Surfbuddy's GLR 2L DWC-H Coco Lowryder - Big Bud - BubbleGum - Northern Lights

Zup Surfbuddy ;)
looks a lil strange. Could it be from waterdrops drying out in the sun on the leave? That water can get pretty hot and burn the leave if too close too the light..

I'd have to agree with Juicy, thats exactly what it is

Hmm, I've never sprayed them, but I did accidentally drip some water on that leaf just before the photo, LOL. I am using a dunk method to water them, so the leaves never get wet. Oh wait. that one slipped out of my fingers today and it splashed in the cup. But was that the first feeding or second or third. LOL... Maybe humidity changes in the night causing condensation/transpiration/dew? When I dripped the water I immediately wiped it off, but the spots were already there... I'll keep an eye on it though, and be more careful when dunking so as not to splash it.

Thanks Jucy and alaskan!
you guys rock:headbang: Love this place.

Thanks :420:

Excellent help/suggestions. Just thought I'd say that. And +rep M2

Like minds my Friend :thumb:

:peace:

Dammit, you all answered his questions so I can't add anything........I have nothing to say at this point lol

Well then I am just glad you agreed then LOL :)

:peace:

Hmmm, GLR from seed, eh? My next batch will get it. I liked it so much so far, just though there would be/are issues with getting clones to root under it.

OK, so my seedlings are still far from it then... wasn't sure if it was a node deal or what, but I like the 5 finger barrier. Thanks.

Nice. Mr. Sparkle means clear. I'm glad I'll be able to see just by taking photos... by putting the thing almost against my cornea I still couldn't tell. I guess I'll have to take more pictures today!

I agree that when I first tried GLR, I switched from 24/7 and it boomed. Not sure if it was relative or just was going to boom anyway? It seemed to grow better to me. And it also REALLY seemed like it turned to flower quickly.

BPN is in the house! Nice scope. I'm really trying not to spend any more money right now... I'm so far in the hole and still have not even pulled my first harvest yet. :) But it's only 27 bucks LOL. That's what gets me in trouble...It's only 5 bucks... it's only 10 bucks, it's only 27.LOL Maybe I'll work overtime to cover it.

I would like to thank all three of you, M2, Jandre, and BPN! +reps to all three.

I have a troubling turn with my seedling. I will post a photo in my next post and seek your help/advice.

Yes, and I also have UBT tops and clones under it as well. Mind you the height of the CFLs above them are like 2' up. I have rooted most of my tops and the ones that didn't wasn't because of the GLR it was damping off...
Mine just flat out grow better with GLR and I like the less heat during the summer the most, but I won't be switching away from it.

Very nice scope BPN, Thanks. I need one and that looks to be a great first choice :thumb:

Thank you Surf you are to kind, we just want everyone to have fun and successful grows :high-five:

:peace:

Hey surf. I think they will both be just fine. I would trans that seedling into your hibrix soil. I bet it will be right as rain before you know it.
Those twisting leaves I have seen before from Doc I think and that is just to much of the crazy growth nutes.
Dosen't look like you over nuted, but they sure took up a full shot LOL.

Other than those couple of things they are looking good my friend. :thumb:
Just my thoughts...

Thanks M2, I'm going to wait on the high brix until I have a boatload of clones to try it on, for this run the seedlings will go into 2L DWC, since I am having success with that and since it's my first shot at all this Maybe when I UBT the sucker :)

I agree, they did suck up the nutes, and this is one reason why BPN is so awesome, available nutes without the burn! I skipped veg 1 and 2 because I was going straight into flower next week.

Thanks again for your help and attention. :thanks:

Finally, I can complain. Took me 3 pages to catch up...your moving along now! :high-five:

lol
i wish i had that problem lol
wait i do when i look at your page OMM

UPDATE:
Made some UBT on the NL clone and BigBud Mom, also took clone from Liberty Haze seedling since I had all my tools etc. out. The other two Bigbud clones are getting tall- about 7" The weak one has caught up to the medium one.
Day 31 12/12, Day 27 Bloom
A week since the first accidental supercrop. Girls are thickening. Got a new light in the flower tent too. Makes taking photos more difficult, so just this one of the NL supercrop, the top of the cola is actually on the left:

And the new light setup in the tent:

you guys make me wanna drop some LED in my grow haha!

well 4 pages and finally caught up! but damn i only missed a few days!
deff looking forward to buying that new microscope to check out trichs.. even tho i just bought mine yesterday for 17 bux ahaha but its "alright" i want usb compatibility..
anyways ur girls seem to be doing straight!

those spots should be water burns.. i think ur too early to have pH lockouts! cause that does happen when a plant gets locked out in the beginning..

post more photos and keep an eye on it..
we'll do all we can from this side of the screen!

+reps! keep on greenin!

Nice light and great bend!

Out standing pictures My firend. That bud looks like it belongs there! :thumb:

Thanks Guys, appreciate the comments and reps. Will try to get some photos before lights on today... it always seems to sneak up on me somehow, and I can't get up at 530 am when it goes off LOL

Mixing up some high brix soil today.. my tests seem to be doing OK, but I think I want perlite in the mix.> My first one had NONE, and does dry out in a day, but I'm worried about compaction in the soil (it's Nui Proffesional potting mix that looks like compost/humus?) The weak NL clone and I think the Bubblegum in flower that is too damn slow are going in to it. The BG is so far behind the others I don't want to be waiting on that straggler to finish out while my veg plants are itching to get in there.

Round 2-3 update:
Both clones and moms seem to be doing OK after UBT. Seedlings are also happy. Also, all 2L's got airstones today. So some photos:

3rd generation Northern Lights and Big Bud 2nd Generation Liberty Haze

2nd Gen clones after UBT, I left the two weaker clones to see the difference. I think next time I'll wait for another node before I do the seedling, but I didn't want to waste cloning gel.

I was behind several pages too! Plants are looking very healthy and green! :thumb:

Hey things are looking good in here bro! Yeah my pics are "ok" i guess, but yours are super crisp and clear
. :bravo::high-five: oh and + reps
I am just using a point and click, but have to pull the plant out of the tent to get decent lighting. Thanks for the Reps!
wow Surf.........wanna come grow mine?? lol
Nice looking healthy plants thats for sure man!
LOL, kind of a long way to go :) But I'm honored at the invite. I should be asking the same of you! I can't get the larger scale hydro thing going for the life of me. These little 2L's seem manageable though..

Thanks Closet Farmer, just trying to let them do their thing without getting in the way!

Thanks guys!

UPDATE
Day 32 12/12 Day 28 Bloom
Moved two plants to high brix mixes to see how they'll do. First the slow as hell bubblegum that looks like it's two weeks behind the other plants. Here are her roots, see how they wrapped around the airstone?:
BGrootsDSC00145.jpg

Here she is from the side.
BGslowDSC00144.jpg

There are two lowryders in this group, and they look totally different. Here is the one that's smaller, but farther along. I'll be lucky to get 1/8 out of it.
Lowryder1DSC00164.jpg

This is the other lowryder, much taller, but delayed--maybe it was shaded more by the other plants?
Lowryder2DSC00150.jpg

And I can't stop taking pictures of the NL, I keep hoping that supercrop will not superflop, and instead will become a supertop.
