Strawberry Cough? Yes Please! LOS Grown

Woof! I had a stomach virus or something that left me out of service for a day and a half. Iron stomach has been my middle name until now other than seasickness and migraines I've never had problem with input and outputting. I have a new respect for peeps with a stomach ache! Scary stuff but i'm good to go. Ate some rice today and it stayed! Going to do it again soon.

It's going around up here today. Not so much "down", just very nauseous today. We'll live. Cannabis and Julie's biscuits help a lot!! Cheers

I've never been one to be concerned about gender of seeds while in veg. I only buy feminized stock and knock on wood I've never ran into a dude. The only sure fire way to tell is to send it into bloom and you'll know in a week, so even if planning for a perpetual sequence, the most you'll lose is a week and you can gain that back at the next switch out.

It's my experience that feminized stock is fairly solid for growing fem plants. If you're working from regular seeds, you can either send a rooted clone into bloom first as a test dummy, or send the big plant in and find out the hard way. Sorry I have no better advice for this situation.

Ok thanks for your time

That's the ticket Sky! Good thinking. That's an option if I need the space especially.

Congrats on the MOTM win bud!

IDK how The Rev's method differs from DBHBB, but they do pot dunking which I assume is about the same as filling the trays so they leach from the bottom, but I'm still trying to figure out the "why" for that practice. Does the Rev mention anything to this effect?

As a rough est, I'd say I'm a couple 3-6 months behind you in transition. I'm still in hydro now, but will be is something similar to the DBHBB in a few months and I need to glean from you what I can.

Doc suggests dunking because it saturates the root ball fully as stated already, plus when you pull the plant out of the water/dunk oxygen gets pulled into the soil as the water drains. So not only are you fuly saturatng the soil you are also oxygenating it

It's time for her to make some flowers! This morning I set the lights to 12/12 and am calling today day 0. Day 157-0. She's drinking almost 3 1/2 gallons in 3 days and that's still changing to more water over less time. She still looks tired at the end of a 16 hour light shift, but comes back strong after the lights out rest. I'm curious to see how she handles a 12 hour light out period.

Her mom stretched around 16 inches. I'm planning for the same. The lights sit at 28 inches, I haven't moved them in there yet. With any luck there's plenty of head room.

So I'm trying to give this one water only. Given the history I have with her and her mom they both have rejected my efforts to feed them. Wether it was nutes with mom, or AACT with her, they both defoliate after application. I have to wonder if it's my making. Was my under-watering after a contributing factor? Maybe. I grew her mom with 3 different tent mates and they were all on different water schedules. I could easily have missed her calls since I now can see this one is talking to me in a language I need to learn. So far, the more I keep her watered, the better she grows. Sounds simple. Hahahahaha!
My dream is that proper watering makes her strong and able to prosper. With that, if there's a deficiency later, maybe I'll be able to treat it successfully and keep all her leaves.

I have to say I'm a little unsure of this beauty's outcome. Let's hope for the best. I'm as excited as all get out about her though! She's Huge now, about 4 feet around.

On the awesome side. I forgot to mention the smell she's giving now is of strong cat piss. I haven't smelled this from her or her mom so I guess I'll take it as an expression of better health than ever! (dreamer) Hehe Does anyone remember the character "Mr inuendo" from the 80's maybe? I think it was a Saturday Night Live skit Where the main character says something pert then in a lower tone voices a comedic answer to his own statement? I see you had to be there.
Anyways I hope that is truly a sigh of better health than ever. I believe it is.

I went back to the last grow and here's my last post and chuckled when I read it."Strawberry Cough came down too. This plant drove me nutz the whole time. I never did make her completely happy. Best I did was keep her from dead. The ugliest I've grown to date. Calcium by the truckload and a light feeder as far as I can tell. She got dank though! My trimmers got the stickiest on her"

Go figure!

Looking awesome up in here! :yahoo:Just finished reading this on the way home from work, what a great recovery and congrats on the MOM. I can't wait to see this beauty in full bloom much love mate :passitleft::thumb:
