Haven’t seen him active much in the past day or so.That's funny, I usually tag your dad in when I mention dunks, but you showed up automatically!
To use them effectively, you'll need to keep your plant water in a bucket or barrel,so you can treat the water with the dunks 24 hours before you use it on your plants.
I keep a 5 gallon bucket in the garage for my plant water-I drop half a dunk in the bucket every 3 weeks or so- they will populate the water with BTI ,the bacteria that kills the larva when they ingest it.
It takes about two waterings with the treated water to kill all the larva- so then you just wait 2 or 3 days for the adults to die off, and you'll be gnat free- so it's not an "instant" fix,but it does work
I just use the treated water on my plants all the time, to keep the gnats from coming back.
The BTI is harmless to everything except mosquito and soil gnat larva, so it doesn't hurt the plants.(or you)
That's exactly right ! I just leave all the dunk residue in there, and pour it through a strainer when I dip it out for the plants- when it gets too residue-y in there, I just clean it out and start over, every couple of months usually- I've got to keep 10 gallons prepped now, because I've got 6 plants going, and they all seem to need water at the same time...If I understand correctly this should be the way to do it?
Thanks for the tag!for showing up when I call.
I love watching lighting storms but hate when they actually wreck stuff, glad your power is backThanks for the tag!
I'd of been here sooner, but we had a lightning storm this morning that knocked the power out all day..
Hey @r0am1ng st0ner just caught up and just in time for the good stuff. Looking good buddy. I run around 900/1000 ppm, they should be fine. The hydro ladies are starting to eat a lot more the ppm hit like 605ppm yesterday before I put it up and this morning I continued bringing it up a little all the way to like 720 where it stabilized but now that is dropping again. The leaves if the pictures don't show are not too dark or showing any burns and I would like to put the sauce at 900-1000ppm next water change and see what they do. I will start at 900 and if after 3 days they are eating and not burning up I will shoot for that 1000ppm. I need to go buy another bit of pipe to make a second net before these ladies get too carried away; has anyone reading this used a double scrog net or know someone to tag in that would be able to say how far apart they left their 2 nets?
Looks amazing man!I am always around and I will try to help. I like playing in the water! Stuff can grow quickly when your dialed in.
