I`ve had to deal with gnats before too. Don`t stop treating for them once you start or else you will have a sudden flood of them again. Your doing the right thing by dosing the plants with an epsom salt solution. The faded leaves look like it may also be a Micronutrient deficiency. Hopefully the epsom will help with that too. Keep us posted and good luck with those damn gnats!

I thought the leaves looked like they're having a deficiency too.... or can gnats do that on their own?

I've had good luck with Ironite Mineral Supplement. It has all the micros except magnesium, which the epsom salts have covered.

How are the babies doing?

Good luck Tmac!

Hey Blue, Ebud and Smokey, Thanks for coming by~~
The way I understand it is that larva feed on the roots. Damage to the roots cause damage to the plant. It may cause deficiencys by feeding on the roots, they cant uptake the nutes. Trouble is this is the best plant so far of this line. The buds look much better on Sassy than they did on Sunni.
The buds are a lot closer together, Sassy did not stretch as much.
The babies are doing fine. I am gonna start another journal for them. Since they are Kush and because we will be taking clones, could be an ongoing journal with them.

Whew you guys/girls up early.LOL.So darn cold here couldnt even stay in bed had to get the fire going..
I have never had a troubes with nats before not even sure what they look like.Got them darm spider mites out side they are always a hand full can only grow non juicy strains outdoor. But thats ok realy like the indoor plants so much more healthy looking.
I think your ladys are looking good given the amount of light. The yellowing may be from lack of light and missing food in the nutes. Not sure may be bugs as I have not experienced nats before.I know if you were running c02 this would kill any bugs.but this may not be ideal for you guys.I can recomend a very good and affordable nute product that I have seen on larger grows.Maxsea works well.you half to add in the epson salt to make it a complet feed.It comes in dry form and dissolves completey and has all the beneficials of sea weed n stuff(its not maxy crop)I think botanical makes it.20 buck I think for 5 punds they make a 1 part and a 2 part. Its npk is like 17-17-17 or something and mj is recomended @20-20-20.So its pretty close. And also you half to remember chemical and organics are measured differently.Like with my grow my ppm may seem low but I am using organics that are not possible to measure.:nicethread:

Hey Turttle, you posted at 12:50pm my time!! Not to early!:smokin: Heard it was -13 in Montana this morning, need a fire there for sure! Hoping to get some more lite in the closet soon. Need to figure out some wiring.

Thanks J4 Sassy is on day 28 of flowering. Hope she starts fattening up some. Her sisters had some fantastic sticky buds, just not very big buds. For all she has been thru with these gnats, she is holding her own!! :smokin:

Ow wow. That is cold.We got down to 20 I think and up the mt was -1.BRRRR -13 is snot sickle cold.Did some ice fishing in utah and it was this cold we had to put our caronas in the ice chest to keep them from freezing lol.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We ate to much as usual and watched some football! :cheertwo: Go Patriots!! :cheertwo:

update: scraped the DE off the soil, vacuumed and watered, put a new layer of DE down. Hate having all the soiled covered, dont know how else to kill these buggers.

Okay!! new idea! I heard about panty hose around the bottom of the pots. How bout around the plant as well. I guess I mean stem as well., might have to be exta large??? What do you think??

Your gonna need some BIG GIRL pantyhose for that! lol

I would image it would just decrease some of the light efficiency but would probably work to keep em off, but the pot idea is much easier

Aww kinda jealous how you guys are having Thanksgiving now. I think it would be in best interest of both Canada and the USA to join our Thanks and celebrate both dates in both countries!!! Whos in for next year? ***drools at the idea of 2x times the turkey next year***

Come on down Hardrope, we have plenty of left overs.... tasty as the first time. I take that back, we are now out of mash pot, very little stuffing left, and all the dessert is gone, got some cool whip though~~

Hey Herb, I mean just stretch over and aroun the stem of the plant, keeping the flying ones from launching, but more so getting them DE covered. But maybe that is big ggirl pantyhose. I just dont care as long as I kill the shit our of these gnats. I sat up there off and on for couple hours today, killing the suckers....sadistic I know.... you see how I suffer

Lol. I've logged many an hour doing that myself. And for every generation you smash in a day, there's a speedier generation there to greet you in the morning. Makes it easier if you mist 'em with water when you see them zipping around. Slows them way down. Damn bugs. Damn Miracle Grow.

Yea I have one pest strip in the closet as close to the plants as I can put it!! Maybe good for some things, but doesn't seem to do anything for fungus gnats! Gotta go into town today, so gonna try and get some thuricide to douse them with. Ghetty Green suggested that. Will cover the top of the pot with pantyhose after the dousing.
I am concerned about all the DE I have been using. When I watered yesterday it was very slow seeping into the soil. I had vacuumed up all the loose DE and soil. Afraid it is keeping air from the soil. Need to add some soil to the top of the pot.
