem to be spreading and the ppms have been pretty steady as well as the PH so I know I found the equilibrium finally Thanks for the tips on the feeding schedule. Thanks for the props as well It looks like you care for your ladies and do not leave much to chance like me. If you have a good attention to detail and you keep it simple you will have the same and better success than my grows Looks like you are right on track to being a experienced grower yourself keep up the good work. Oh and I use bubble buckets so i do not have a flooding schedule they are DWC buckets.
How many frozen 2 liters do you use for what volume of your reservoir? Care to elaborate on it, I'm doing the frozen bottle thing too, once you get used to its not bad, but an automated chiller would be the Shitttt
Thanks for the info on the amps. Now, I know why. Can't wait to see your expansion! Will you be running the same system or trying something new? Same LED or different? Recently I put back the 600w hps in one tent, and combined two 180w LED for the other tent. Single 180w LED alone does not give enough punch in 4x4 space. Already knew that, but tried it anyway. Looks like I might have to upgrade to 300w per tent. How many weeks will you flower these?
Hey Anomoly123,
Glad to hear the girls are perking up for you! Did you grow your gods gift from clone or seed?
I grew this gods gift from clone and I started her at 400 ppms just like every other clone ever but it didnt like that at all, it was very strange. Ya they are looking so good at the moment finally!! For a while I was really thinking about scratching the hydro cause my soil plants are doing so amazing right now and take NO maintenance compared to hydro. Here is what I think my major problem was. Before my initial transplant to hydro I forgot to soak the hydroton in R/O water for a few hours, remove all that clay dust and let the ph normalize within the medium. Soooooooo for the first few weeks my PH was like a tennis ball at wimbelton lol it was just going crazy jumping from 5.5 to 7.0 in just a few hours!! On top of that I had one plant that liked nutes and the other that was very picky so it was hard. Now they are doing so well I dont want to change anything lol But I need to do a res change. I hope it all stays on track.
I'd also look at "marketability" of your next strain. I would agree with Crower, OG's are always a popular one. I have the Heavy Duty Fruity in my seed bank (along with 20 other strains, went crazy on the last seed order).
Are you planning on seeds or clones for your next grow? One of the collectives in North County has a good selection of seeds and clones. I can PM you the name if you need it, although there are some very good ones down South as well.
WOW i like em all i know thats no help but they all sound so good
Go with the kush strains best to abuse lol or an OG strain my next grow im going with is OG herijuana good luck cant wait to see
