Im glad im not the only one that smiled when i saw this the first time. Im gonna try this tonight when i get home with one of mine as an experiment.The ponytail master is back at it

Topped Waffle and she's starting to pick up speed. Gnomie is blowing up. She's very frilly. Looks sad in pictures because the light had just come on. She was pony-tailed for 4 hours last night and will have another 4 hours tonight. Might bend her over and tie her down tomorrow or Wednesday. Waffle getting first 4 hours with ponytail tonight. Gnomie should need water tomorrow. Lowered light back to 26". They should be able to handle it now.
As for why i do pony-tailing lets look at Gnomie from the top down
Those top two sets of fan leaves are getting like 75-80% of the light and the rest is going to that lower big set of leaves. When i tie the top two sets of leaves up into the ponytail like this
All those lower sprouts suddenly get full light and it triggers them to get growing. Result is a bushier, and hopefully, healthier plant with more limbs to spread out with LST in a few days.

Thanks guys! It only took 3 days with 4 hours a day but Gnomie is a fat little bush now. Lst probably starting tonight after feeding.
Also decided what to do with most of the bud from Jane last grow. Bubble hash coming soon. I have some ice cubes to make.

I do it for 4 hours usually just after the lights come on. Not sure if that matters or not, but always during lights on. I do it from the day after i top the plant until the day I start lst. If I didn't do lst I would keep doing it longer.Love it

Day 19 and 17
Gnomie very thirsty tonight. Gave 1.5L with 1/2 tsp great white, 1ml silica blast, 1ml calmag, 2ml grow big and 3ml big bloom. Plant is too big to water with trenches now so gnats will be coming. Will probably spray them both with safers soap and neem oil tomorrow. They are healthy enough now that a few gnats wont do any damage. Tipped Gnomie over and strapped her down. Tied a few larger limbs off to the side and tucked some of the other leaves down to get light to the inside of the plant. Will keep adjusting this every few days to spread her out over the pot.

Getting into the fun part now.

95g of de-stemmed bud to be frozen and combined with 160g of fresh frozen trim for bubble hash hopefully tomorrow night. Needed to take some precautions in case the mother in law looks in the freezer when she is over. Gotta be smart in this game.

I topped the day before I started the ponytail. But you could do it anytime you want the inside of the plant to get light.
Sweet cant wait to see how the bubble hash turns out for ya.. looking to do that with some of the stuff from my bigger photo gals this go. Maybe ill dry sift again though it was pretty decent. Convince me otherwise!! The MIL will never suspect a thing! ....

Waffle got same feeding that Gnomie got last night. Tightened Gnomie's wires a little and re-tucked some leaves. Waffle having last ponytail sesh and will probably tie her down tomorrow. Sprayed both with neem oil and safers soap. Smooth sailing so far.

Didnt take any pictures of the process of making the bubble hash but i was in a rush and there are youtube videos that show it far more clearly than i could. Ran it 5 times since i kept getting yield. If i was just using sugar leaf 3 would have probably been enough. Bags were good. Seem good quality and fit over the bucket properly. Machine is loud and annoying but does the job for me. End product is slowly drying out in the closet of the grow room. Crumbs got me fucked up.
Opened the tent after the light came on and caught Waffle praying so i attacked her with straps.
Gave Gnomie 2L of just water and added some more straps. Hoping i wont be able to see soil in 2 days.
